This is very helpful! Thx for creating this, Hank! I know this sounds stupid, but I’d love to see a tutorial on bouncing on impacts and what not. I find that to be the hardest thing when animating fight scenes, and you’re the only person I really see that NAILS it every time!

Even though I use different figures this guide is great. The reaction to the punch and SFX are also good for selling the punch.
I haven't see anybody do this but I might try using a little coloured clay to fill the hand to make it look like a fist.
SFX are such an important thing and i started doing a segment for them in the last tutorial but i didn’t end up doing it. It probably would have been good to feature that in this tutorial. Thats a cool idea! 🍻

Really helps! but WARNING!! don't recommend that brand sticky tack its not very stick and kinda stiff "Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty" is much better, way sticker ,super easy to use and you can use 1/4 the amount of tack shown in the video and it still holds up! ps. i know all this from experience.
I’ve used white and blue sticky tac and i personally prefer the white bc it’s easier to hide than bright blue. I’ve found it gets stickier and less stiff the more i use it 🍻

For the blocking do you do any wind up frames? If you do how many do you do?
I usually use 15 or 12. For blocks i usually do the same wind up as punches but with smaller wind up and only one frame of easing in
