A little advice, you're probably going to lose a lot of weight this playthrough thanks to the large zombie spawns and winter, but you can actually easily make up for it during the spring, summer, and a little bit of fall by fishing with spears. Hopefully we get to see you do that!

Did it make you depressed? I like everything about this game except for the fact that if you eat something that you wouldn’t normally it makes you depressed, when I think that if you are starving, literally anything would taste delicious

that´s my main base in my current playthrough, i recommend you put the tables on the entrance as barricade. Also try to clean up that town up north, lots of food and gas. Also, when you go to Muldraugh (the big town on the west) if you follow the road you will find two houses before you reach town, try securing the house with two floors and then put sheet ropes on the upper floor (at least in two windows) also barricade the stairs. That house will be great as a safe place in case you wanna loot the big town. In my case i destroyed the stairs but you dont have the option, so i recommend you avoid attention when you are in the house, put sheets on all windows and allways close the doors. Also, the train station, the place you where at the beginning, is a dangerous place but it has lots of tools, so consider going there when you no longer have a cold, and at the east of that place you will find a warehouse, i havent been there so i dont know how secure it is, but warehouses away from town tend to be isolated... And at last, plan a strategy for when the chopper arrives, i dont know if you already had the event, but if you did not, i recommend being away from your main base. If everything goes to shit you can allways try to go to riverside, more chill
Also, going through the woods damages your clothes unless you use the "walk to" command or avoid going through the trees... I think it would be safer if you go on the road, killing any isolated zombies or sneaking pass them, whatever you prefer.

I finished fortifying, had a generator and lots of food from farming; i think i also managed to clean the little town that was up north... it was a good run

I wonder what would have you felt if you didn't check the online map. Like, imagine that feeling: you walk, you're hungry, you don't know what awaits you: hungry death, a horde of zombies, a car with food inside? Oh, so dramatic... I should do that more in my own playthroughs. I just want to have a 100% suitable base position and I chose the farmhouse so I had to search up how to get there. Everything else I'm hoping to explore on my own. Maybe later I could try a map mod for that complete feeling again

Holy shit, best zomboid youtuber by far. TH-cam recommended me a guide and I was "wow, this is great content, the commentary sounds very professional". Then I started watching this series. Lmao, between the over 9000 moodles and the constant swearing, this is super entertaining. And the gameplay is fucking solid as well.
