@@stupotgorilla if you dont know where to look. anything in dangerous, un inhabited by civilization zones has pog loot. if you start in the hub theres a ruined HN outpost to the east up in some hills. it has mostly low grade weapons, but you can come upon better grades too if youre lucky with the spawn, dunno if spawns were pre set or not so. but just looting the place amd selling the stuff can secure your first few days worth of cats. its how i start most of my hub characters.

I felt that line to my core. This game never lets up on that message of, "This world isn't for you and it doesn't revolve around you, it just is."

if you want a world that don't give a f about you stalker is amazing in that aspect, mods like anomaly took it to another level.
That's why you started playing, because that's how the real world is.
Kenshi really does have a way of generating great stories just from gameplay. I remember sending my last two people who hadn't been killed or captured by slavers to rescue one of our people. It was a close 2v2 fight, but we did it and went back to our village to fortify defenses and plan the rescue plan for the rest of our people. Long story short, it resulted in countless battles, all out war and finally my thief sneaking into their base and liberating my people to make an intense escape.

yep,one of my most interesting starts was a slave in holy nation territory,i studied the times,the patrol routes,shift change times,start and end of work day,when and who wakes up while exploring the place under the cover of darkness,the one night i libirated as much people as i could and made a run trough the gate, the two shek i libirated joined me and together we raided a holy nation farm near by for food and supplies and enslaved the farmers as a revange went twards the great desert and got enslaved over there once again together with those farmers lmao. kenshi really comes back to bite you in the ass every chance it gets
My first day in Kenshi:-
I looked around my city and there was nothing to do, I left to explore the outside and I saw a group of people who starting running in my direction so I ran back to the village and they had a fight with the guards, and one of them slipped by and attacked me while i was hiding in the bar knocked me out. No one helped me and I was left to die.

this is the best blend of narrative storytelling, exposition and video editing that I've seen in a while. You should be extremely proud of yourself; I didnt think I was going to sit through the entire 45 minutes but it was too engrossing to look away! Liked and subbed!

I love the dream sequence. Every time I play Kenshi I will have something like those cannibals happen to my characters and have to reload and it's interesting to think of it as a horrible dream the character had.

For those coming to this game. Here's a recommendation: Play it for roleplay, not for maximizing your stats/finances. Grinding for stats is not fun, and having an overpowered character isn't either. Having a unique Kenshi game experience is amazing.
Narration and storytelling is hella unmatched in the Kenshi field. Well done.

This has gotta be up there with Dwarf Fortress for the sheer amount of emergent gameplay that can be used as a narrative device. Amazing work! Would love to see more.
I have a squad in Kenshi that's so old it goes back to when the game didnt have biomes, it was just a solid desert. I hope I can export them to Kenshi 2!
I have a 1-person save dating back to 0.6X before the transition to Unreal. Across the versions up to the new map, the Edge Type 3 Plank was later replaced with a Edge Type 2 Falling Sun, facing the beak things ever familiar since the addition of animal nests and their fear-inducing presence. By the time all map sectors are open, the time came to grab a Paladin's Cross for a showdown at the most dangerous regions of the map for the Meitou Falling Sun.

I still fondly remember my first character in this game. Jokingly named Beepity Bap, at the suggestion of a friend, she would watch me play most of the time when I was playing. Over time Beepity went from just a funny, throw away character, to becoming an absolute force of nature. By this point Beepity's preferred weapon of choice is the Falling Sun, something that takes out most people in one or two hits, and anything else in just the one. Only the most elite of soldiers or powerful of monsters really put up a fight against him now, that or overwhelming numbers. Though he usually will take out a few before I consider running away.

Been playing kenshi for a couple years now. I always tell my stories as I play though. Father of two and small business owner, I can't justify the time to create polished videos. So, I'm absolutely enthralled with the style and effort you've put into your art. (Subscribe) love to see more.
For once the algorithm gave me something good. I haven't touched Kenshi in a long time and saw it on the list of games on sale and decided to redownload it and play around and papa youtube was watching and sent me here. Loved the video and look forward to seeing Season 2 someday

Yeah I got enslaved five minutes into the game, managed to escape, spend days in wilderness to lose heat, tried to trade ore in another city for food, which worked out, I was making profit. Fast forward two days of gameplay and I now run mining operation 8 man strong, buying and renovating abandoned property for storage. No way I can survive in the wilderness, but my little mining operation is pretty succesfull, in time I will own most of The Hub.It's a big world out there, but I don't care yet lol
I come back to this masterpiece once in a while. It really feels like a labor of love, good writing and smooth editing from Nurse.
this was such a well made video, ive only ever seen like 2 videos on kenshi and the commentary really put the cherry on top of the already great editing/content

years have passed and i have played hundreds more hours of this beautiful game; thank you so much for one of the most beautiful stories ever told within the game! i commented years ago about your commentary and its still good years later; good shit!!
I remember starting off starving in the middle of the vast desert with only one arm... my only choice was to find nearby slavers, and beg them to beat me up and carry me to their camp... because that involves both safety and food.
Working for them built up my strength, and eventually I learned enough lockpicking to sneak out at night for food and supplies.
I was constantly discovered, beaten up, and thrown back in a cell.
I didn't realize it yet, but each time they captured me, they not only made sure I was alive and fed enough to survive, but every time I was beat up I gained toughness.
Eventually, my strength and toughness was high enough that I turned into a monster and took down most of the slavemasters, until eventually there wasn't enough left to stop me from stealing all of their food and gear and just walking out the front door.

Kenshi is one of those games that makes you always remember your first "playthrough".
I'll never forget that rollercoaster of ups and downs of getting into it for the very first time. The development from a lone nobody mining copper alone somewhere out in the wastelands to earn his bread and butter, to finally having enough money to buy some spare food rations to travel somewhere else in search of more lucrative (and also safer) work environments, to making your first friend in this unforgiving world, to making your first sworn enemies and eventually to finding a place to stay is a journey you'll find in very few other games.
I've used a screenshot of my first goofy looking bunch of loosers as my desktop background for almost four years. Sometimes, after a long night of gaming, when I was about to turn off my pc and head to bed, I looked at this picture with a smile and thought to myself, "Yeah, those were fun times with you guys." Hell, it's almost creepy how attached the human mind can get to a few pixels.

Still the best work you've done. It's a shame it burned you out. Mixing the luck of having a radio show quality voice with solid editing skills, a good sense of humour and story telling prowess results in a rare cocktail indeed. Add the simp potential as you're a lady (a sad, sexist, but incredibly powerful tool. Choice lyrics/visuals in the corpse husband video anyone? ;) ) and you've got a recipe for success. If you double down and go for full time content creator there is no doubt in my mind you'll make it. If not, atleast you tried and failed. And there is no shame in that.

When I saw "Daily Quest Grind Presents" I was immediately thrown back to 2016 when I was trying to play Monster Hunter Online! So happy I found this channel again, your content is really good.
