I bought a used one today and we tried it was working fine , but when I get home and tried to use it motor was making noise but not turning . It turns fine with hands . Any tips ? I am trying to return it to the seller but he said it can be fixed

When I initially had this issue, the drum would not turn on initial start. I would hand turn the drum to give the motor some momentum. When I poured the dry concrete mix in the drum, the drum/motor would stall; not enough torque generated to continue turning the drum.
I would first check the belt and make sure it’s properly rigged up to turn the drum.
Second, I would check the capacitor to see if it is discolored, cable loose, or it popped. Likely not enough torque is being delivered.
If not, then it could be an internal issue inside the motor.

@@jdrappin So I returned is to the seller who end up changing the switch because it wasn’t even turning on at all . Than I took it back home and it didn’t wanna work again , so I opened and saw it was the belt . I reposition it where it suppose to be , I was finally able to use it and mixed 6 bags of concrete , than it fu****k up again this time looks like a bolt come off that’s holding the little turning metal piece . And I couldn’t find it so I stopped my project again . This is a piece of shit product .

I had this problem after a couple of uses. There is a pin that wiggled out where the drum turn gear meets the motor. I folded the tab from an aluminum can and put it in the slot where the OEM use to be
