i am the kind of person that makes a wood encasement frame and metal panel on that and rubber mulch filled to stop bullets comming through the door. so yup gadgets are fun.

You put security bars, riot or ballistic glass security doors in front of security entry/exit doors with reinforced door jambs, hinges, knobs and looks that can't be picked. Even simple security bars under door knobs help but have a gun on you.
That fog cannon is definitely a great choice for home defence. In combination with a strobe light and a very loud siren you got a very effective home defence system
Something similar has been around for a few decades. I looked into a similar fog alarm system when I owned a gun shop around 20 years ago.
The fog is only a good idea if it doesn't interfere with nigh vision goggles. You need to be able to identify your targets.
@@rich7447 NVGs are almost useless in "fog" like this. Thermal devices would be the preferred choice to "see" others in this scenario.

The problem with "non-lethal", or "less-lethal", is that criminals will come back, for vengeance. And they already know your security set up.
That’s why you leave no bodies, and call no cops.
exactly, when a criminal makes the decision to come into your home they already decided to do everything including burn it down with your dead body inside in order to get away. so why in gods mercy would you allow them to leave knowing your security setup?

The Genesis Arms website say that the Gen-12 less lethal shotgun is "Only for Agency Purchase," so it seems it's not an option private citizens' home security.
It's hard to state that this "less lethal" gun can be used for home defense, as it's ONLY available for law enforcement. Kinda hard to sell to the general public. 😔

Should probably leave the Genesis LL shotgun since it’s only for “law enforcement” purchase only. Doesn’t work for the average citizen, it is cool though!
The Genesis Gen 12LL shouldn’t be on this list. It’s a Law Enforcement item only. So it’s not good for everyday home defense.
So, the "salt" gun uses a chemical compound that is worse than the military grade cx tabs?
I don't know about that, but there is a lot of cleanup after using a device like this.
If you are in a home defense situation then don't show up to a fight w/a non-lethal option, you are going to lose.
The capsaicin balls are banned for civilian use in California. The state really doesn't believe in the citizens' right to self defense.

Fogger with strobe and shrieker, however, WILL be effective as the fog would scatter the light into an impenetrable, blinding haze.

The robot voice did not help. There was no coordination between the "voice" and what was shown on the screen e.g. around 3:40 (45 minutes on screen but the "voice" said 30 minutes. "Survival Gear" did a poor job of reviewing its video before presenting it. Therefore I voted NO.
