Hey, Neil. I have an audio suggestion that may help with all the popping and thumping you have on these SEO course videos. You're probably using a cardioid mic that is aimed right at your face, but you don't have an adequate pop filter to prevent those plosive sounds caused by "Ps" and "Bs", etc.. That is what is causing the pop and thumping. My suggestion would be to get a pop filter (panty hose stretched over a hanger works) if you want to still use that microphone or you could instead use the lavalier mic you use in most of your other videos. Hi Neil, I have a couple of questions about SEO keyword research: 1. When researching keywords, is it recommended to research competitor websites. So, the business I may have may sell handmade wood products and I may want to research similar type businesses for keywords for use in my website. Is this good practice? 2. Should SEO keyword research be done just for the homepage or for all pages. Generally for the landing page or Home page, this is the norm. However, should SEO keyword research be done for the other pages even if the keywords used on the homepage lead to other pages on the site? 3. Is there anything that determines how many SEO keywords may be used for each individual site? So, basically if the website is large or small, does that have an effect on how many keywords you are researching for? Love your content by the way.
1. Absolutely check out your competitors. 2. It should be done for all pages and bog posts. 3. No there isn't. However each page should be optimized for about 2-3 keywords.

At 8:00 when you mentioned Beard People and Clean Shaven People...I think Clean Shaven People would be the target audience of the Shaving products company because the fact that they shave, and Beard people don't shave, they would buy the Shaving products companies' razor products because they are constantly shaving to be clean shaven. But also Beard people need a trimmer, so could also market to them too, if the company sells trimmers as well as razors.

Another one I try - together with Facebook Audience Insights there is LinkedIn Audience Insights. Whether you receive a lot of traffic from social or not, the tool will still give you insights into your web visitors.
Neil, regarding your point on an article about meta tags. These ‘beaten to death’ topics are normally the most highly searched and in turn, more valuable. I understand finding a niche angle to write about as well as being on the cusp of SEO evolvement (on topic news etc) - but surely, if you’re an SEO, you’re going to want to create exceptional content on topics that drive traffic no? And although these topics are beaten to death, what stops us from articulating Better articles that what’s out there already? Or would you just discourage this entirely?

Do I simply incorporate them into my product titles and descriptions, use them in posts, blogs? Great information! But I'd like to suggest using a "pop filter" on the microphone. The sub-base thumps are very distracting. Post-recording tools can also help remove distracting noises. I have difficulty with "S" sounds and filter those so they don't hiss on my recordings.
