    Where did you run the new vacuum line from the intake to the brake booster?

    Where do you get the Vacumn for the Brake Booster

    Where would be the best place to steal the vacuum from I've read stuff about the PCV valve but then I would have to reroute that somewhere else

    To add to this information, the pump outputs the brake booster air into the block through the oil return. The crankcase breather vacuum is also pulling through the pump at idle. The pump is literally an inline crankcase vacuum "helper".

    In a pinch, its a holiday and stires are closed, did the delete, but wont be able to get delete screws for a few days. Can i just cut belt and leave like that for a few days?

    so what do you do after you take the pump out.?

    You can delete with an electronic DOD delete or it has to be a mechanical DOD delete to ditch the vacuum boost pump?

    I recently did a dod deleto on my 2016 Yukon 6.2 and I did the vacume pump delete. I used the gm plugs also. Now my brakes dont work properly. Is this due to the pump not supplying vacuum or could if be another brake system issues? Do I need to run it to provide vacume?

    Can a vacuum reservoir not replace this?

    So would you delete this on a 2015 Silverado5.3 or only delete this on the project you're motor swapping? I would guess you would need to tune out the DOD before removing the pump?

      You could, some will either use an electric pump, or tap the intake. If you're running a turbo or procharger, you'll want an inline check valve so you're not pressurizing your brake booster.

    My 2015 yukon definitely need this vac pump as mine is failing and I can’t hardly stop. If I was to delete this, it would be very unsafe.

    • @jerry.rodriguez

      You should be able to get it replaced for free as long as you haven't exceeded the mileage

    So where do you get a vacuum booster you never explained that so did you just take it off and then that's it no vacuum no nothing and ready to go🤔🤔🤔

    So I have a 2014 Silverado l83 full dod deleted already and I am looking into deleting this I understand the block off plugs for oil passages but what do I do with the vacuum line to I just block it off? Is it necessary to have the vacuum like if the truck is deleted? And do I need to add anything else so my brakes don’t loose vacuum or does it get enough from the engine itself?

      @David Rogers Could I just put a T in the pcv line and run the hose over to the brake booster?

    What do you do to replace brake booster vacuum?

    • @Sdpartscenter
      @Sdpartscenter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As mentioned in the video, you can tee it into a clean air source of vacuum on the intake or add an electric booster.

  • @chevychris3819

    I want to delete it on my 2016 silverado do I have to do a pcv Catch can. Is that the only way to make that work?

      @David Rogers Yeah I did a bit more research and that's actually what I ended up doing thanks though

    If I remove the vacuum pump on a 2014gmc with the 4.3l lv3, where do I land the line coming off the vacuum boostet for the brakes.

      There are a few ways to do this:
      Tap intake manifold
      Tee into pcv line off valve cover
      Add electric vacuum pump

    • @shadowopsairman1583
      @shadowopsairman1583 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a certain electronic assist by the brake vacuum boost. For the 2000-2007 classic GMT800 LU3 V6. I presume the same for the 2007-2013 GMT900 LU3.

  • @In.Spirit
    @In.Spirit 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ok, so just pop a plug in the brake booster hole too??? Pulling the pump off and plugging the two holes in the block doesn't complete the vacuum pump "delete" process in my '17 L86 silverado.

    So if I delete this & install an oil catch can, can I tee the booster hose into the clean side hose of the oil catch can? Some people are saying get a throttle body spacer & add a fitting but I don’t see why I couldn’t just tie into the oil catch can line on the clean side…TIA for advice

    • @Sdpartscenter
      @Sdpartscenter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is a sealed catch can system, the clean side (the hose that goes from the can to vacuum) could be used. But we would still recommend using a dedicated source off the intake manifold, as there is potential for oil to track up the booster hose over time. catch cans are not 100%.

    Would there be any power advantage for this to be re-routed for making a crankcase vacuum? Thanks

    How does the brake booster get vacuum?

    • @Sdpartscenter
      @Sdpartscenter  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Without this? The Corvette and others use an electric vacuum pump.
      If you're doing a swap, you can source an electric vacuum pump, or tap the intake with a barb fitting. If you're running a procharger or turbo, you can run an in-line check valve to prevent you from pressurizing the brake booster.
