Boogies Trains at: Rusilip - 2 April, 2024

TfL has five stations with Ruislip in the name. In this video I visit the three that are on the Central Line starting at South Ruislip. This section of the Central line runs parallel with the Chiltern route from Marylebone to Birmingham and Oxford so there is also some action on these.

It seems to be a favourite to hate the Central Line, but it's one of my favourites. I like the sound the 1992 stock makes, and they have nice spacious interiors

Nice little film Mr Boogie. Great to see the old gc/gw joint. I managed to travel out of Paddington on it a couple of times before it was severed. The price of progress I guess. Well done 🤓

I did the Chiltern to West Ruislip just the once. Sad end for what should still be a fast route to the West Midlands. Chiltern have done well but the Marylebone to Ruislip line is a real drag.

The Central Line itself needs new tube trains at some point in the future. I don’t think I have been to Ruislip before.

The lines you filmed at around 10:40 are to the left (as viewed) of the HS2 line of way emerging from the tunnels. They are sidings for the delivery of tunnel castings that come by train from Grain I believe.
