      When I moved to LA, I took a spare old sprinkler that my parents had, sealed it up from the inside, and used that to hide a spare key for the apartment I was moving into. If my parents or sister were dropping by when I wasn't around, they knew which sprinkler was fake.

    • @BabyNoah22
      @BabyNoah22 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      What thief is eyeballing your head rest to smash and grab? 😂...I mean come on now. Sounds silly....and even if it did happen...why would you leave your firearm in your car? I think your comment is debunked along with the 8 people who thumbed you.

    • @corporalpunish6089
      @corporalpunish6089 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @ I leave my firearm in my car when I have to go into a location that restricts my carry, such as a mall or movie theater. I secure it in a safe in my armrest that is attached to the vehicle via internal screws. Many others use an under seat lockbox that is secured via cable. Many States require that it be done this way. It is not considered secured otherwise. Secured will always be stronger than just hidden. Many of us consider firearms ownership serious enough to take the most caution possible. Hopefully you understand.

      @ They are referring to once the pistol is locked inside that the door is locked. They are not referring to the headrest locked into the seat. I’m not picking a fight with anyone here. If you like it, buy it. I’m just saying that my security preference is a safe that is affixed to the vehicle. I do the same in my home. My safe is bolted to the floor.

    Just a heads up if you own any safe with a digital pad, or anything that uses a battery. If there’s a solar flare or EMP pulse, it’s fried. A good old dial safe is underrated.

    • @zero11010
      @zero11010 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s generally nonsense from paranoid people.
      Also, most electronic locking devices also have manual opening options … because if there is a battery you need a way in one day when the battery dies (THAT is actually guaranteed to happen).
      Which major metropolitan area do you live in? What does it actually take to generate an EMP? How likely do you honestly think it is that an EMP would be used in your area? Follow up, since humanity has had the ability to create an EMP when has one actually been used in the real world? Right? If you were attacking the strongest nation in the world, why would your plan include a nuke detonation high up in the atmosphere in that specific area? The US has been fighting in wars for most of the last 60 years … how often have we used EMPs as a tactic for regional instability or to create chaos before an attack?
      The EMP paranoia is nonsense.
      Solar flares? We’ve had electronics covering the planet for how many decades? How often have solar flares been an issue?
      This is more nonsense.
      You COULD spontaneously have a brain hemorrhage. It’s more likely than this other stuff.

But I do have some staged in different areas for easy access. Hardening your home entrance is one of the best things you can do. An alarm system does not hurt either along with cameras.
