@kaimole91 Alright thats what I figured about the triggering aspect. I suppose I can understand the feel aspect as well. Thanks for your input though. Helps me understand the perspective of different drummers.
@DoubleBassDestroyer more like: insane fill intro, sick fast verse, euro / bomb blast/ hammer blasts, sick fill, technical breakdown, and sick fast outro precisely on time. doubt you can do that
@frogbeergolfgolf I personally like the feel of something in my bass drum against the head, just personal preference. It does help with false triggering aswell
@haha10024 and it doesn't really matter just shows that he doesn't care about his technique much. Plenty of drummers use triggers and still have a bigger distance. He would barely have to put any force into playing.
awesome video !! this guy is awesome, but i hope he can do the gravity blast in There is no business !! last time i've seen ASP live which was couple months ago he couldn't do it, he had to use both hands to do a drum roll instead of gravity blast, so he couldn't hit the cymbals at the same time. but hey, it was when he just joined the band, i guess it's hard to learn all that new material in a real short period of time, and with this video, im pretty sure he have the skills to do it !
@haha10024 I didn't say anything about triggers? I said he beaters are extremely close. You can have triggers with a greater better distance, and I said he is pretty damn good.
anyone notice his left hand is very weak at the end of his blasts. dont get me wrong he's an amazin drummer. i was just a bit suprised cause his filles are so tight.....????
I kind of agree, but the whole album was that kind of music that doesn't rteally work with groovy drums. it was cold and technical, really blast-beatey music.
Why do so many drummers stuff as much shit in their bass drums as possible these days? I mean does it help stop the momentum of the head so the trigger doesn't go ape shit or what? Thats the only reason I can think of. I never put anything in my bass drum and it sounds great.
Best Deathcore Band Ever period
Adam your the best!!
Awesome!
awesome handcontrol and speed
So precise and powerful
Minus the breakdowns...pretty awesome.
OMG IM FREAKING OUT OVER THIS
What A BEAST.
Probably, possibly there best album to date.
dudes awesome...I'm impressed
what a beast!
Adam pierce and shannon lucas easily the two best drummers ever! D: makes me just want to quit drumming... FOREVER!
@kaimole91

:O! NEW SONG!!!
sick ass drum fill at the beginning, that was amazing
oh man... that snare.
Definitely worthy of being in ASP!
@pastilance1
Pre set click tracks, or listens to the song to keep the timing dead on. Pretty common.
is there a channel like this but for guitar players?
@DoubleBassDestroyer more like: insane fill intro, sick fast verse, euro / bomb blast/ hammer blasts, sick fill, technical breakdown, and sick fast outro precisely on time. doubt you can do that
Whatever happened to ASP? or Adam Pierce? Can't find him anywhere.
@Virvum001 why dont you like them?
hey whats with the iPod hook up?
You guys need to do videos on Jon RICE!!!! From JOB, PLEASE!!!! :)
i like a nice loud snare.
@ThePandaonslaught I kind of dig his snare tone, it's got a nice pop. You can really catch all of the hits he puts into it.
@NihilithMusic i was wondering the same thing
@frogbeergolfgolf I personally like the feel of something in my bass drum against the head, just personal preference. It does help with false triggering aswell
@pastilance1 Probobly for a metronome. My drummer does it too off his ipod
What snare is that?
@haha10024 and it doesn't really matter just shows that he doesn't care about his technique much. Plenty of drummers use triggers and still have a bigger distance. He would barely have to put any force into playing.
@pastilance1 talked with samus and he uses his Ipod which plays the guitar tracks and a click. I'm sure Adam is the same deal
What drum company is he endorsed by?
I agree but have you listened to his stuff on the last SOT album? I enjoyed that more than This Is Where It End to be honest.
0:12 Whaat he use his iPod?

What pedals does Adam use?
Deep inside, he's not a human
This guy is definitely one of my favourite drummers in the Deathcore scene.
they're sick!!! but lets not forget Nick Pierce, Alex Grind, and Kevin Talley....
anyone notice his left hand is very weak at the end of his blasts. dont get me wrong he's an amazin drummer. i was just a bit suprised cause his filles are so tight.....????
This!! Search Ancient Covenant Drum Cam, you won't be disappointed.
@froquini the ipod is his metronom
@freakoutguitarsolo1 its deathcore. one of the GOOD deathcore bands to be precise
i was like please not the fucking rollback madness ad...and fml
@PanterA7454 yeah i guess (in ways) but like i haven't heard a band that sounds like all shall perish
(in deathcore)
@BurnThePope0514 What does it matter if he's triggering? He can obviously play everything really well.
Have the new album sittin in front of me. This album cover is sick as fuck!! I love the lyrics to this album! \m/!!
He probably nailed it
@krachbummente89 Don't think so.
I kind of agree, but the whole album was that kind of music that doesn't rteally work with groovy drums. it was cold and technical, really blast-beatey music.
@kevo930 No " Bigger " as in the pit...BIGGER!!!
@zmanbrody yah its their click track my drummer uses them too of our shit
LOL @ the top comments and sickdrummer's responses.
yeah i really dont know why i thought it sounded shitty 8 months ago when i posted this comment. i think it sounds pretty nice now.
@10perrodelmal ...no Bigger as in a bigger circle pit
Hell Yeah ,.
He was drunk mayhem energi rockstar drink ,..
\m/(-_-)\m/
I believe he uses Axis Longboards
@krachbummente89 that would be too sick lol
nice intro up to 30 seconds
@rb288015 ...Bigger ;) as in a bigger pit!

dunnnnnnno mannnnnn he rubs his snare
@amusingisthedawn to dampen the sound like with moon gels
@sickdrummerdotcom
oh yea makes sense i was gona say lol...
I love his drum sound for some reason, its very dead, in a good way
@krachbummente89 nick pierce is awesome
lmao
Not quite as technical as Matt, but very good indeed.
@NihilithMusic Nope straight up click track, just a metronome.
That is most likely his metronome
I'm kinda disappointed with how close his beaters are to bass drum head, other then that he is pretty damn good.
so skinny and strong
@DoubleBassDestroyer prove it
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF CHINA THAT IS
Then apparently you've never heard of Lyle Cooper.
its just you. lol
I don`t like the music, but the drumming is pretty good.
insane drumming, but i don´t like those boring breakdowns
hey, let's all find an excuse to use racial slurs and make the top 3 comments pretty much the exact thing! WOOHOOO!!!!!!
hes a good drummer, i just think his kit sounds terrible :/
its not metalcore man.
Not to accuse him of being a good drummer but matt was garbage too
i've always loved Adam Pierce, the guy's a beast... shame he kind looks constipated in blasts lol
