I think he's ambidextrous. Writes with his left but can play fine as right handed - a common feature of people who are ambidextrous. It seems completely impossible to be as good as Kavakos while playing on your non-dominant side, everything about his playing seems like he is playing on his dominant side, and this can be explained if he's ambidextrous.
