This video is four months old and the issues are still happening. What is a time frame of when they will be fixed? I'm at a point where I'm going to stop purchasing designs because I can't even remember what I've bought and have to keep going through all my downloads to see what I have.
Yes. There are still issues and we have reported all issues. That is all we can do. I have no control over what is happening at Silhouette or their websites. For any account issues or design store issues, you would need to contact Silhouette Support.
Fortunately, I've worked with computers since before there were desktops so apart from a small number of one-off occasions, I have saved my designs to my computer and backed up to an offline site. So I can at least work with the majority of the items I've purchased. But what is making me absolutely crazy is that there are changes in the way the Business Edition software is actually displaying/working. I cannot change my background mat color to white - which is a problem when it comes to trying to get a feel for color combinations. And the lack of information on progress is maddening. This is all happening right when all crafters who sell products are trying to get ready for fall/winter craft shows. Thank GOODNESS for your excellent advice in this posting. Otherwise, I would very likely have tried to do an upgrade and been in much worse shape. Thank you!
You are welcome. The actual mat background? There are 2 places to look.... 1. Make sure the Transparency is at 0% on the Page Setup Panel. 2. At the bottom of the Page Setup Panel on newer software is an area where it can be changed to multiple colors. Make sure that white is selected.
For me the actual, much larger issue, that nobody seems to be talking about, is that they have mixed up designs in the database. And it's been since May, and instead of closing the shop for a few days and fixing the issue, they're letting the issue get bigger by letting people buy designs that may or may not be the correct files. For example, you see a design you really like, of a baby elephant with a candle, but the description is "Background bubbles", unless you notice that, you think you're buying the baby elephant with the candle, but the designer who made the elephant won't get the money, the designer of the background bubbles get the money, and you get the background bubbles, except because it's linked to the wrong file it shows up as the baby elephant.
@@avaDesdemona yes, it's an issue as the company doing the web migration changed a lot of things that caused confusion on the backend. Silhouette Support is the only one that can fix any file issues. They will pass it on to the web developers to correct.

Silhouette "support" who took 4 weeks and never answered my question on whether or not the portrait 3 has a replaceable cutting strip ( it doesn't) and instead directed me to the replaceable cutting strip for the cameo 1-3, and took 3 weeks to understand that "I also bought the svg file for this design, but it's 0kb, and I need the svg file, can you please fix this." answering "But there's an svg file there." "yes, but it's 0kb, so it's an empty file." "yes, but it's right there." "yeah, but it's 0kb, have you tried opening the file yourself?" "no, but look, it's right there! Try downloading it again." DUDE! Also, the Auto Renew "button" on my subscription couldn't be unchecked, and support took 5 days to read my email requesting ending my subscription, renewing it in the meantime, and then took another week to give me a discount/refund on the new subscription, taking about another 3 emails back and forth. Of course now I don't even know if my subscription will auto renew because the new website doesn't tell me. I do love silhouette studio. Hands down, easiest to use software, I even bought the business package to have all features. But the support is just terrible, and honestly, I'll be happy when my current Premium subscription ends.
@@avaDesdemona I understand - Support stinks and doesn't know the right answers or how to do things. I have no control over any of it. I am not an employee of Silhouette. This is the path they've chosen to take and all I can do is continue to do what I've been doing since 2016, which is craft and teach users. There are some things I cannot fix like support or account issues.

I'm just pretty fed up with the bad communication they have going on, I have received two emails saying my account has been enabled (8th July and 11th July) but it's still not actually working, and I'm scared to try things out in case suddenly my 5.628 "downloaded" (in the library) designs are gone. (I am downloading them one by one off the website, but it'll take me a tiny little while *lol* I'm kicking myself because I had everything downloaded until I got a new computer and thought "Ah, I don't need to transfer all those designs, they're in the library and I never use the files on the computer..." famous last words. Save early save often!)
Doesn't matter what I do, the GST file once extracted still doesn't allow me to open them. I did everything you said and the file once extracted, opens up in the GST file, again!
You will need to direct download exactly as I show in the video where you commented. That is the only way right now as Silhouette is having issues with syncing direct to the library. You'll need to install the font directly on the computer - Download the font and then follow this to install directly. You will not be able to sync files to the library until the issues are fixed.
@seng9670 There isn't a button that specifically says "download" on the files. You go into your account - log in. On the left select downloads. On each file that shows up, click the photo and it will download.

Once logged in to the Silhouette Design Store, click the person icon in top right. On the side under Credits, it will show a credit balance. It has been reported that it does not show when those credits expire. They are aware. The site is not complete yet. However, it has also been reported that credits may not appear accurately. Once the website is fixed, I am told, they will review all accounts affected by credits and subscriptions.

Did you open the GST file in Silhouette using File > Open?
GST is an old Silhouette file and should open with File > Open.
I typed my email and password and it just stares at me when I hit enter! Gee whiz now what do I do?
My problem is that I bought 6 designs and 1 font and they don't even download. Do you have a troubleshooting for that?
