Thank you brother. Based on your video, I purchased a G3 and I love it. It's a fabulous Swiss Army knife, that sounds great!

Another ol' dude here!I got the g3 when after forty years playing acoustic I went electric, that was about ten years back. I love it! Nice review 👍

Thanks for that, it's 2021 and we have stuffs like Mooer Radar, Mooer Ge200 which have a great IR's(cabinets simulation) and G3x its still sounds good. I'm going to buy it one.

I've had the G3 since 2013. Multiple amps and guitars since then but this thing has stayed by my side. My go-to reverb and delay box. Also - your point about it acting as a backup amp is incredibly on point.

You can scroll over the effects chain with your feet! Press the 1 & 2 footswitches together to go left, the 2 & 3 together to go right.

I love mine!! Got it in 2014 or so, and the ZOOM MS50g is actually even better but no looper and no drum tracks

I now have a boss katana 50 to jam at small gigs and to record at home.
I also have a zoom multi-effects, but the cheaper ones, but it sounds great.

More up-to-date pedals may offer more features and sound 'better' but years of competitive marketing eventually results in feature bloat. There comes a point when the all this additional complexity results in option overload and decision fatigue that can ultimately smother the creative process. Sometimes less is more and I feel the G3 and Multistomps achieve a great balance between cost, effectiveness and complexity.

Great video, thanks. How do you find the overdrive and distortion sounds on the G3 compared with the Katana? Or compared with Analog? Can you hear the digital elements of distortion/overdrive like some people claim? PS. I have the G3

    Hi great video
Might sound like a daft question I've been using Zoom pedal for years namely a G7 for live work and recently acquired a Zoom G3x
I'm not sure if I would need to use the amp simulators in the pedal when I plug it into the front of my amp or just use it for effects
    cheers Dave

Fantastic review. I just got one! Btw..u may know that already but zoom gx3 apparently also can slide to other 3 pedals easily by foot. U need to press 2 pedals buttons at the same time.

This pedal also has a high quality audio card, I'm amazed with how good the recording sounds on a daw

Hello. I have the G3X zoom pedal and I want to put it through the amplifier's effects loop. It's the first time I do it. The problem is that i don't really understand how the cables should be connected. I have also noticed that the pedal has two outputs R and L/Mono. Which one should I choose?? By the way, I heard that I have to turn off the amp emulations. Do i have to disconnect something else. ?? Greetings

Amps and drives sound way better in the G3n. But the physical design of the G3 is much better and pedalboard friendly in my opinion.
Those flat switches on the g3n are terrible if you want to use it inside a case style pedalboard. And with 6 switches available, it takes years to get to the tap tempo function. And you can't program it any different.
With the G3 at least you can set an external tap tempo.

Hi! Can you use the USB port as an aux input for jam along with some songs from PC or mp3 player?

What is the smarter buy, a used G3 or a new G1 Four?
