- In this video Christopher (The Guitar Rabbi) reviews the Zoom G3 for beginner guitarists, and those who are not up on technology and who are used to analogue pedals. In this review Christopher goes over the pros and cons of the Zoom G3 to allow a person to make the decision of the Zoom G3 is best for them. Christopher also shows how he was able to dial in the Def Leppard Hysteria clean tone into the Zoom G3 rather easily.

I got into electric guitar just about the time the G3 came out and I retired from radio! It's great fun and helps me figure out what pedals I might want. Nice vid. 👍

Bought my G3 in 2012 and i did not use it for years but i dusted it off and i really like it,..Soon i go for the G6,...Thanks man for shareing Love Cheers............(Windows software still works!, am running 64 bit win 10)
I finally upgraded to the G11 and that one is absolutely incredible but I am glad you are liking your G3
I love mine. I rarely change patches and just keep the same few pedals (whammy, vox wah, warp phaser, chorus and tape echo) which i can kick on whenever I want em. Besides this I mainly use a high gain and low gain dist pedal and delay from my amp. Extremely versitile setup for the money. Also doesn't sound too digital this way.
I also LOVE that it has a tuner, drum machine and looper.
I got my Dad one of these 10 years ago, and wrote him a load of vintage style multitap tape echo patches for it. He had an AC30 and a Echorec in the 60s. These patches are as close as you'll get.
I own a Helix. It isn't a thousand quid better than the G3 and it doesn't do the echo patches any better.
The G3 is a bit noisier and it's a bit lower resolution, but who gives f***?
A 60 year old Marshall, Fender or Vox amp is a helluva lot noisier than a new one.
works on ubuntu 20.04 and below. not on newer versions. I still use it along with VSTs
I love this pedal... Sounds great, Meatl is awesome, i also use it to record on my laptop...
Glad you like it. I personally much prefer my Zoom G11 for the reasons of ease of use and the ability to use the Guitar Labs on my MacBook. But it is good you gave another side of the coin here because it is important I think to be unbiased and show views that maybe differ from mine a little
@@theguitarrabbi7173 i have much more expensive multi pedals, but i like this one cause its easy to use, sounds great, is cheap, as loop and some not so bad drum patterns ... Nice to use it on a road trip .... Good vids bro
@@aztro187 awesome I brought my G3 on my vacation with my fiancé to Sarasota a year ago so I totally get that. My G11 would have been a different story because there is no way that thing fits in my bag

Oh awesome. I ended up giving this one to one of my ordination student's son. The kid is a beast on the guitar and he saw this video and wanted one so since I am planning on getting the Zoom G11 soon I decided, I'll just send it to him. Thank you for subbing brother.
