Exactly the same with me. When I was in middle school I had a 1/16th scale Traxxas e revo and loved it but couldn't afford any parts. Now in college I have an Arrma Outcast and have money for parts. The hobby is so much more fun than I remember!

I purchased a V2 Typhon, and it was a beast on 4S. I will be getting the V4 this weekend in Boise Idaho @ Hobby Town. I will get both the 4S and 6S batteries for it. Nice job on the track with it, and those flips scares the crap out of me, and I was amazed that nothing broke. Thanks for another awesome video.

This video is what sold me on the typhon. I went a different route. I bought the newest v3 mega 4x4 because its brushless ready and i wanted to build my own. Im running a chinese 4076 2000kv can with a 150a Esc running 4s and 6s and its crazy fast. I switched to the blx motor mount with the .8 mod slipper clutch and center drive shaft support. I had to add a wheelie bar because its out of control on 6s. Bash on!
That thing just flies so effortless. Looks like it would be plenty for most on 4S. Crazy air on 6S. I was hoping you were going to try clearing that gap! Great video!

These Arrmas are tanks, great torture test Vas. Wife cartwheeled her Senton 6s ,hit a big rock landed on its wheels and had a few scratches. Best channel around . Wife want me to get the Mojave , cant argue with that. Ha,ha.

I widened my Typhon with Kraton parts and added trenchers… it’s a blast to drive! Also added T-Bone Racing front and rear bumpers, plus the shock tower guards are a must for those exposed shocks. It’s prevented many breaks!

for the motor wires just slip another piece of heat shrink over the connector. then plug it in and shrink it over the connection to hold them together.
Great Video think I've found my self bought birthday present so quick and agile would be a great addition to my kraton dont know if i should buy this one or the 3s version I think the extra weight of the 6s version makes it more stable or am I wrong
Get the 6s Typhon Imho, it isn’t much more expensive and is a much tougher and better supported platform than the 3s. Remember, the 6s will only go as fast as you like, and is easy to de tune if that is required.

Hi, i'm new to the 1:8 scale hobby and currently have a 1:10 brushless sensored truggy. I dont see anny cogging on this typhon which is sensorless as i understand? I'm wondering if its really neccesary to get sensored for my next car which is going to be a 1:8 losi buggy. Is sensored worth the money and "neccesary" ? Thanks for the help in advance👍

Do these cars have reliability issues because I heard that arrma used cheap electronics and they didn’t last very well. Just wondering if that’s changed in the last 5 years
A lot has changed in 5 years, there are no reliability issues with the electrics. The only problem now is that radio isn't very good, but will be fixed soon, I'm sure.

I am just getting back into rc after a 30yr hiatus. I have 3 traxxas kits so far and was researching the typhon. Is it easy to bind that transmitter to the typhon?

I love the way it just hooks up after a jump, you would pin the throttle and it hunkers down and takes off, what a mini weapon!

No, no problems at all. All 1/8 buggies have the gear slot on the bottom, it's fine. 👍
