This was exactly the reaction this song deserves.
Actually, I said "song", but I think I meant "masterpiece".
Everyone is completely on point : Guitars, symphonic track, bass, Will's vocals. And Austin. Hell, yeah! He's superhuman.
Also, that first breakdown is just such an incredibly brutal change of pace. And I don't know if you noticed, but Will did not appear to take a breath in the few lines leading up to it. I know they can achieve that in the studio by overlapping tracks, but I reckon Will could probably do it live too.
I was lucky enough to see Sepultura live many years ago (perhaps '05 or '06), and their performance was just out of this world. Lorna Shore are giving me that same feeling, but through a freakin' music video. And to a greater extent.

On r/Deathcore I saw alot of people complaining that it's the same structure as the 3 EP songs. Not only would I gladly listen to 10 other songs in the same style, but this is literally everything they have learned with To The Hellfire, Of The Abyss, And I Return To Nothingness put together and taken a level further.

Totally agree. Everyone is a critic, and some metal heads always complain about stuff like that. I don't care what a band does; if I like the song it it makes me happy, it's good in my book. Look at mainstream pop, country, hip-hop, and rock. Literally the same structure every single song. Haha
Unoriginal, they need to mix it up. Give us a song without a breakdowns, they destroy the flow of all the songs

Very cool your heart rate went from like 120 when the video started to the mid 100's when the brutality started and went as low as the 90s. Then the breakdown gets you emotional and it goes above 120. It's so contradictory, but intense brutal music calms me down too.
Metal heads get it. Haha. Everyone else thinks heart rate going down means "HE'S NOT INTO IT BUT HE'S ACTING LIKE HE IS". Hahahaha
As backwards as it sounds, metal produces many of the same reactions in the brain that classical music does and relaxes people. I used to sleep to death & Blackcore metal enough that the bass would skip cds and replay the same parts. Family would ask how I could sleep through it, but it was symphonic enough that it’s relaxing.
I've listened to Demanufacture, Obsolete, or Mechanize from Fear Factory in bed and fell asleep. I do that with metal all the time 😂
I can fall asleep listening to this music. Play me some George Strait though, and I'm ready to murder the world 😂🤷♂️

I recently saw Lorna Shore in Boston for the Chaos And Carnage Tour and I will tell ya, those guys slayed it! Will Ramos hit all those nasty lows. They played Sun // Eater flawlessly.
Even Adam on the solo was ok?
I was in hospital, post surgery, when I stumbled across "To the Hellfire" last summer. I immediately knew this was my song of the year and nothing could even come close (note: my background is in Prog and Melodic Death).
I have the exact same feeling right now which I had last year. I need to buy this song right now!

Finally some one who agrees with me on the sound of Austin's snare sound! It's so mean, like it's piercing your soul when the rest of the sound is cut out in the breakdown. It has such a satisfying, almost cathartic quality to it \m/

Right after the solo when you talk about a sound you haven't heard from Will's voice before. If you watch the video The Charismatic Voice did where they put a camera down his throat, at around the 39:30 mark he does a technique that he says he has never tried before and it sounds a lot like that section in this song. Just crazy how many sounds the dude can make.

I loved the heart rate monitor. Just kinda nailed down the point I make to non-metalheads when they ask if my music makes me anxious. Fuck no! This shit keeps me calm, and every time Tank was just absorbing the beauty of this track, his bpm dropped. Great reaction, keep it up!
Great video, buddy! I swear Lorna Shore just don't miss. I love the song, the video is badass. But the moment that just gives me that disgusted stank face every time? Is the way he snarls out that "Icarus. I'll touch the sun." at 14:21. Just.. absolutely filthy. Combined with the way they dropped out the music in the beginning with Will's vocals just front and center? This is 110% pre-order.

Dude, fuck, yes. I remember just being totally enamored by this song and video the first time I saw it. They somehow got faster, more technical and more epic with this.
And I can’t wait to see how the album shapes up. This is one of the few bands that, given their talent, I want them to take risks a little bit. As much as I’d like a full length version of AIRTN, I feel like it wouldn’t utilize their skills as much. We know Will can sing, we know these musicians can do various speeds and song structures, if their album cover is any indication, I think they’re gonna hit us with something different, and I’m fucking here for it dude, let’s GOOOOOOOOO

I am a man that doesn't really have much time. Have a bunch of little children, a bunch of big animals that I take care of 24/7. I run around with my headphones doing my work listening to heavy stuff. And then I found my self staying up at night for half an hour longer watching people that I don't know reacting to music that I already like. And I asked myself if it's worth to spend my precious time with that and thought hmmm.... Maybe not, but it feels so good to at least see strangers going nuts to the same music because you can't show the music you love to the people you love😬 but I decided to maybe use my time to just listen to the music instead of listen to other people listening to the same stuff, cause that's kind of weird. But your channel mate, that's the essence of it. Sharing joy and the same time your knowledge the way you do, that's awesome. I am near 50, played in a band, was to hundreds of gigs, still scratching the strings sometimes, but watching your videos, I learn something every time, so YES it's worth to stay a little bit up longer at night🤘 Cheers! During that breakdown when Will does that sudden high snap at the end of the sentence still stands out to me. I don’t listen to many super hard bands but I do listen to Lorna Shore now and musically is all stunning as well as vocally. Always enjoy your videos and have seen some multiple times 😂
This has been out for weeks, but I absolutely love this band and this song. I saw them at the Minneapolis show recently and the way Will effortlessly switches his pitch on “we relinquish pasts” at 7:30 is FUCKING INCREDIBLE. I can’t wait for the album, and as usual, I love your videos Tank! 🤘🏾🤘🏾

I am so beyond hyped for the upcoming album! Definitely treating myself for my 31st Bday when it drops in October, and getting a vinyl! No idea what it is about Lorna Shore but every song hits different. Every time they bring the chorus back after a breakdown, it just hits on an emotional level! Get chills and eyes water up everytime! Much like how you did on your first reaction to And I Return to Nothingness. These guys truly are in a league of their own. Cannot wait to find a local concert! Need to see them live.

I started watching your show from Jinjer reviews, as a Lamb of God fan for life, I found Jinjer to give me the same happy groovy head bopping vibe as LOG. I could not get that heavy 5-10 years ago, and my wife still doesn't understand how I can listen to this lol, I told her this music is kind of like horsepower, after you get used to it, you want more power etc etc - Keep up the great work Tank!
