This is incredibly INCREDIBLY useful!!! Thank you, you saved my life!!! From: an SEO content writer who doesn't know jack about the technical aspect of SEO but has applied for a role they're super underqualified for and now needs to learn a new skill at 3:40 in the morning.
Love this! So much great knowledge and still really easy to understand for a beginner like myself. Subscribed to the channel and the podcast and I can't wait to learn more!
Trying to dive deep into SEO myself, I may have mentioned that before, just found this post. Loving this channel. So impressive, very succinct, very, very helpful! I'm experimenting with SEO for a small Security Company wishing to provide a variety of security services in Scotland, including for the expanding tv and media industry here, so my one of my KW would be "tv film media security Scotland". Downloaded the book, working my way through it. Thanks.
In the keyword research should you focus on people who are located in your country (or city) searching on your Product X keyword or should you focus on people who actually include the location in their search term "Product X in City A" or "Product X in Country A", etc.?
My business is super niche and technical. Us and all our competitors are only ranking for basically the name of our company/website, and our product is known by many, many names as it is a new tech (varients describing basically the same thing), and every one of those have 0 volume. Would love some advice for what the hell to do next! Thank you!
Thank you for the great content, it's saving me a lot of time, how many keywords are enough to work around with? What's the minimum and what's too much?- if there is such a thing
Hey Shadi! Glad you're enjoying our videos :D For keywords, we'd suggest more than 25 but not more than 100. Start with 25 and prioritise the ones that are the most important to you, and then work upwards from there. If you aim to target too many right away then you'll be trying to do too much at once which might result in you becoming burnt out. If you're in quite a niche industry, you might find that you have less than 25 keywords, which is ok too! I hope that helps - Jess
hi , before any thing i say thank you for writing such a good book and making this videos , i have a personnel question i want to ask you , what is your core reason ( or motivation ) for spreading your knowledge freely to people while some other people sell everything ? i want to know your mindset , thank you again , i hope you rewarded by the God
Awesome breakdown Tim! Seeing recent success in Super Bowl ads, I think "crypto" might be money. But it would also be pretty sweet to show up #1 when typing "fun"
You can only see the search terms that triggered your website to appear. Access to your competitors' Google Search console would be siiiiick, but is sadly rare (unless you have hacking skills)
@@ExposureNinja Thank you for the reply - I was relating to check your competitors 4.33 - I think you can only research competitors key words on Semrush?
I think my keyword would be be 'wellbeing in Bath', as my business offers relaxing (and healing) PEMF treatments in the heart of the Spa Quarter n Bath
There is no "usual" term here. Different people use different terms depending on where they are, but also where they sit in the marketing function. SEOs use one term, PPCs another, content creators and sales teams go one way or another.
@@ExposureNinja Well, I guess my real question is why are you splitting intent into two categories, rather than the 4 usual categories of “informational, navigational, commercial and transactional”?
You might want to pick 1-3 close match keyword phrases. It really depends on how much they vary and whether any of those would benefit from an individual page.
"blockchain" is too broad, I do not know where is the buyer intent there. They probably just want to know what is blockchain or the history of blockchain, etc.
@@ExposureNinja Well I believe this was one of the highest quality videos on Keyword research i've seen, filled with great information and freebies. I cannot imagine what else someone could ask for besides you guys doing it for them. Which ironically, you guys pretty much offer to help at the end of the video for free haha. Once again thank you for the great video, and I appreciate all the additional help/freebies you guys offer as well. Have a great day!
I've done SEO for 10+ years, using free tools and paid ones, for 1000s of clients making £10m+ per year. Paid tools not only have the best, more reliable table, they also shorten keyword research time down from full days to just a couple of hours. Can you rank using free tools? Yes. Absolutely. Will it take you 10x longer. Yep. Every single time.

You've made my day 🥰
It is a great video thanks for the great information and well delivered. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I picked up your e-book. Good stuff and it's interesting to see you're a drummer. Is the 'Black Flowers' theme by chance a subtle homage to Fishbone?
Thank you for the great content
I want to rank for "videographer". Thank you for sharing this information
Would perhaps consider including a location in that target keyword in order to make life a little easier (and results faster)
Tysm ❤

Haha yes, Crypto is for sure the gold rush of the moment! Uber competitive.
We'll give you a "fun" anchor text backlink from en.com ;-)
thank you this is very helpful
My favorite keyword would be "alternatives to exposure ninja". No, just joking. Sorry. It would be "personal injury lawyer".
Thanks Tim, value packed video. Keep it UP :)
More to come!
thanks for the info
You're welcome!
Is the older the site better for seo than new one?
Definately
Awesome video, thanks 👍
Thanks Tim - very useful for me as the admin of a small one man business in a highly competitive niche. My keyword would be motorcycle recovery 🏍🏍🏍
Cab you research competitors key words on Google search console?

WHICH WE DO NOT CONDONE
@@ExposureNinja Thank you for the reply - I was relating to check your competitors 4.33 - I think you can only research competitors key words on Semrush?
Very nice 👌👍
Thanks a lot
Hey bro, great video but why don’t you just create a keyword list in SEMRUSH instead of the spreadsheet?

Pleasure!
great video. I can't tell you all what keyword I want, silly! lol
"Food smoker recipes"? "Food smoker fuel"? Okay, we give up
Why are you using the term "Commercial" rather than "Transactional", which is the usual term used for that type of intent?

Do we only pick and use one keyword per page that we want to rank?

I'd love to rank for....Transformational Soul Stylist. I'm such a freak.
Naic
Cheers
Cleaning really old wood

Nice :) Some great keywords there!
🥰🥰🥰
Best keyword to rank for? “Free money”😂
Blockchain
Suuuuuper competitive!
"blockchain" is too broad, I do not know where is the buyer intent there. They probably just want to know what is blockchain or the history of blockchain, etc.
That wasn’t very useful.
Oh well

So in short, we need to pay for an SEO Keyword tool to stand a chance of ranking? Could of just said "purchase SEMrush. Link down below".
