Just brilliant!! Thanks for the video.
I envy you because, you broke down a complicated topic that requires several hours of lecture into a 42 minute video and more over you made it crystal clear and fun to listen to. Bravo!

Thank you so much Kevin for this video, it helped me a lot at this moment because I am doing a Multicast lab at work. You can not imagine how much your videos have helped me (CCNP R&S, CCNA and CCNP Collab and youtube videos), I can say I am where I am thanks to my effort and the best "virtual instructor or teacher" who is you, and taking into account that english is not my native language. All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH and I have recommended you to all my friends and colleagues. Have a really good day Kevin.

Fantastic. After hours of reading sites and papers on "how to do basic multicasting", I found this. You nailed it. I can walk back to my network, configure it for multicast and understand what I'm doing. Thanks Kevin!

So many videos out there trying to explain the concept of multicast routing by simplifying it to the point it leaves so many unanswered questions. What they fail to understand is that sometimes as a learner you need to go deep to truly understand what is happening. Great video Kevin, you have helped a lot!

Mr. Kevin Wallace. I was trying to understand multicast for about a year now and wasn't getting the concept. it was very frustrating. When I watched this video, the lightbulb just turned on. The basics made sense. Especially understanding auto-rp. Now I know why, it is most beneficial to run Sparse-dense than either sparse or dense modes. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Already subscribed and looking to view more of your videos.

Great video explaining multicast. IGMPs are used for joinibg multiicast group. Then, the multicast messages to group members are sent in reverse-path-forwarding to avoid duplicate packets. And PIM-DM and PIM-SM are kinda like multicast ROUTING protocols that utilize pruning and grafting to optimize routes.

Great video illustrating multicast. Quick question, what if I wish to configure different RPs for different multicast groups? How does a mapping agent decide who wins the elect of RPs?
