Thank you SO much for putting the mental health aspect at the center of this story like so few have avoided doing.
When someone hurts themselves because of mental illness, we call it a reason or a causative factor. For some reason, when someone hurts someone else because of mental illness, we call it an "excuse".
His mental illness does not make it okay what happened and idk why we even have to clarify that when examining the causative factors leading up to a crime. But if mental illness isn't a free pass to hurt people, wtf are the troll's excuses?
The fact of the matter is, when mentally ill people who are unable to comprehend reality and have VERY PUBLICLY shown such concerning and destructive behaviours for years are left to live and attempt to rationalize their own delusional or coping habits as they wish without help or guidance from a qualified professional, I firmly believe the blame at the point should be put on the society that allowed it to devolve to this extent. If someone living in a privileged society with all they need to intervene, is visibly unable to comprehend the consequences of their actions, and society ignores those red flags, whose fault is it really in the end when that person convinces themselves that their destructive behaviour is misconstrued and otherwise perfectly okay?
Some people say chris knows what he did was wrong by my question is "did he know it was wrong, or did he simply know society 'thinks' its wrong and somehow Chris believes he knows better because he doesnt understand the difference between showing love platonically and intimately...?"
Again, it doesn't give him a free pass obv. If someone thinks they are doing a good thing but they are actually causing harm, they are still dangerous to other people in society. But how we approach their case may be vastly different. Like if someone unalives people because they think their neighbors dog is telling them to commit unalive on people because it will save the world, technically they are a really good person morally speaking... But they are still clearly extremely dangerous and all of those things need to be taken into account. The person would likely know they have to hide their actions but may genuinely believe society is simply wrong in misunderstanding the "philosophy" surrounding why they did it. When really, they are the one who is delusional.
I truly don't believe Chris thinks he was hurting his mother. Which is terrifying tbh. I think he genuinely just decided that his mother is the only one he has ever known that he feels truly loves him and somewhere along the way he got the sensation of intimate pleasure and familial love tangled. I don't think he even understands exactly how far gone she is, OR he is in denial of it because he knows he is going to be left entirely on his own in this world soon. Its supper tragic all around.

The sad thing about this whole story is that there are very few (if any) decent people in it. Chris Chan is 100% predatory towards women, only ever seeing them as sexual objects (Megan, an ex friend, being a good example). Chris’s parents never sought any kind of help for this behaviour, choosing to instead shelter Chris. And of course the trolls were nothing short of sadistic and cruel. This whole situation was never going to have a positive outcome, it just runs way too deep.
Agreed, it is very sad. It's really important to get people the help they need so they can make it in society. I have met someone like Chris Chan before, an autistic adult with elderly parents, and he was also very inappropriate towards women. I'm an SA survivor and I would literally hide when he came into my workplace so he couldn't follow me or say disgusting things/try to touch me like he did to others! Management didn't really do anything because they felt sorry for him. Parents really need to make sure their children understand boundaries for their own safety and everyone else's well being too!

Watching that old lady staring in to the camera with a confused look on her face (that look is very common for people with dementia, as they are often unsure of what is going on), and hearing her asking for things that she has clearly been coaxed in to saying, really broke me. There is so many things wrong with this story, Chris does not seem like a good person, and is clearly not well. His parents seem to have neglected in raising a person with such special needs. The authorities failed to catch this, and the situation in which an autistic person is caring for an old person with dementia. And the internet milked it all for entertainment. Its just horrible...
It is a shame. There are a lot of things that could have potentially been nipped in the bud early on if the right support was there. As someone with aspergers (high functioning autism), I'm thankful for the support offered in the UK in the form of supported accommodation and support workers to help those with special needs develop independence and be able to function in society... to some extent. I have doubts on some of the support workers' training credentials and understanding of special needs but that's besides the point; Chris needed someone to set him on the right path. Before he took a dark turn. Not everyone will accept help or want to change, but that's a given.
I don't know, it's just painful to see what has come of this individual's life. There's just so many things wrong about all of this. It's chilling.

No one could write this story. Chris has been driven essentially insane and become a criminal, and in a long, long line of villains ranging in malliciousness, the final boss is a someone who very well could be a sadistically evil psychopath.
The worse part is the phone call, chris going into details about everything and bella who's clearly getting a kick outa it, it generally is sickening

I first heard of Chris over a decade ago, it was just a matter of time before something tragic was gonna happen. People pushed him for sure, but in the end it was a choice made by a disturbed and disabled individual.

I feel like this was a long time coming. Barb had an extensive history of acting "intimate" with Chris in her lucid years, such as getting him to spoon her and sleeping with him in bed. His parents play a huge part in why Chris is the way Chris is. They never punished him, never taught him basic morals and manners, and never challenged him. They let him hide in his cave and get away with anything and everything and enabled him to be a predator and made it easy for him to be taken advantage of. Chris had so much potential.

When Barbra was diagnosed with dementia, I don’t see how anyone checking on her care could miss that she was with a mentally unstable child. If Chris was seeing a doctor at any time, you would think it would be clear to them this person has problems and needs to be treated for them... they have a following online surely people had called the cops to check on them a few times, and it seems in all these situations professionals chose to do nothing, until something irreversibly damaging happened. Smh
That's exactly what I commented too. Someone should have stepped in and put her in a care facility. She shouldn't have been at home with someone with Autism. Atleast her doctors should have stepped in if there wasn't any family around.
Here's the thing, the elderly are very disregarded. I've seen it with my own father. We take great care of him but when it comes to health caretakers coming to see him, they are constantly rescheduling appointments, not making follow-ups, etc. And this is with two capable adults keeping on top of them. I can only imagine dealing with a mentally unstable adult they just brushed it off

It disgusts me how few people spoke out Against the overall treatment of Chris & his family and the extreme lack of empathy shown by not just the trolls but the majority of those covering their exploits over the years so thank you for having the courage to do so. Social services, mental health care and education were gutted.
Chris needed help from the start and instead he was bullied until he lost what little sanity he had may God have mercy on his soul.
Chris Chan is the epitome of "everybody involved in the mess sucks", with varying shades of grey.
He was offered help. His family fled the county rather than let him go through specialized education or training.
Not saying the systems are perfect (they aren't) but the fact of the matter is that the system never even got a *chance* to take a crack at him until his 20s and 30s - and by then it was far too late.

This is a phenomenon that goes back over a decade and you can't summarize Chris in a single comment chain so all I'll say is this: there are no heroes in this story. Only shades of villainy, including Chris.
It's sad that it came to any of this, but this most of all. The train wreck that is Chris-chan ultimately serves as a cautionary tale how not to raise a child (autistic or otherwise) and the dangers of unrestricted access to the internet.
Who knows if any mainstream media will ever cover Chris, but if you want an idea of what a Chris-chan documentary could look like then look no further than GenoSamuel doc if you haven't seen it already. It's very in-depth and unbiased, presenting things simply as they happened.
Edit: the Geno doc is VERY long. The Sachumo doc only clocks in at one hour and the Down the Rabbit Hole episode is a decent shorter alternative. The Geno doc will really give you a glimpse of how it all happened though.

This is if you want to really learn about Chris Chan, literally from birth until up to 2 years ago. It is a shit ton of package to unpack and I'm only on part 20.
I'd give it 100/10 for the information provided and video quality and 100/10 will never watch again because this guy's life is just truly a tragedy.

As someone who's on the spectrum (my case is relatively mild but can vary on the situation). I can somewhat sympathize with him BUT only so little as I'm creeped out that he only see women/girls as sexual things, that has to take care of everything around the house (including him the other half of the "marriage").
So I agree with everyone in the comment section here, if his parents had taken his mental health seriously and gotten him the help he should have, maybe we could have avoided this whole chaos that is Chris Chan.

But, and this is a huge but, there are a lot of episodes that are hard to watch and listen to. Chris Chans life is filled to the brim with abuse of all kinds, and if I’m being honest, a lot of people have “ended their own lives” for a fraction of what Chris has gone through. His ability to rationalize and brush off said abuse off is quite amazing, albeit incredibly depressing.
I’m currently rewatching it because I took a break last year from watching it: it is a rollercoaster straight to hell and back.

I'm watching this and a good chunk of stuff is going unsaid. The Blanca that got nudes was actually Lord Silly Nipples, the real Blanca troll team was poking fun at Chris by pointing out his lies like his knowledge of Spanish and German as Blanca Weiß literally translated to white white as well as push for Chris to get a job. Quite a few of them did that, Blanca, Ivy and Jackie all pushed to get Chris to see his own ego, racism and obsessions.
I am in no way saying that these trolling groups were good people with pure intentions. Far from it, but to say their sole reason was just to make fun of Chris is dishonest.
What's more, even if Chris has autism and was sheltered that doesn't excuse his actions when he wasn't being trolled. The simple fact of the matter is that Chris was a self centered, selfish, angry, narcissist, malicious man child even before the trolling happened. Chris might not be all there but that is no excuse for anything he's done, just a reason. At the end of the day he is still guilty of many things like hitting Michael with his car (twice), sending harassment towards people like Marry, sexually harassing Megan, doxxing countless people, macing and threatening to mace people like the game stop worker if they 'verbally attack' him, meaning disagree and worst of all, raping his dementia riddled mother. He's even documented that she's told him to stop before and he ignored it and pressed on.
The trolls didn't make him do that. That was Chris who knew well enough what he was doing was wrong as he went out of his way to hide and lie about it.
when I was 17, I worked at a memory care assisted living facility (a retirement home for elders with memory problems). I developed friendships with the residents there and I still love them to this day.
With that being said,
It made me uncomfortable to listen to Chris’s mother push out those words when they so clearly weren’t her own. It feels so wrong that I can’t even put it into words. It genuinely hurt a part of me

Repizon didn’t hide Isabella’s face, all you have to do is look up other Chris Chan related videos and her face is clipped on them. From the grape vine Isabella’s parents work high up in government related fields and they’ve been protecting their psycho of a daughter ever since the phone call was leaked, so it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that Repizon didn’t put her face in the clip of the video along with Chris.

I will say as someone else who has watched Geno's documentary I see it all as one big trainwreck situation where everyone is at fault. From the early years Bob and Barb dropped the ball raising him (a lot like with their past kids) and gave the foundation for what he became. The trolls really also fucked him up mainly BlueSpike early on, Idea Guys later, and this new psycho now. But also though still not the best way some trolls tried their own back handed ways of showing Chris his faults and Chris repeatedly refused to ever change on most things. That's why I can tell this is not just about Chris Chan being autistic. I've known many autistic individuals who have had fairly normal lives. I really think either the parents isolated him too much, never gave him a good moral compass, and perhaps he had other mental issues other than autism. It all just snowballed into him being manipulated by someone that seems to be a professional gaslighter. It's just sad and I really hope he gets the help he needs as well as his mother

Honestly, as someone who has Autism AND who doesn't have much relationship experience involving romance, what Chris-Chan did wrong was they thought too hard about it.
Most people would just fall into depression for not having much of someone to have in their life, Chris-chan however was taking it TOO far.

The Emily clip broke my heart, no one deserves that. I've been in a similar situation myself and that really fucked me up. I developed a hatred and fear of anyone trying to show their love to me because I felt like they were lying, and I still kinda feel like that to this day. I know what Chris/Christine did to Barb was horrible and wrong but I couldn't help but feel so bad for them when I saw the clip. It's happened to me once or twice so far but I can't Imagine how painful it is to have it happen so many times.

I did look into the Chris Chan case at length, and it took hours each day...for about a week, to unravel the internet mess. Repzion, you are the first PERSON to give an accurate analysis. I was honestly the ONLY person commenting how sad, and how he lacked life skills denied by his family and the school system/community. Over a period of years, to the present, people were still commenting how funny the trolls were. Even at their absolute worst. It still blows my mind how this person is credited as the the whistle blower to his mother's abuse by countless TH-cam sites, when she never had any intention, and she was just another Troll in Christine's eternal doxxing nightmare. I hope you are planning to do a part 2, when this case is surely to progress, and get more elaborate. Excellent work.

I think Chris was an accident since both of his parents were in like there late 40s-50s so that could have added his underdevelopment since it said older people having kids risk greater genetic mutations.
Personally think it's all both funny and sad. Funny cause no one on Chrises end decided just to leave like Chris knew he was being messed with but didn't try to leave but also sad because people for what ever reason decided to mess with a mentally handicapped person and well how the story has ended is just sad cause I don't think anyone wanted this for Chris or his mom.

Actually Chris saw several doctors and therapists that his parents set up for him there's a TH-cam documentary showing the notes and findings of the therapists/doctors....but they gave him way to much freedom on the internet and didn't monitor or stay more involved .the family is very odd as a whole.
The father and the estranged brother were supposedly the only ones with some semblance of sanity in his family specifically.
As someone who looks after 2 unwell parents, its extremely hard. Not only is it a lot of physical work but its extremely mentally taxing. We worry so much about the ones we love. It just makes me so angry and sick hearing about this. My parents getting hurt or taken advantage of is why I'm living with them. To try and protect them from dangerous situations.
