    ============
Subsequent investigation determined that Leach was last seen in the early morning hours of April 16, 1988, at a high school pre-graduation party given by a classmate in rural Leavenworth County, Kansas.
Leach had driven to the party in his mother's gray 1985 Dodge 600 4-door sedan.
During the course of the investigation, no one was located who saw Leach or his vehicle leave the party.
To date, neither Leach nor his vehicle has been located.
The investigation to date has produced sufficient information to believe that Leach has been the victim of foul play in this missing person case.
In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we travel to Linwood, Kansas from Oregon in search of Randy Leach who has been missing for 32-years.
    Missing Since: 04/15/1988
    Missing From: Linwood, Kansas
    Classification Non-Family Abduction
    Sex: Male
    Race: White
    Date of Birth: 07/25/1970 (50)
    Age: 17 years old
Height and Weight: 6'3, 220 pounds
Clothing/Jewelry Description: A blue pocket t-shirt, blue Levi's jeans, white low-cut sneakers and white socks.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Randy has a mole on his left ear.
The deeper we got into this investigation, the stranger it became.
Was Randy part of a sacrifice?
Was he taken out for witnessing a drug shipment gone wrong?
Did he end up in the trunk of his mother's car and driven across state lines to be disposed of in a car shredder?
Is there a police cover-up in this small rural community?
While we feel there are people who know what happened to Randy, there also is a reason they have not come forward.
Even though Harold and Alberta would like to find out who is responsible for Randy's disappearance, the only thing they want more is to find Randy.
Larry and Betty have set up a FB Page in Search of Randy Leach.

My paternal grandmother (my best friend) lost her son at the age of four. My dad was born in 1935, so it happened prior to that. He ran across the street because my grandad was over there.
After my dad passed away, I was going through some of his things. Among the paperwork, photos and newspaper clippings, was the funeral home bill...for $50.00.
My grandmother never got over the loss. I’ve almost lost my daughter twice. I can’t imagine...

10 years ago my dad committed suicide. The first responders told me "if you wouldnt have stopped at mcdonalds on your way home he would of lived" I was 17. I stopped because he told me on the phone he hadn't eaten. I bought him nuggets. Thinking he would be glad to have them. This may seem incredibly off topic. However just wanted some back story to say it moved me watching you hold that mothers hand so tightly as she painfully told you her story. It may seem so small but that support means the world. You're incredible at your job, and an incredible man. Thank you for doing the best you can to make a difference in these peoples hardest times. Hopefully other first responders are seeing your videos and will follow your lead. So future teenage mes have someone yo hold their hand in their hardest times.

Their channel was like 20,000 subscribers just a year ago. The original channel wasn't focused on solving missing persons cases, but pulling cars out of rivers for the environment and just scuba diving and cleaning up trash. That all changed when they stumbled upon a car that had a missing person in it. Then families with missing people started contacting them, asking for help. From there, Adventures with Purpose found a new purpose; solving missing persons cases! Especially ones where a car and/or person might be in the water. Jared bought an RV, a trailer, and hit the road with Sam. Solved 3 or 4 since then! And their channel is AWESOME! They need a TV show!

You guys all do great work. I've been almost binge watching since I discovered your channel. The big thing that was never mentioned here was the 1993 floods. The entire Missouri River drainage, including the entire Kansas River Basin was inundated. A vehicle going into the smallest creek in northeast Kansas could easily have been swept all the way into the Missouri and eventually the Mississippi River, not to mention a body that did not stay in a vehicle. A huge portion of the land scape was changed by the flood waters. It's unfortunate that Mr Leach passed away without knowing the fate of his son.

It’s remarkable how invested the family friends are in resolving the mystery of Randy going missing. Something doesn’t sit well with me about the family where the party was in the night Randy went missing. One of the common things a criminal does to remove suspicion from themselves is to cast focus else where. Why was the family at the party location saying those things about Randy’s family, they didn’t know them, they were new to the area. Why would you say things like that about a family of a missing person, why bad mouth the family ? How big was the footprint at the sign in the mud ?

My uncle died of suspicious circumstances and he was telling my grandfather that someone was following him and trying to get him and his daughter my cousin is a police officer and when my uncle died they told my cousin to leave it alone and stop trying to investigate it. And my uncle was found dead in his kitchen there was a trail of blood from his bedroom shower to the kitchen table and he was found dead Naked laying in the middle of the broken kitchen table on the floor with blood everywhere like he was reaching out for the phone and when the police came to the house they hurried up and had his body taken away as fast as they could and then they put undetermined on his death certificate 😏

And back in the 80s and early 90s the satanic churches were very popular with the teenagers especially the ones that were partying. And I think after they would sacrifice people they would burn their bodies it’s just too suspicious if it was an accident his car would’ve been found in the bushes somewhere in the woods somewhere in the water somewhere unless he had a bad ass car and he was carjacked and murdered

I've been watching your channel since you guys were cleaning up lakes and creeks and hunting for "treasure". I remember watching a video of you reuniting a lost item with its owner and was impressed by how you seemed happier returning the item than you did while finding it. Since then I've watched your channel evolve into something you never intended. Your unique skillset and compassion for others has transformed your channel into a long overdue and much needed service for families with lost loved ones. I know you never planned on this becoming your career and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to deal with so much emotional pain. You recently posted a video about how you needed to take a break and you actually apologized to us. Jared, two years ago you were simply a TH-camr who filmed dives for fun. You never planned to spend all your time traveling around the country, searching the depths for missing people while their loved ones watched nearby. I can't imagine the intense pressure you must be under, the frustration you experience dealing with local authorities, the nightmares you must have after the terrible sights you've been privy to and the loneliness you must experience spending so much time away from your family... and you do all of this for free. Take all the time you need. I miss seeing you happy and excited about reuniting people with their lost treasures. It's been a long time since your reunions ended in something other than tears. I'd love to see you post some light hearted, "treasure hunting" dives every now and then. My mom was a homicide detective and she forgot how to be happy after a few years. I don't want to see that to happen to you. I don't want that to happen to any of you. Take care and remember how much you are loved.

Its also possible there wasn't enough dna left in the bones to do any testing. Often times that is the case and they dont want to give false hope to the families by asking for dna before they have something to compare it to. However, with these dear folks getting on in age, if the case is considered cold, the parents may want to reach out to a detective and offer to add their dna to the case files incase somthing comes to light after they are gone....

    • @caseyjude5472
      @caseyjude5472 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Yeah, running dna costs money. Police departments ain’t spending money on that. Remember there are hundreds of thousands of untested rape kits in every department across the country. When people started getting wind of this, instead of tackling the problem, finding a solution & implementing it, they ran a disinformation campaign that claimed rape kits are abortions, god doesn’t want you to get a rape kit done if you’ve been raped, it’s stupid to get a kit done, it’s selfish to ask for one, selfish & stupid to insist it be tested, waste of time to enter the dna of rapists to a database, etc...
Yup, there are people, some may even be reading this right now, who actually believe that rape kits magically cause AbOrTiOn. Somehow, perhaps by magic, swabbing under fingernails, collecting clothing, swabbing around a vagina & cervix causes abortion or makes god angry or is somehow super evil, bad, selfish, etc...
It does not, it is not, it never ever will be.
It wasn’t until super wealthy folks, political donors & those who aim to keep US living in fear by poor & insufficient policing realized just how much money it would cost to test the kits & the even higher expense of going after rapists. That’s when the disinformation campaign began. They don’t want to pay for it, there’s profit when Americans live in fear. For US to live in fear, rapists need to be free to assault, repeatedly.
Unless it’s an election year, there’s no profit in going after & catching rapists. Rapists don’t usually own enough houses, cars, ATVs, boats, guns or other goods to auction off (to their friends & families).
There’s money here, corruption & money. There almost always is.
