Can't blame him for being dramatic, since his ex leaving him directly led to him getting his legs and arm ripped off and getting infected with a deadly parasite while having to fight off mutants and still fail to stop the culprit despite everything.
@@m1tl4y0tl the thing is he had it handled until it wasn't think about how he's feeling they had guards and those guards had gun's and training, like how many safety measures failed how these things can't use doors and even if they could why are they closing them afterwards just imagine the "OH COME ON" when he gets there like you would think they would still have a whole lot of food as there would be emergency rations after the regular rations
Can we talk about the fact that everyone on this ship died to infection, and yet one guy with a SINGLE ARM can single...handedly...(oops) take on the entire place, while also keeping a parasite from getting to his brain?
Considering prior comment realistically same thing kinda happens in left 4 dead universe. Virus breaks out and has no trouble with anyone… until the carries (sorta immune) start existing and they mow down the regular infected with ease. Least in that universe special infected exist to get harder to reach uninfected and any carrier (sorta immunes) by themselves being other crazy variables technically like carrier’s. This game has one guy who is not normal, add in the regular arguably easy basic infected monsters. Lets be real they’re not expected to kill many but probably more so for spreading via their own bodies if killed for the infection. If any special infected monsters exist they do for when simply trying to infect people regularly is not good enough. Its like exactly a virus evolving past antibodies or whatever stands in their way. However what not a lot of people know is virus and bacteria can only hold so much resistance against any type of thing with the trade off of losing the other. Its easy to say this is quite thematically for zombies as they are apocalypse stands are for none immune people those being the factor they can only account for less than they intended purpose. Still crazy situation to put some one armed guy in, imagine how the game would develop if he gets his limbs back.
It's certainly more narratively satisfying if he does change, so that's probably much more likely to be how the writer(s) end things, but if we were to ignore the meta fiction then I'd say he's not currently in a position to be an asshole and could just as likely return to his old manner if ever holds an advantage over someone else.
After what he did in the last game and her smugness at being the "Chosen by the parasites" is kinda satisfying seeing Luce realize she is nothing to the parasites, just another tool

0:52 I like how in order to meet the weight limit he has to leave all the weapons, even though he already lost half of his body weight in limbs. It's only designed to bear the weight of a small, fully intact child?
Considering the size of the pod I don't think it was even originally meant to fit a human period. Cynte just needed something that could take him to another ship and that's probably the only thing that worked.
I hope manly learns that you can store items in the elevator, otherwise he’ll be too encumbered the whole run. Edit: I thought my comment would disappear in the void, like Manly’s soul. Thank you everyone!
I like this game because it doesn't actually prevent you from doing anything, just tries to discourage you. You can take everything, but you'll be slow and it's not very fun. It's a nice way of balancing, so everyone gets to have their own way of playing based on their preference.
And here I was thinking the efficient play was to, after clearing a level, do a quick run to gather up everything and place them in front of the elevator to make them easy to get to. Don't know why, but I was thinking the elevator had a weight limit to prevent you from just placing all your extra items on it.
Cynte is already infected and Karis's room is probably the only one which isn't full of parasite air, Karis has much more to lose from going out there.
Things I want to try: -Pile all the loot in the elevator and rename it the Pen-evator -Give Cynte a cute toy wagon in pastel colours to pull around -Stick one of the spare legs to Cynte
It's so funny watching Manly hoard all the loot he gets his hand on even after saying multiple times that he won't do that again and then crawl slowly until he finds a way to lower the weight
You know, I was wondering why this was a 3.5 hour long video. And then I hit the over-encumbered section with reduced move speed and it all made sense. For the record, I approve. No item left behind. We're all gonna make it
i dont think ive ever in my life seen a game increase carry weight by adding something lighter than air. amazing attaching a bunch of balloons to my other video game charcaters brb

You have to hand it to Cynte, dragging himself through countless hallways for what? Vengeance? He is an evil man so it's not like he is doing it to save others. The crossover we didn't know we needed, Cynte meets Teke Teke.
Spite. He got three of his limbs torn off and he's *pissed* about it, so he's gonna live this situation that he (totally did not conceptualized) didn't see coming, and he's gonna do it better than everyone who had multiple limbs and died, dammit
Has anyone considered how convenient it is that all these door opening levers are on the floor where cynte can reach them and not on the wall where he cant?
If you lay on the ground with some trial and error, you would manage to flip a lever 75 cm of the ground. Literally lay on the ground next to your rooms door and try to grab the handle. It will work
Karis: I can't survive out there like you can. Not a single remark how you seem to be killing your way through mutated creatures that took down armed and somewhat ready soldiers all with a single...arm... Having disabled legs is no excuse Karis! I know one thing for certain, Cynte's arm should NOT be that skinny. The amount of strength and endurance it would take to drag yourself around like that...his arm should be too thick to fit through doorways. You heard the arm, but didn't see it because it was attached to the corpse at 2:03:55 - it disconnected and attacked when you got close.
@@bestaround3323 tbf he heavily malnourished because he starving himself just to be able to get into the ship that supposed to deliver a mail and in the prequel he is much stronger and carry heavier load.
Bulging muscles don't mean endurance. That's thin or more appropriately, lean is the correct aesthetic, not gigantic muscles. Just look at the physique of marathoners and tribal hunters/divers.
Between things like the flashlight, the shotgun needing to be manually cycled, space suit monsters, and the whole crafting system this does genuinely feel like a proper sequel and evolution of the mechanics of the first game which is commendable Also we get some more character development with Cynte which is always cool
Cynte is a role model with that will to live and raw determination. The dark levels seem a bit overused but overall SUPER glad to see more Endoparasitic!

I love how it's heavily implied that Karis and Cynte were exes. Cynte is the lowkey insane and unhinged guy, and Karis is the one that keeps him sane and at least more empathetic.
@@PanicLediskobe hella tragic if they were husbands, like that implies they had some troubles that got them into a shaky boat that sank and their relationship changed ever since leading to him becoming this ruthless monster
I think Cynte scared Karis, which is why he left without saying anything. From the first game, I got the feeling that he was always temperamental and cruel. Even if he was not that way with Karis, seeing anyone be like that to others would scare them off.
_You kept those enemies at arm's length_ You made over 3 hours go by like the blink of an eye. There was good voice acting in the game. And just enough smart commentary from you to maintain tension and drama to allow us to see Cynte's struggle and hear his story. Fantastic editing MBH! Can't wait for part 2.
the main character is the definition of an anti-hero. He wanted all the power to himself, but after somebody took it from him, he is out for revenge to kill them, and, as a byproduct, he is saving untold numbers of people in the process.
I reckon malnutrition works mostly in favor of his condition, like how marathoners are thin af but could go long ways. He's still affected by lack of food, but at least the reduced bodyweight puts less strain on his only limb that he uses for everything.
It's been noted that our guy can accomplish a lot with his limb deficit. I would like to add if he had all four limbs, he would be John Wick crossed with Einstein. One wonders h ow much the parasite is keeping him alive, dovetailing to his inhuman will. In any event all this skidding along on the floor is going to scrape him smooth as a Ken doll, so he won't be passing on those traits to any future children.
@@confusedjello7292 He said he'd been surviving for MONTHS skidding along, often in a great hurry. Actually if he was really that smart he'd have gone down to the metal work shop and built himself one of those flat rolling things mechanics use to get under cars, then zip along footloose and fancy free- oh dear that was insensitive of me.
Imagine the amount of pain in his chest isn’t after dragging himself around for the entirety of the first game on his chest let alone the pain that he’s probably having his nephew having to look up and drag himself otherwise his face is in the floor
I appreciate Manly's organizational skills. Everything has a designated area. And the hoarding! Loot! It must be collected, categorized, and saved for later! It might be vital for future survival!
And the shotgun reloading! Hell yes! But, spinning a lever action long gun to chamber the next shell is a lot harder than it seems (it usually requires a modified loop, and Arnold Schwartzenegger nearly broke his wrist trying to do it with an unmodified Winchester 1887 in Terminator 2), but Cynte can do it reliably, apparently?! Who is this guy that he can just do stuff like that?😆
I performed my nightly check of manlys channel and didn't see a new upload, I then set my phone down and get ready to go to sleep, my phone vibrates, a chill goes down my spine... Manlybadasshero has uploaded a new video...
Manly is so good at those little puzzles it's crazy. I always thought I was good at that kinda stuff, but I'd have to pause and figure it out after he solved it like it was nothing
Mutual Resource Crafting Scarcity in games like this is very interesting to me. Every two shotgun shells is roughly equivalent to one, to one and a half health pickups, because it uses the upgrade material for the basic HP improvement. One can argue that shotgun shells will save you HP- and if you have enough reserve healing, it's not really a consideration- but the choice to make pistol rounds and shotgun have roughly equivalent killing potential per craft on the generic enemy type definitely pushes in favour of the pistol. Which is stranger considering how they made it less engaging to play with the loading. The revolver was great fun in that regard- and similar fun has been moved to the shotgun racking. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this.
I've been watching this all day off and on. Pausing when I need to focus. It's about 6:50 pm and the day is just starting to blend together. Halfway through, I descend into my cold bedroom in the dark and try to just watch the rest.
This game really gives me ideas to play around with unique mechanics. Like, for example: In most horror shooters like Resident Evil / Dead Space, you typically aim at the bulbous sacs (which sometimes glow / have a colour contrast that's very different) to critical-hit the enemies. But what if those sacs are purposely positioned to shield the enemy, they contained poison / explosives and you had to aim away from them in order to cripple the enemy? If you shoot the sac, the pathogens inside will release & make everyone on the ship / space vessel more and more infected and they'll become monsters themselves after a certain point. Could be a fun idea to explore.
Yeah its a good idea. At first in this game i thought the small orb in the middle was the head (small so its harder to hit) Then i realized that i fell prey to a bait
I understand the fountain pens being everywhere and the adrenal shots being fairly common first aid supplies, and nitroglycerine is used for chest pains and heart issues so, sure. I kinda don't know why this space station is so full of nitrocellulose though. I doubt they're manufacturing old timey outdated film or wood lacquers on a space station That said, I love that in the darkness, the muzzle flash of the guns lights up the entire room for just a brief moment
Imagine being a former astronaut which became a monster in space full of pain and agony and then a torso with one arm sprints through the door sees you and pulls out a glock yelling" YESS I'M LIGHT AGAIN"
What a coincidence, I just finished watching part 1 - put out a year ago. I was wondering if part 2 had come out, searched it on your channel and boom, released 14 hours ago. That is some luck right there.
It's a pity Cynte is a lot more silent in this sequel, he used to cough occasionally and actually scream out whenever he took damage in the prequel. I wonder why they toned that down so much.
The evil scientist MC possibly being gay with an ex was NOT the lore I expected to learn from the sequel! Nonetheless, i never stopped thinking about the 1st game & I'm so glad it got even more new content now!
Never has an instadeath hardmode been more appropriate. What's left of him? Nothing he can afford to lose. So what's he got left? An absurd amount of Nitro Baby!
I had an idea for a space game where you can send supplies up to the station but they have to be approved whitelisted items for gifts. Like an apple might be too expensive to normally send as food but you can gift it. Anyway luxury gold fountain pens was going to be the key item causing mysteries why there’s requests for tens of thousands of gold pens but there’s only a handful of astronauts. Then on the space station you’d see the request form can’t be customized and they can’t send any custom messages out. They’re just melting down the pens for solar shielding. Seems oddly similar to why there’s so many fountain pens here lol
Why would they not just... import solar shielding? Or import gold foil / bars for on-site manufacturing? Sure gold is heavy, but think of how much wasted weight there is in the rest of the pen that isn't gold plating
@@bigchooch4434 Yeah that was kind of the idea with the incredible amount of inefficiency. It’s sort of like if you were stuck at fully automated horror dimension that’s just a Chuck E Cheese. You can win unlimited tickets with your unlimited time but you can only redeem your tickets for the prizes they have available that are automatically restocked. You might need a bulldozer to get out, but that’s just not an available option even if you had an unrealistic billion tickets. You’ll have to build a shovel by melting down toy cars in the on-site and non-ideal pizza oven because that’s the only sort of tools available to you. There’d be no way to interface with the space station in my game to request gold foil, it’d get boiled down to chuck e cheese ticket style request for luxury pens. Part of the mystery would be paperwork logistics in the background with this. Maybe you could piece together what the pens are being used for before hand if you find enough background clues, but it otherwise looks like someone made an error in their order or that someone made a joke order / an in-game joke

Can we talk about the fact that everyone on this ship died to infection, and yet one guy with a SINGLE ARM can single...handedly...(oops) take on the entire place, while also keeping a parasite from getting to his brain?
i didnt make it far in this playthrough but i believe it was explained in the first and hes not a normal guy

Could be a fun idea to explore.
dang ur cooking, that's a great idea
Yeah its a good idea.
At first in this game i thought the small orb in the middle was the head (small so its harder to hit)
Then i realized that i fell prey to a bait

That said, I love that in the darkness, the muzzle flash of the guns lights up the entire room for just a brief moment
