Boogies Trains at: London Euston - 2 February, 2024

My weekend jaunt to the north west started from Euston where I had an hour to kill before catching a train to Birmingham. As usual, my aim is just to record the every day ordinary for posterity as it soon changes. Within the next couple of years we can expect to see new Hitachi units on some Avanti services and Aventra units on LNW/WMT routes. The Voyagers will be retired by Avanti but there might be open access operators and who knows what stock they will have. There may even be a viable plan for how Euston and HS2 will work together. I'll be keeping an eye on developments and making return visits as and when there is something to report on.

Had a few good years back in the 1970's working at Euston. Know two days were alike and I can testify that when it goes wrong it, it goes wrong very quickly. 🤓 Nice video Mr Boogie, whilst the trains are relatively modern it brings back some very happy memories. 🤓

The London Northwestern Railway Class 730/2 should be in service sometime later this year. Have you seen the new Avanti West Coast Class 805 that is now in service.
