Terrific interview Sal, I really enjoyed listening to this! Scott is so insightful about the inner workings of the industry, and his sincerity really shines through here.
Scott is always so enthusiastic about his work which is so great to see. I also love how he always takes time to praise Sal and ComicPop for what they do for comics.
Fellow Long Islander here! Fourth World is my LCS of choice and I can’t say enough great things about the staff! Met Scott several times both at signings and bumping into him in the parking lot! He is the most kind and genuine guy; his signings always go over time since he’ll spend a good 10-20 minutes just chatting with you. One time he bought the little girl ahead of me a YA title, I think Wonder Woman, since it was her first time reading comics and he wanted her to love them as much as he does ❤
This was such a nice interview, I love listening to Scott talk. He’s just so thoughtful and sincere and you can tangibly feel his excitement and love for these stories. Dc comics is in such a great place right now
I’ve become much more involved with comics over the past couple years, and you guys are RIGHT. I really do WANT an excuse to go to my LCS every week. Comics are community.
Used to go to one particular shop and after buying that week's books would sit around and talk with others about comics, movies, etc. The shop had a round table with a few chairs. Unfortunately, like other businesses, the owner was not prepared for the pandemic and it closed. Naturally, I still miss it and the people.
@ Thankfully my local shop survived the pandemic, and we’ve recently started a bi-weekly discussion group on different graphic novels! I hope you find another local comic community! :)
I always love creator interviews so much. The ones with Scott, Josh, Tom or Chip are always my favourite. I feel like I’ve been able to take in so much more from Scott’s stories and writing from all the interviews I’ve seen with you and him over the last 5 years back on Absolute Comics and here.
Absolute Batman feels like a similar approach to Frank Miller Batman but actually competent. Like obviously they are distinct, not saying they're the same thing. But the similar feel is there, but with the distinction that one feels like it's actually thought out and not bluntly tossed out even if neither are super subtle.
I haven’t watched this yet but I’m expecting two things from Scott, pure passion about his great new take on Batman and pure spoilers. PS, I thought issue 1 was wonderful but it’s issue 2 which really caught me. Not a page wasted and not a character un-interesting
Sal your awesome dude for real watch you made me read the absolute line cause I never found a good spot I felt comfortable to start at. Then these interviews with the creators helped me actually buy my first issues.
I usually dont buy comics, but im really interested in this batman, superman and wonderwoman. Thinking of picking up the first volume of batman when its out

Props to scott for making an interview with the terminator writer sal❤

I've never been a big Batman reader but hearing the thought process behind the writing is incredibly interesting.
Never expected to see you here.
Is Scott ever not this excited? Always a treat to see him bring that positive energy to the show.

Scott Snyder seems like such sn awesome creative guy. Love to hear his excitement for his own work as well as everyone elses. Great interview
There is something pleasing about seeing badass Scott Snyder’s stove also perpetually have a pan on it like mine lmao
Ugh omg “You Wont Feel a Thing” sounds amazing jfc
Great interview! I really love these interviews.
I love absolute Batman
It has this really bombastic franetic energy
Really reminds me of Fujimoto's Chainsawman if anyone has read it
I’m absolutely loving the Absolute initiative. Corny pun intended
Fantastic interview. This energy is what we need more of from creators and fans.

The poker scene was my favorite of issue 2. And now knowing the theme of the bat plaque. This series is a deeper study of the Bat than I thought 20:21
I always love these episodes. You two are such a great duo. It’s always amazing to hear Scott come on and talk shop
This was so great I love Scott and sal chatting and also a killer with a mask made of teeth may be the most horrific image
These interviews are awesome!! You guys are the best!!
Crazy that dc aren’t giving their writers health insurance. This gotta be an issue of absolute Batman lol
