This is some deep, rich, dense, concentrated, high level, foundational pointings. Had to back up several times and revisit passages just to get back on board lol. Such a joy. Thank you dear Jayasara for this sustenance
i love this picture since long and found your channel, dearest venerable samaneri jayasara via this thumbnail, two years ago! i listen daily and don´t know why i discovered this treasure ("the way of the bodhisattva") only today! GREAT GRATEFULNESS, once again!
Thank you for sharing this incredible reading. Wow. So fortunate! I know that Dzogsar Khyentse says that those who want to realize the Madhyamaka view and develop wisdom should study this particular passage hundreds of times over their life, a very strong recommendation! One thought I had in listening to this, whether it would be possible to do a reading of Chandrakirti's Madhyamakavatara? His Holiness says that this is the best text for studying the Madhyamaka view and realizing emptiness. It's relatively short and accessible compared to Nagarjuna's Mulamadhyamakakarika but maintains the extraordinarily precise logic and poetic guidance to introduce the Madhyamaka view. :) Bows and Big Thanks
Thanks for another great suggestion Guy. I shall look into it. Also, glad to know you have enjoyed this challenging teaching on wisdom by the great Shantideva. It's quite a workout isn't it. Just FYI, I have recorded Chapters 7 and 8 of the text but having got around to uploading as yet but if you would like to listen they are up on my GD here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1NxblDoc1aAIuhi8VirvkzXVJiCzNA0aT With all good wishes
@@SamaneriJayasara ah yes, I definitely have the sense of being stretched and spun until breaking and surrendering listening to this, I think this may be part of his teaching for those of us under the illusion that we conceptualize/elaborate well, hehe. Thanks for sharing the links to chapters seven and eight, I look forward to dancing with them. All the best, Guy
Most beautifully read. Thank you 🙏🏾

Good stuff.
Whose voice is this? Where can I find chapters 2 to 5? Pleeeeease? Thank so much in advance!
Could someone briefly explain what defilements refers to here? (24:15)
Three defilements in general: desire, hatred, and delusion. These are said to be like a dirty cloth wrapped around a precious diamond.
Frankly Samaneri if the Buddha doesn’t have your voice…. I’ll be quite disappointed.
