Even without it someone from outside of LoL community would probably hear about champions like Annie, Ahri, Miss Fortune or Teemo. Lee Sin is something hidden in fog of war.
Their lee: hits me with a q from a mile away flash kicks me into four people My lee: comes on lane, wardhops to 2 centimetres near the enemy, misses q and flashes lvl 7
tbh gripex doesn't stand out above average lee main, he's just a fanboy of the champion, he does literally all tricks every lee main know and can do even in lower elo
14:00 as a toplaner, this entire bit sounds like heaven on earth. Made me remember why I wanted to main top back in season 5, it was more or less the exact same role as mid, only being more seperated from the rest of the team. I liked the 1vs1 aspect you got in early game at that time and since midlane was super popular, it was easier to get to play toplane as the second 1vs1 lane when calling roles. I really miss those days where junglers dident get to decide which toplaner wins lane

I actually saw it once. We got wrecked by a smurf player in Plat 2. His name was only numbers but he had a 86% winrate on Lee sin on his 60 games he played thus far. Maybe was one of these Chinese players who moved to EU while world's were taking place. Insane mechanic.. We tried to look if we can do it.. I can't.. but maybe with a few month more Lee sin gameplay. :D
2:44 says everything wasn't weeb Lux, Yoomu's gunblade, Oriana, Wriggle's Lantern; they are all Toho reference that was in the game from the beginning. Riot was full-on weeb from the beginning. They just didn't realize they can go full-on weeb until they started.
I don't know who Tian is, but what about Insec? The guy who literally invented the move named after him: the insecs lol. An example if you don't know what I'm refering to (and/or live under a rock): Q > Ward - W > R - Flash > Q (Q the dude, ward hop in front of him, start the kick animation, flash behind the dude to kick him in your team, then Q again to follow him back to your team. This is known as a safe Flash insec).
Thanks for providing such detailed insight into each champion, particularly for Lee Sin since he is one of my favourite junglers. Each of your documentary feels like a well made movie. Keep up the good work! Definitely under-rated channel here in the League community.

"Lee Sin factor" was a season 2-4 thing mostly, and it reminds me how crazy it is that "renekton factor" has been a thing almost ever since he came out. I'd think he deserves a one of these
Exil I have to say thank you for these videos. I haven’t really kept up with the league community since season 5 and now only play occasional games with irl friends. most of favorite champions (poppy, galio, quinn, etc) were either reworked or completely forgotten so I fell out of the loop. All these sentimental memories are returning and just thank you for covering old content new players aren’t aware of. Thats all thanks dude
Just imagine how freaking cool it would be in the middle of "Annie" "Lucian" "Rengar" we saw a champion named CYBORG COWBOY hell yeah I would play the shit out of that champion
We accept Lee Sin although he is op because it really takes time and practice to master the champion. So if I get outplayed by a Lee Sin I am OK with it because it really needs skill to play and not just right click and spam q (i am looking at you master yi mains). Anyway I am glad that Bruce Lee made it to the game.
Yea at least he had to hit his Q not like Yi or Garen who just stupidly run at you full speed and smash you to death if they happen to get even 1 kill over you
While I ban him literally every single game, the only problem I have with him is how his ult has a mini-stun before it actually kicks you. I can press flash before the animation even starts but that stun simply ENSURES you get kicked (and don't get your flash off) in the direction he wants you to go. I appreciate the amount of skill that goes into playing a good Lee, and back then (when people were generally worse at the game) that stun might've been neccessary, but in current league it just feels plain cheap, reacting instantly and still getting punished, especially since, unless you're tanky you get oneshot.
@Blue Zenith Yes but frankly unlike malz/morde/ww that still doesn't get rid of the kick. So either I use my 2nd summoner with the cleanse/1300 gold qss or still get fked. Just because I can technically cleanse it doesn't mean it's a good choice. Especially coupled with the reaction time needed to cleanse the small root before the kick.
Ward-hop kick was first introduced almost a year earlier by lantyr who was the ahq jungler and Lee Sin mains already knew about it since there were a ton of videos about it. Insec just performed it at worlds a year later and that’s where the average player saw it the first time. Credit where it’s due, insec didn’t create or come up with the “insec”
I got one of your videos recommended from TH-cam, and I have to say, for once they did something good. Your content is always great and of really high quality.

More accurately: 'The most infamous Champion in League of Legends history.' He was unfightable, and that is not an overstatement. He stole your attack speed, slowed you, gained armor, gained lifesteal, gained a shield, had no mana resource issues and % MAX (not current) health damage on his displacement ultimate that also stunned you for the entire animation with an extremely low cooldown. On the OFF chance you could beat him or tried to retreat quickly... Didn't matter. Because he had two modes of mobility (three including Flash) and you could never match it. You fought on his terms or not at all. The League community also didn't help matters, with around 40% of players actively playing him and vehemently defending the champion they were carried by. Not carried with. Sprouting false claims of "Lee is bad in high ELO lul get gud" (despite single-handedly carrying games in the LCS and pretty consistent winrates across ALL ELOs) or "Lee is hard to use" (despite all of his abilities bar Q which could not be dodged if already in melee range being point and click). For comparison, it took one LCS game for Soraka and one LCS game for Akali to receive the equivalent to a permanent ban hammer, nerfing them to an unusable state, while their subsequent reworks were prioritized and rushed through. Lee dominated the meta for FOUR whole seasons before it caught up with him. That is how much pressure the League community had on Riot to not nerf the ever living hell out of Lee Sin, much to the dismay of everyone else. The best thing to come out of Lee Sin is that Riot no longer listens to players regarding balance. A double-edged sword. Some champions and bugs escape their notice for too long, champion reworks are rushed through with feedback ignored despite being failures (most notably Malzahar, Karma and immediate post-rework Akali). At the same time however, Champion popularity no longer influences whether a champion is subject to balance or not. And that has been a great thing, because it has stopped Riven, Zed, Yasuo, Zoe, Nidalee, Kassadin, Jax or whoever else that was objectively busted at one point or another. In spite of those players looking to preserve their next "Lee Sin."
Lee Sin is definitely that at the early game, but he kinda fell off in damage on mid-late game. And to be fair, he is quite balanced compared to the ither champions that Riot had released (looking at you Aphelios, Sylas, Samira, Zoe). He has clearly noticable strengths and weaknesses, and he really requires skill in order to be played, unlike other jungle (Yi right-clicking you to death even with 0 kills, Udyr being uncatchable even when 0/5, Rengar managing to one-shot you even when he's building bruiser).

Same thing with riven. idk why exactly you would like to have a few champs that can cancel their animation more or less whenever they want to and still deal their dmg and get their abilities on you while others have to wait until their animations are finished to cast another one...

Thank you for the video. As someone who played Lee Sin mostly throughout my League "career", he did have his fairshare of ups and downs. I've been playing since the start of season 2 (2011?) and only capped at Dia3 (I'm less competitive now and at a stable Gold1). Looking at this from an angle, it looks like Riot is setting up for the Prestige Skin for Lee this year (which I'm convinced it's a Christmas theme) and I hope they don't fail to deliver.

Same thing with riven. idk why exactly you would like to have a few champs that can cancel their animation more or less whenever they want to and still deal their dmg and get their abilities on you while others have to wait until their animations are finished to cast another one...
My anniversary with starting league is pretty close to my favorite champions release, imagine that!
Hearing his story put the biggest, dumbest smile on my face the entire way through. Thank you for telling us this story
So... you make high-quality content and post it very regularly, and I can't find time to finish editing my shit-tier videos xD How are you so good in this TH-cam game? Teach me mate :o
Lol. Well thanks for the nice words to be honest just a few years of experience + dedication to my craft and content + a supportive wife who knows that I just want to do better and work harder helps a ton
@@Exil22 Casual flex but ok lol
@@Exil22 Oh so that's what I was doing wrong... Well I need to propose to my girlfriend and perhaps I'll start making something decent after that xd But for real-huge fan! Keep up the good work :D

"maybe they should release traditional soraka"
cries in sleep paralysis.
The history of Elise would be really interesting when thinking about it
Oh my God, as a main Lee player for LAN, bro, that video is awesome, respect, you're a beast making content.
Thanks for this bro.
Sorry for my english haha.

Watching that Ghost kick was so satisfying
Me: always wants to play lee sin
*tries lee sin*
"im good"
I haven't played LoL in I think 6 or 7 years now. Alot of your videos hit the Nostalgia-Spot very hard and the productionvalue of your Documentaries is so good, that it makes me wanna try the game again after all these years.
The most memorable Lee Sin play for me would be MVP Ozone Dandy's Five man Kick. Was legendary asf.
Pentakick! Dandy god
Whenever people mention Strength of the Ages I put on some John Waite and cry :'(
Aah season 3, the season I started, I remember the feel of the map back then, it had that really nice feeling that I can't explain which the new map couldn't reproduce. It felt like an actual jungle. I miss the old days.
I live for these overly dramatic titles. 💖
these videos are so well made...listening to them at work. good job!
Lee sin is too hard for me
you have to hit the q
thats hard man
Ikr such a hard champion u have to hit Q. Thats why lee sin mains say hes the hardest champion in the game. Super hard champ no one can Play him without atleast a Masters in Geometry
@@aalzien722 agreed
Thank you for the video. As someone who played Lee Sin mostly throughout my League "career", he did have his fairshare of ups and downs. I've been playing since the start of season 2 (2011?) and only capped at Dia3 (I'm less competitive now and at a stable Gold1). Looking at this from an angle, it looks like Riot is setting up for the Prestige Skin for Lee this year (which I'm convinced it's a Christmas theme) and I hope they don't fail to deliver.
You are welcome!
30 seconds, lets go im here for you xoxo
Haha ty
I ward hopped using smart cast to this video. Pog.
lol
