This is the ultimate gateway watch, I own the blue one. It was my very first automatic watch that I ever owned. I never sold it I will keep it forever, and I will be buying that bracelet from you sir!!! You are a freaking genius!!!
@islandwatch I just purchased this! I can't wait to see it and put it on. The only reason that particular watch isn't on my wrist a lot more was really because of the strap and then finding other 18mm straps that look good on it has proven to be a challenge. I'm very excited about this one! Sometimes and watch collecting, it's the little things that count!!
You're killing me with the ease you dropped that bracelet in! I spent 30 minutes sweating as I tried to get my sausage fingers to do what I told them for the install of a BRAC-74 on my Duro. In the end, it was well worth the effort. So I can't complain - but sometimes still do. That is a sharp looking bracelet for the Seiko. Bravo on matching the hue!
Thanks, Mark! I just received my bracelet today--sized it perfectly and love it. Looks and feels like a new watch, and I've had my 807 almost ten years.
My bracelet arrived this morning. It lookf and feels great on my SNK803 (which I ordered from you years ago). It's an excellent upgrade for this classic Seiko.
Marc, you are the master of marketing and sound business sense. You offer compelling, value for money products while maintaining a warm, generous, and most importantly, genuine persona. I want to buy a watch from you and have wanted to for more than a year but I am still waiting for juuuuust the right combination of design, features and price. I sooooo look forward to my first purchase.
Apparently this works on the Lorus sports lumibrite watch (another seiko all brushed field watch). Theres a vid of it on youtube. I have both watches and will see if it really fits as nice as it looks.
I saw that video, and immediately purchased this bracelet for that exact same reason. Looking forward for it's arrival. If the original glass ever gets scratched, think I'll upgrade my Lorus lumibrite to a sapphire crystal too.
Got mine for about $40 with a discount back in 2015. I still throw it on every now and then for an easy weekend wear. I'll definitely be dressing it up with this bracelet! Nice!
Already ordered. I have the green one and yes, it was my first mechanical watch. I’ve always hated the strap. For $60, this will make it a watch that I’ll wear again. I think you’ve got a winner here!
Darn the bracelet sure does make the watch look 20X cooler! It is a proper serious tool watch now. Excellent work on matching the finishing, it looks OEM, but better. Im dailying an Explorer II right now but this video made me wanna get the SNK809, for real.
I put one of these on a SNK805 (green) model today. The match of the bracelet to the watch case is amazingly good! Completely changes the character of the watch in a cool way. May need to purchase a second one for my SNK807 (blue).
The hits keep coming. It takes a true watch enthusiast to design and produce a bracelet that elevates a watch that is out of production (and price accessible when it was!). 9075 Republic? YES! I have my credit card ready.
5:11 I bought the bracelet and the last chain link directly at the end link unfortunately sticks out clearly / shows a noticable gap as soon as I wear the watch on my wrist. You can see that clearly on this time code here. I have a similar bracelet from Seiko and there it is much less pronounced or not visible. Could be due to the length of the male chain link. Too short perhaps? I'm keeping the bracelet anyway, as it also matches other watches in my collection, but it's a bit of a shame.
It's really cool that you are making a bracelet for a watch that's out of production. What's always kept me from buying this generation of 5 was the lack of hacking and hand winding (but maybe I'm wrong about that!)
Although the movement on this one of course doesn't hack or hand wind, there's something really charming about that movement when you're doing the Seiko shuffle and it doesn't take a whole lot and then after a day of wearing it it's basically fully wound. Mine seems to run just as accurately as their next generation of NH 35s
I used to not like watches without hacking because I would set my watch to the exact second (ocd) but then I realized that the watch is losing or gaining time each day anyways.
You can adjust time backward to stop or even reverse the second hand. Some call that poor man's hack. For winding you can shake around for a few seconds. These would be nice to have but not necessary.
Marc, that’s not only my first Seiko, but I’m wearing it right now! Blue dial. I have it on brown leather right now, but it’s just not right. The bracelet makes much more sense.
I ordered mine as soon as I got the email news they were available! Shipped out yesterday, and I am stoked to receive and put it on!! Now, how about a quality bracelet for the Seiko SNKL23J1! 🙂
Marc, I ordered this bracelet from your email then saw your video. I ordered the bracelet on Wednesday afternoon and received it this morning.(Saturday) Extremely fast delivery. I was on my way to work so did not install it until after I got home. Wow, what a perfect match. After I removed two links with the included screwdriver it fits perfect and looks outstanding. As normal your products are first rate. Thanks for being a person that is a pleasure to do business with.
Sorry I can’t remember exactly. But on my 7.25 wrist I normally take two off on each side. I can’t find my links but if it helps I have a total of 13 links on the band.
I purchased the bracelet a few weeks ago. I went to dig out the watch and couldn’t find it. I actually couldn’t find a a bunch of my low cost watches that I hadn’t worn in a long time. I moved about a year ago. We had movers take all of our stuff after we packed it up and transport it to my new home. I actually carried my watch box around in my car but the low cost Seikos and Orients, that I bought from you a long time ago, I had in an unmarked tote. Well I dug out that tote to get the watch and all the boxes were empty. The watches and pillows were removed and boxes were replaced. Suffice it to say, I was robbed. Not a huge monetary loss but I was disappointed I now had a great bracelet for a watch that I could have really enjoyed again. So I bought it again. Paid a little more but the watch and this bracelet combo is well worth the extra cost. Truly a great design, the finishing is a perfect match to the case. I’ve recently started appreciating smaller sized watches, even with a 7.5” wrist and plan on using this as a daily beater. Thanks again!
Just ordered it and I look forward to seeing it on my watch. Looks like a good match in finish and style. I go this great watch for my son when he turned 13 but now he wears another Seiko so I get to wear it sometimes. :-)
Marc, you keep coming up with ways for me to spend money. Got this for my SNK803 and it’s a massive upgrade. Now I’m going to have to buy 3 more for my 805, 807 and 809, dammit. 😉
Bought my first automatic, snk809 because of this video. My brac91 is now shipping, though it will take a while. Its great but hopefully, international shipping would be more streamlined in the future for next purchases. Thanks!
Mark, this bracelet is awesome! 🎉 fell in love all over again with my SNK. The only thing I don't like about it is the guilt trip from leaving my PRX in the watch box 😢
These look awesome! I was fortunate to pick up a SNK805 before the prices went up. So this bracelet cost almost the same price I paid for the watch LOL
Paid around 55 for mine back in the day. Amazing watch, I have a nice double padded leather strap on mine, but this bracelet looks great. Thinking about getting one.
Mine is a K1, this looks to be a significant improvement, it's now with Double domed sapphire and wearing a milanese looking great. I've got an 803 and an 805 so one of these could serve on all three.
Looks amazing! On an unrelated note, I bought the watch shown on your Seiko page header image, because... I'm a sucker for good product imaging I suppose.
Help! Love the way this looks, but I put it on backwards. How do I get it back off? Doing it in reverse is not working for me. I'm hoping that there's a simple trick that I'm missing. Thanks.
ive sent for one, the only thing i can't see is can you remove a link from either side of the clasp, so that you keep it equal with the clasp still in the middle of your wrist.
Ya know don’t need this but damn it’s beautiful! Love my Snk809 (thanks Urban Gentry!) on a NATO but this Really elevates it. I’m seeing the Snk800 series on Amazon from $175-$219 depending on the color. Amazing. Original MSRP was $185 and I got mine from Mark for $115 a few years ago. Just wild how scarcity breeds value.
Yep I own this watch, the beige dial was the first automatic watch I bought myself (not gifted to me). I just need to put it back together, I took the dial and movement out of my ISL-21 and put it in the SNK case. Sadly the hands were too tall and there are the two dimples on the ISL-21 dial that align the chapter ring that I couldn't hide so I just need to reassemble the SNK but if I ever do get around to it I will definitely order this bracelet. PS a blue aventurine Brookville in 38mm would be really cool, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention it! ;)
Was waiting for you to release this bracelet! SNK809 has one of the most legible dials out there. Bought this for $80 in 2020. Uncle Straps released a bracelet for this model last year, but disappointed it had hollow endlinks and looks flimsy. This one looks really robust and sturdy.

That’s awesome Marc! Can you please tell me what’s the width of the middle link from the bracelet joining the end link? Hoping it could maybe fit my beloved JDM SBCA001. 😮
