I just top end rebuild my 1990 dt200r and having issues getting spark. I’ve replaced ignition coil and the stator.. post more videos can’t wait to have it running and ripping around
Maybe there's something wrong at some place in the wiring loom? Or some ignition switch/ground issue? I will make more vids in '22 when I will have the rebuilt DT ;)

sounds awesome bro and it has a hell of alot of grunt, It sounds just a as good as my 3ET with a fmf fatty, I put a 230 main jet with stock carb and it just crackles and sputters and wont open up, I will try a 210 or 200 and see, the Dt airbox is restrictive as well, I thought about drilling a hole and using a Blaster airbox vent for a bit more air
Your too rich talking those main jet sizes. Try a 180 (if stock exhaust system) or 185 (race full system) as the main if your premixing your fuel with a 30 to 32.5 pilot, needle middle clip (stock position). Likewise if your still using the factory oil injection pump use a 170 main with stock pilot size 25 or bump pilot to 27.5. Remember stock bike is 150 main with a 25 pilot. Remove snorkel on air box, you can even enlarge the opening where snorkel was mounted to increase air flow - just don't cut out the entire top of the airbox...
I think the WR was it’s sorta like the old KDX 200…. But the DT 200 wasn’t much different they were all excellent bikes, i wish they made them again, a modern KDX 200 or DT with road rego would be Grouce
@@triggerhappy8872 the WR’s were a good bit meaner the the KDX I love em all though, I had many IT’s my 86’ 200S was a sweet bike I had 85’ YZ 250 suspension under it, 151/2 “ ground clearance seat height with that thick enduro padding must have been 40”

i have a dt125r with a fake akrapovic slip on it sounds like a banshee 350 can't imagine the sound that this dt200r would make with a akrapovic
