Hey Todd, love the video. What a great upgrade for these rigs. Another commenter asked if you could post a link to that website. I think I found that site and they don't sell a pulley that has a 5/8" bore and a 1.5" OD. Is there anyway you can post a link? When I google those dimensions I only find a 1.75" OD pulley, no 1.5" with a 5/8" bore.
great job on the conversion...but a couple of tips for you. The blades in your mixer are backwards, the bigger ends need to be in the bottom and will work better. plus, the wheels are supposed to be under the motor end of the mixer, easier to move that way.
My motor on this unit went south, this would be a great option; however, I have a concern. How did you broach the keyway to the pulley? You own a broaching set or improvised by hand with a file or something like it? I’ve seen videos where they broach slots and use some expensive equipment, presses and broaching cutting sets. Thank you for sharing, very, very cleaver, if you’d be kind enough to give us/me your method, I’d appreciate it very much.
Can you post a link to the pulley please? I am seriously thinking doing this, I own a 1/2 acre and I'm going to be doing a LOT of work around the yard that I will need one of these instead of renting.
En México se comercializan 2 modelos de 1/2 saco con motor a gasolina de 2.5hp y soportan mucho mas que los de luz, incluso yo tengo una para mi casa y para mi es mejor q la de luz xq n tengo el impedimento de andar con una extensión.
Tim the Toolman would be questioning the small size of that engine, but it was a noble effort.

Never mind, I noticed you mentioned it in the beginning. Thanks

Hello, did you get the pulley from HF?
Thanks for the video Now when a free lawnmower comes up on Craigslist I'll be good to go.
Brilliant! Thanks
