Very nice collection. Remember going into the dealership and oogling the DT200R. Another under appreciated 2T brought to Canada! In the late 90's, I bought mine used, with very low mileage. Had stock tires on! Was in showroom condition. After not using it much over the next 15 years, I decided to either park it as an ornament, or ride it. I chose to use it. Best upgrade was Race Tech's cartridge emulators and heavier springs from Cannon Racecraft. In the rear I recharged the shock and fit a heavier spring, again from Cannon Racecraft. Completely changed the bike! I was going to use it as a city bike, because the suspension was so bad! After the upgrade, it was like a new bike! Highly recommend it. Still love my DT200R! CHEERS!
DT200SM. Savage. Put a good FMF setup and a 230 stoker kit on that thing it it would take a DRZ400SM's lunch money . But you run the risk of the bike locking up on the street. Happened to me. Bike locked up @ highway speeds. Almost died. Those street legal 2 strokes would have been a lot safer with factory slipper clutches.
The 70's air-cooled one might have had air filter deteriorating during 40 years of life, and therefore, at some stage somebody put too big a main nozzle to compensate. Replace original foam air filter, if not already done so, and put also original Mikuni main nozzle and it should run just fine after that.
Nice collection. I was looking at getting another DT200 for a project and possible SM wheels. I used to have a DT230 and put SM wheels on it from the DT125X from the UK I had a custom bracket made to suit the front brake calliper. Is that what u did ?
They're available from two sources, in Spain you can buy a "DEP" pipe and silencer. Or from a Japanese website called "WeBike". Also "FMF" sells a pipe and silencer for the WR200. I believe that with some minor changes, it can be used on the DT200R. Good luck. I bought a used expansion chamber off of a forum member and a new silencer from "Pro Circuit". They do come up on occasion.
that IT250 has seen better days
One day in the future she will be rebuilt

Nah, it just needs a full engine rebuild, as its still running the OEM piston for 40 years. Air filter was new and the carb and jets were checked ;)

Its a FMF pipe for WR200. Just needs a small mod to fit. Works great with this engine.
