I made a whole post and TH-cam decided to delete it. Ugh, the short version is women do this to men way to often because of how normalized it is and my mom was highly abu to my dad growing up. During their divorce, she tried to get him arrested one night after lying about abu and luckily my brother recorded everything and the video actually showed HER abu my dad. He would have been sent to jail and lost everything in the divorce had it not been for my brother. Ladies, keep your hands to yourselves.

My blood boiled when she sat that camera down and she had the fucking audacity to ask Johnny "what happened?" In the most classic "I'm gonna play dumb even though I know exactly what's going on and what I'm doing" voice.
To make it even worse she tried to hide the fact she was recording by putting her cup in front of her phone the first time.
It's the worst... the first time I heard some of the other tapes, I almost cried from the rage... I can't freaking STAND HER... she deserves the worst karma...
I tore apart my room when my dog passed. I was throwing books across the room, screaming. It was because I was grieving. Johnny was grieving and upset, and amber was filming it.
The very IDEA of filming someone who is supposedly abusing you, scares me. My father was abusive (emotionally, physically, and sexually), and I can 100% guarantee you, that if I had tried to film him when he was in a bad mood, or lashing out, I would VERY quickly have become the target for that.
Also, the only ones I've seen being comfortable with being close to their "abuser" (distance-wise) whilst filming them as "proof", are narcissists. It's just another way of adding to the manipulation.
Hopefully this makes sense, I'm just out of a cluster headache, so my mind is kind of feeling drained.

I'm not a violent person but when my grandmother died, I lost it. I had a relative come get my daughter (she was little and they knew what had happened). I then proceeded to scream, cry, throw a glass, and collapse on the floor. My grandmother was like my mother and I was GUTTED. I could never imagine that relative who picked up my daughter asking me why I was upset and recording me in one of my very worst moments.
I was also in an abusive marriage for a lot of years and the stuff Amber says and does reminds me EXACTLY of my ex-husband. They will convince you that you're crazy, that you imagined the abuse, that the abuse isn't that bad, that you're exaggerating. Abusers will do anything but admit what they did to you and by the time they're done, they have you believing it was your fault and that you deserved it. Fuck abusive Amber 🤬

Until hearing Repzion break it down, I had always assumed the video was after they had argued and I sill thought she was scum for gaslightimg and provoking him. To know there was not just the tragedy of losing his mother BUT the betrayal of his manager...makes that video even more disgusting from her.
Every time I hear Johnny talk her, he still is so poised and careful. He never paints the picture in a way that's better for him or worse for her. I hope he feels the support behind him.
He probably did that to lessen the abuse and placate her and after their divorce it was because he still cared for her and didn't want any of this s**t that's now happened!!

If people say they take abuse seriously, there's no way you can defend Amber especially after you know the full context. She literally got caught in 4k admitting to it how much more "evidence" do you really need. (And it's there if you do)
No amount of evidence will ever be enough for these people. They're convinced men can't be victims.

It's been so frustrating to watch all of this unfold and see how the case is treated even with so much evidence against AH. Even if Johnny prevails he's already lost and been through so much. It really shines an even brighter light on what an absolute mess Hollywood and our own system is, in my mind.

As a DV survivor myself, it’s so important that people are covering his story. Men get abused and our society has made it so hard to tell their story or be believed. DV is DV everyone who sees this should support Johnny. NO ONE deserves this, man or woman.

I have worked with DV survivors for over 6 years and the number of male victims I’ve seen is so incredibly high, yet there are NO resources readily available for them in many areas. I’ve seen it break them down so much that they refuse to go to authorities out of shame. It is disgusting!
I feel the same way I was in an abusive relationship for way longer than I like to admit. I spent nine years of my life trying to be the good little Christian wife I was born and raised in an extremist religion to be and then my dad died and the abuser got even worse than I could have imagined and I walked away from the church then my ex husband and took my children with me. Anyone who has been through this knows full well Amber is a lying, manipulative bi***!

If you're a guy out there and you see any of Amber's tactics in your gf, and you're thinking "well it's what you have to put up with to be with the hot girl", please stop. Be that first guy to leave her and hope she learns from it, it is possible to grow and change. But don't take it or hide it or let it be minimized to you. No hot girl is worth suffering abuse, because it devalues your self and your feelings. It can't be the basis for any kind of healthy relationship.
Matter of fact, it's worth noting that "it's what you have to put up with" (with respect to abuse) is one of the worst mentalities to have, for so many reasons.

When my late husband was killed in a car accident my then 13 & 17 year old GIRLS punched literal holes in my walls & there was more than one each. One of them also swiped everything off the top of their dresser (a previous place of honor for their favorite things). This happened over 4 years ago now & the 13 year old is now 18. Every once in awhile (maybe 3ish times this year), the anger over what happened that night still takes over a little & she'll throw something (not at anyone) or scream into the void over the unfairness of her being the only senior in her class without a father to do things with.
Johnny's reaction that morning falls under the level of completely appropriate & expected. Her laugh at the end though...yikes & not so much.
Ok so I've been in a abusive relationships and in on, on one occasion, it escalated to be physical. I promise you, if he has ever been angry enough to act the way Johnny was, there is no way I would have stayed and recorded it. I would have hidden and made myself as small and insignificant as possible so as not to draw his attention. And I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NEVER have LAUGHED at him. When you're with an actually abusive person, laughing at them when they are angry could be a death sentence! She's a piece of work.

Totally. Not a romantic relationship for me, but my father was very abusive and got violent with me quite often, I knew if he was angry or drunk I had to just be quiet, and hope he would forget about me because it'd be hell otherwise.
I still remember when AH hired a P.I. to "dig up some dirt" on Johnny, the guy spoke to everyone that was related to Johnny about Johnny like his friends, exes etc. But only found "dirt" on AH instead.
Dude, I thought I knew all about this story since I followed it.. but I had no idea that his mom also had died that day. It really makes everything she does to him even more awful.
She chuckled at the end of that "hidden camera" clip because she KNEW he wasn't going to hurt HER. She absolutely knew it would make him look bad and she was never scared NOT ONCE.
I think she was also giddy it was a chuckle like oh I've got you now. What she doesn't realize is the video with the given context of the shit that was going on in his life really partially debunks the abusive accusations in my mind. I've been in an abusive relationship and a day like johnny depp was having my ex wouldn't have taken the anger out on inanimate objects that's forsure. Even with her provoking him he takes out the frustration on the cabinets that's not what a rage filled abuse monster does. At least not in my experience.

And then her lawyer not letting her talk. And her lame description of the bathroom event. So she is in fear of her life and he is locked in the bathroom but she is trying to break into the bathroom to escape him and then proceeds to punch him once inside but she was trying to escape from him through a door he was holding closed. My head hurts at the utter illogic idea and stupidity. Myth busters would take one look at her description and go "Nope BUSTED". I have had to barricade myself behind doors from crazy abusers and even I know how she describes the bathroom incident is a lie.

I've found my own path to spirituality that works for me. if someone relates to a content creator's videos about religion, or lack thereof, there's nothing wrong with that. as long as you're not trying to force your beliefs onto others, there's really nothing wrong with believing in whatever it is you choose to believe in. it's really that simple.

With context I think Johnny’s anger in the video she recorded of him is completely valid and not out of the ordinary for a grieving person. And when SHE KNEW his mom had passed on? As someone with a passion for psychology, I find her behavior more baffling and infuriating. I don’t love Johnny as an actor, but he doesn’t deserve this. Because he’s a dude, he “can’t be a victim.” Completely agree with you on this one. Hopefully justice is served, but it’s Hollywood…I doubt it will be.

Whatever term you want to use, it's assault. Within the home it's referred to as domestic violence. But it doesn't matter where it happens, assault is assault. If you physically attack someone, they have the right to defend themselves, but it is often better to try to leave the situation. Whether that is going to another room, getting in your vehicle and leaving the area, or making that person leave. Getting out of those situations is extremely difficult. I know from experience. I had an abusive drunk for a father. I actually started sleeping with a loaded rifle when I was 12. He would often come in while I was sleeping and start beating me. The rifle was enough to deter him once in a while, but it wasn't a permanent fix. Thankfully, he died when I was 18. I no longer had to live in fear. I was finally free, and able to have a life. I was the only one at the funeral that was happy.
Hope you are better now, every kid deserves a parent, every person deserves being treated with respect, its awful being abused and being set like you were the problem and everyone being against you without even trying to know your point of view.

So glad you spoke out on this, and that it was in support of Johnny. As a DV victim in the past, I found Amber Heard’s story to be inconsistent and suspect the moment she started telling it…. so many things never rang true from the outset. I hope Johnny Depp gets the justice he deserves and this evil, manipulative creature is jailed for her wrong doings. She should never set foot on any film set again let alone on Aquaman 2’s. I personally will be boycotting the film if she is in it as I hope many others do. A fame hungry narcissist like her will only ever feel the consequences of her actions monetarily, so if her career dies maybe then she’ll have some inkling of how horrible her deeds and words were. Plus, if every film she is in bombs then maybe the short memories of Hollywood studios will be lengthened in her case if she is not a box office draw for them.
What I found very striking is that in the entire taped conversation, her defence is never: "You do the same thing!" Wouldn't that be the first thing to bring up when arguing about this? No, her complaint is that he "always leaves". She literally says "you never fight!" If he would hit her too, you would hear her say this all over the tape. And I know some people will say: "She didn't because she was scared that would trigger it", but with all the mocking and bullying she does in the video, that's not a very strong argument.
I have defended and supported Johnny, ever since amber accused him of abuse back in 2016, her supporters are insane, they send death threats to his then underage daughter, because she defended her dad, they send death threats to people supporting Johnny etc! Amber abused so many people in her Life, yet people still choose to believe her, it is so sad!
i remember a few years back when some people were exposing amber there was a clip of johnny and an interviewer, the interviewer tried to give him a high five and johnny flinched, that absolutely tore me apart inside. I knew immediately that he was innocent

This situation makes me feel just dreadful. Johnny's entire career was jeopardized and still clearly is unnecessarily 5 years later. She wanted to ruin his life and she may have failed in one sense but he still suffers everyday because of it as he can't be mentioned or seen without the situation being brought up. Anyone who thinks Johnny is less of a man or whatever doesn't understand abuse because DV has no gender boundaries. Then after she agrees and he says in a statement that she didn’t lie, he backpedals once he starts losing roles. He’s the one taking it to court. She wanted out. He was high and drunk out of his mind and violent towards her. But he doesn’t want it to hurt his career. It’s not going to look good on him. I came into this case not knowing anything abt Amber or Johnny for that matter, except for his major roles, and watched the trial with an open mind, but I STILL ended up seeing how horrid Amber is, I watched both testimonies, both sides argue. I watched the live court feed. No sane person could sit there after watching that trial thinking yeah Amber is innocent in all this, Johnny shouldn’t blame her.

When the recordings were first released people started to pore over old footage of Johnny and Amber, and you can totally see it, he looked so sad and broken. There was one clip where Amber raised her hand while talking to an interviewer and Johnny reflexively flinched.
Also, there’s a clip of Johnny by himself where an interviewer asks if he has a message to his fans, and he replies “I’m scared to death. I’m frightened, I don’t know what to do, I’m confused, and I want to go home.” The crowd all laughed thinking he was just being funny, but now with the context of what he was going through it’s heartbreaking.
Something we seem to forget is this, Johnny caught her recording him, broke the item because he was now angry with her, and then WALKED AWAY he left a situation that could have escalated, which is exactly what you should do.
That shows he's not an abuser he didn't stay and scream, he didn't get in her face, he didn't even raise his voice, he called her a mother fucker, which for him seems to be crossing a personal line and decided to walk away.
Everyone should be following his example when you're going through this much pain, remove yourself from the situation where you might do something you regret.

As someone abused mentally, emotionally and physically by my mother I can relate with Johnny so much, the way Amber Heard twists Johnny's words and claims he's fine is very reminiscent of the tactics my mother would use on me, on top of guilt-tripping me for whatever it is that happened and making me take the blame she'd also call me the abusive one if I ever tried to defend myself or fight back when she punched me or grabbed my hair if she wound up getting a bruise or two In my attempts to get her off me.
Abuse is abuse, doesn't matter if it's a man, woman or child that's being abused, it's abhorrent and Amber Heard at the very least deserves to never work in Hollywood again.

I remember when this story broke that she accused him of assault, wanted to leave him but still wanted money, and thinking...wtf. When victims finally leave their abuser, they don't want anything to do with them. They cut all ties, even financial. It seemed wrong. It also seemed especially weird that a man who had never been violent before suddenly gets violent in middle age. Fuck, he even had his exes say he was never violent! Everyone should've known from the start.
She actually tried to blackmail him initially. When he didn’t cave to her demands is when all of the sudden she made the public accusations of abuse against him! It all started bc he told her their relationship was over and he was going to divorce her, that’s when she tried to blackmail and make demands of him in the following days, then the public accusations!!
When the public started to question if she was making the abuse allegations in order to financially benefit, she all of the sudden backtracked on all the demands she was making in the divorce settlement, lowering them greatly and getting rid of a bunch! She also said she would be donating whatever divorce settlement she got in its entirety to prove she didn’t want to benefit financially.
After the divorce was final and she got the settlement, she proceeded to go around everywhere saying she donated it all - half to Children’s Hospital LA (CHLA) and the other half to the ACLU to be specifically used for victims of DV (🙄). Her and her lawyers put all kinds of press statements out, her lawyers mentioned it all the time in the press, the press and media everywhere praised her, she went and said it in so many interviews, etc! There’s even an interview on some foreign talk show where she talked about it, boasting she donated the entire settlement - half to CHLA and the other half to ACLU & even went so far as to say “I wanted nothing” from Johnny, their relationship and divorce, so that’s why she gave it away!
Only to come to find out in all the court proceedings leading up to the VA court case that will happen in Spring 2022 for Depp v Heard, that she DID NOT DONATE her divorce settlement like she claimed she did so many times and like her lawyers claimed she did! Now her lawyers are trying to backtrack, trying to claim that she PLEDGED to donate it - but in all the interviews and press she clearly said she had ALREADY DONATED THE SETTLEMENT IN FULL, meaning it was already a done deal! So she even lied about that and kept all the money for herself, which was against the details of the divorce settlement itself!!! 🙄 Disgusting!!!

If you are talking about the Sun case, that was against an article they printed accusing JD of abusing AH. The judge didnt side with AH. They sided with the Sun. All the Sun had to do was prove that they thought it was true because of what Amber said to them, not that she actually got abused.

That’s how often he was over there w her, only when Johnny was out of town working and such!! She petitioned the court to have her records of that abuse and arrest expunged right before she started daring Johnny bc she didn’t want him to know about it and wanted to hide it. That way she could claim she was abused by her ex-wife and not the truth - that she abused her and was arrested for it!! She even kept a painting her ex did and had it framed and had it hung on the wall at the bottom of their marriage bed in their bedroom. Johnny took issue w this and didn’t understand why she would want a painting hung up at the foot of their bed where it’d be the first thing they saw when they woke up and last thing at night before going to bed and just the fact that she hung a painting by her ex’s he alleged was abusive in their marital bedroom!
Later on, in the court case, she has tried to use those things against Johnny to try to show he was abusive and controlling! She tried to say that Johnnys concern about her working w Franco based off the false claims she told him and that he didn’t want to take the role, was him trying to control her, hurt her career and keep her at home and dependent on him! She then claimed that Johnny was jealous and became violent over the painting from her ex that was in their bedroom! So she deliberately lied to him, acting like a victim in both cases - making up lies about Franco and her ex, more false abuse claims, in order for him to be worried about her so she could then use his reaction later in her false accusations of abuse against him as a way to try to paint him as abusive, controlling, jealous, trying to hurt her career, etc!

We are in a culture where we don't want to victim blame. However, because of that, when someone comes out with their supposed abuse story, we jump into the support wagon, without doing research. It is okay to want to support a victim, but in the beginning, it is best to see what evidence there is, before declaring support. Because what happened with Amber, is that she came out as the victim first, and people just believed her without looking at the evidence, because if she said she is a victim, she must be, right? And because of that, Johnny's life has been ruined and he has had to fight tooth and nail to clear his name and set the truth straight: That he is the victim, not Amber.
I am not saying to not believe victims, because victims need all the support they can get. I am saying to be cautious of BLINDLY believing people when they first come out with experiences. Take a step back, look at the evidence presented, make an unbiased opinion from it, and then make your choice. And hopefully, by doing that, we won't see a case like Amber and Johnny again, where the real victim aka Johnny gets blamed, while the abuser aka Amber gets rewarded.

I wasn't there so I can never say for sure what happened and who did what to whom. But I believe that he was the victim. The testimonies, past allegations, things admitted in depositions and family/friend reactions have never given me cause to think that he harmed her but I do believe she tried to ruin him emotionally, financially and physically.
This video made me feel like shit, partially because of my own trauma, but this was so important. I know some people won't like the content you make, as it can be dramatic at times, but I'm glad that you do care so much. It's always good to have many people involved in domestic abuse situations, and to examine the situation from outside of the power imbalance.

This reminds me a lot of my grandparents, it was a really messy situation. My Grandpa was an ex-marine who ended up marrying my Grandma because she got pregnant. They were both farm kids that moved to the big city,, but my Grandpa started up a construction business, after years of being poor with three kids, and ended up making a lot of money. All the while she would degrade him, start huge fights whenever he got home after working 12+ hours, and would almost try to sabotage his achievements all the while bragging to her siblings, still in rural Illinois, about her money. He ended up becoming an alcoholic and smoker because that was the only way he could relax. My Dad and his siblings would listen to hear egging him on continuously, and she even got one of them to join her in it. He ended up slapping her once, in his 40 years of marriage, and she ended up keeping that over his head until his death. She would call him an abuser and awful shit about him. When he was on his death bed with pancreatic cancer, she still wouldn't let him smoke without yelling at him. My Dad's a stoner and got him to try a joint to help him with his pain. My Grandma found out about it and a huge fight broke out so he never smoked again even though it made him feel a lot better and even got him some appetite back.
Of course, they never did this around the Grandkids so I only found out about it years later once I became an adult. She's still alive and super toxic. She stole took over the inheritance, when some of it was supposes to go to her kids, and now uses it as a bargaining chip. My uncle ended up going no contact after she ended up sabotaging him and getting him fired. She talks about my Grandpa like they had this dream-like marriage... what a joke.
I won't excuse him slapping her but after years of gaslighting and verbal abuse, I can understand how it happened.

I've been though DV for 2 years almost 10 years ago, and it still affects me. Only now, after years of therapy and work on myself, I got out it. Fun fact is that it doesn't matter the gender of the person committing it, it's ALWAYS the same behaviour, what Amber Heard did and say reflect exactly what I've been through.

For me, the main proof was when Vanessa Paradi publicly said that he couldn't have done that. Because I can imagine, that being left by Johny for Amber wasn't in any way easy for her. She could have supported Ambers claims to get back at him, but she regardless stood up for him. That in my eyes honestly said more, that the messages which were later released.
I feel so dirty seeing such a vulnerable moment from a human being. I couldn't imagine having my spouse that upset and manipulating it. Poor dude... Probably the worst morning of his life and he has no support in his home...
I wasn't going to type this out.... You talking about DV and playing these clips actually brought horrible memories back and I started to shake. I was so bad when I found my ex cheated on me, my sons mother. Multiple times punch me more than once, so bad that her own mother have to pull her off me and I just took it. With everything that happen, I couldn't take it and I actually tried to hang myself. Glad I suck at knots eh. DV, like you said isn't gender-specific. I also hate when others tells me to, "Man up!" I'm in a better place now and I have my son all the time. Thank you for covering this story and talking about it. Been following since 09.

man when I lost my uncle recently. my fiance had a bad day and we had argued before the phone call, but he held me while I ugly cried and snotted all over his work shirt. I'm just grateful that I have someone who wouldn't take an opportunity in moments of grieving to make me look like an asshole. be your person's peace🖤
I'm not gonna lie, watching the clip at the beginning of Johnny telling part of his story made me cry. This whole thing is so messed up. It's so awful that people care less because he's a man... his abuse story is valid. I don't know that I've cried so much during a video... I can tell this hurts you too and hearing you vent about how people don't care as much about men is heartbreaking.

I can't with her. I was married to and abused by a narcissist and listening to those recordings honestly makes my blood (and anxiety) boil. Bless Johnny's soul for dealing with it as long as he did. I hope he can recover from the trauma and move forward. Thank you for talking about it!
As someone who almost seriously hurt their hand, because I punched a dry wall in my house after my father passed away, I can really understand what was happening in the beginning
Honestly, I was kinda worried for Johnny there. Broken glass is no joke, even worse than putting a fist through drywall. I'm all for punching shit to get anger out, and I do realize that to some extent the pain feedback can be part of what relieves tension, so pillows don't always work...but there are better targets than glassware and glass cabinets.

When anyone raised their hands at someone ,even if you did not physically hurt them , you still step out of line ...period ...
