ROOOOGER!!! THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU!!! I learned more in 30 minutes than in my entire life concerning MPLS, MPBGP and VRFs. It maybe 30 minutes but I took notes for 3 hrs!!! lol
Thanks for putting in all your efforts to make this video available, it was really helpful to grasp the configuration structure of MPLS VPNs. Subscribed.
Absolutely wonderful tutorial in the basics of MPLS!!!! I agree with posts below - I learned in 30 minutes what I've been trying to learn in the last week! Namely, what role the Customer routers play in MPLS and their configs!! Thank you Roger!!!
Thanks G R - I had spent days trying to grasp MPLS which was the reason I made this video - to cement it in my head. Glad it helped your understanding!
Hi Roger, Great setup and straight forward configuration video, textbook example... I only have one question, shouldn`t the interfaces facing the R4 and R6 routers be in the VRF RED together with the whole OSPF2 process for this to work? I have tried without and in that case the redistribution OSPFBGP is not possible... M.
Can I replace the site routers (R4 and R6) with two level 3 switches connected to two separate building networks? I need to connect the two building networks using Mpls.
Great Jason, glad it helped - it took me a long time to get all the steps down, but once you do it from the ground up one step at a time - it all makes sense.
The BGP peering happens between two routers, OSPF provides the transport between the routers irrespective of what's in the middle, switches have no impact
