I actually did need this refresher, whenever i hear a game lost a lot of players i immediately assume is its community gone? No im just an idiot, the community is still alive just not on the game at the moment, its an objective and they completed it so they moved on to share their love of it on other platforms, thank you very much for this
There are also a lot of people waiting for the game to go on sale. The original price tag is quite expensive, although price is normal for a new release.
Journalists: Meanwhile, Concord only lost less than 700 players since releases. Now we see which game is actually better. Big win for modern audiences.
Dying? People just beat the game, they probably come back to it. I have hard time playing, seems like something is messed up with shaders. I have to reload it. Sometimes it works. Get update and it breaks. I think I have that shitty CPU with instability. 50% time works perfect. 50% time its buggy.
Dying? IT'S A STORY GAME...wtf ppl acting like you log in and play with homies 😂it don't take long to beat and unless you care about the wukong stance, you're probably not going to beat it like 4 times
Also a "Dead game" is one that's UNPLAYABLE due to a lack of people playing it. You don't need any other players to play wukong 😂 Tell this kids parents to drop him on his feet next time.
Bro can’t read. “232,000 of them are overwhelmingly positive” that’s recent reviews, not how many reviews are positive 🤦♂️. There’s 675,000 positive reviews.
Eh? 600k odd reveiws of all time are overwhelmingly positive. 200k odd recent reviews are OP. What you said, that 200k of the 600k being op was incorrect.
If I'm correct "overwhelmingly positive" means 90% or more evaluations are positive ones, meaning that out of 674k evaluation there's at least 600k of them that are positives. That is actually amazingly good
For me is because it’s basically a souls like game But it looks beautiful I just don’t have the patience’s to fight a giant mother Russian ass bear that sets everything on fire while I’m 1 hit away from killing him like 10 times in a row
It’s pretty great, though after a few playthoughs (which are pretty short) there’s no further progression or gear upgrades, so it has *some* replay ability but not a lot. What it needs is a DLC or two.
As someone who beat the game and unlocked the wukong stance that you get after beating it 4 times with the perfect ending i got bored ill go back to it and do it again eventually. It was one of the most thrilling and exciting games I've played in most recent years. The dlc release will only bring more of the players back to it who got drowned out from completing it to the extreme like me. Its a single player game with great replayability for a certain amount of time. after that you get bored after finishing everything and not wanting to just start completely over again right away.
People continue to play games like COD or Destiny 2, knowing how bad both those games are right now. I wouldn't even place much importance on recurring player count. Because people are stupid.😂
And odds are, you're going to keep coming back to that 10/10 movie over the years and keep recommending it to others, while the second the bloated show ends, it will feel like an empty waste of time.
If the game is multiplayer, I'd laugh for sure. But I still laughed for the idiots that think it's dying. They already got their money. The death of this game doesn't mean the death of the company unlike most games
Same happened few months after Elden Ring people were trying to say it’s a dead game but it’s a single player game unless you summon your friends or a random to help with a boss
I played it. Got every achievement and was i was fulfilled and had an amazing experience. I will replay it in a few years or when i feel i want to go back
And here’s the thing that multiplayer games don’t understand is that the multiplayer games are dedicated on a server so if those servers are done, that means you can’t play them no more while single player games you could just play it over and over. Kinda like how I play on the PlayStation two called desert storm two.
Staying power is important for single player too, in advertising word of mouth is more effective than any other advertising so when people aren't playing they also aren't talking about it. The game did fine but it's life cycle is short comparatively.
So a similar analogy is they would rather have showrunners extend a tv series rather than delivering a really good 1 to 2 seasons with a fully finished storyline
Some of the most fun I’ve had on a game in awhile. My first play through took me over 100 hours to beat the game. I struggled with some bosses but I also explored every corner and took my sweat time. Did secret ending of course. But my second playthrough was just fun. Having my different builds and melting bosses was so much fun. Did 2 true endings, second play through took me somewhere between 15-20 hours. Was gonna do a third playthrough but decided I’m gonna start playing more cod to get ready for bo6. Got the plat trophy too
It's not just single player games, I see people these days say a game is dead even if it consistently has 40k active players 😂 Dead used to mean utterly unplayable or abandoned, now it just means it lost 1 player.
Have you completed Black Myth Wukong? If you have, what game are you into now?

Yeah pretty much, take Skeiro for example a GOTY hit that didn’t get dlc and everyone stop playing after beating it the 3rd or 4th time.
@@JonGould-yd8yw bro I must have finished around 95% of Hogwarts Legacy in a week and never played it again. It was really fun but I rarely ever replay a single-player game.
I play it every year I’m keeping it alive
I’m still playing through the game and it’s only cuz I have a schedule of 3 games on a rotation
It’s meant to be beat and then put down until you either wanna try a challenge run or do ng+ or a dlc releases
I would’ve finished it by now if not for my schedule
I actually did need this refresher, whenever i hear a game lost a lot of players i immediately assume is its community gone? No im just an idiot, the community is still alive just not on the game at the moment, its an objective and they completed it so they moved on to share their love of it on other platforms, thank you very much for this
There are also a lot of people waiting for the game to go on sale. The original price tag is quite expensive, although price is normal for a new release.
People loved it so much they completed it!
Journalists: Meanwhile, Concord only lost less than 700 players since releases. Now we see which game is actually better. Big win for modern audiences.
IGN 10/10
Dying? People just beat the game, they probably come back to it. I have hard time playing, seems like something is messed up with shaders. I have to reload it. Sometimes it works. Get update and it breaks. I think I have that shitty CPU with instability. 50% time works perfect. 50% time its buggy.
Sounds like a great 70 dollar game 😂
What's your CPU? I heard that if you use Intel 13th or 14th gen CPUs you can have huge problems
@@Brunopatunoit is a great game, he just has a computer that runs badly
@Pizzadude92002 literally I have a mid tier system and run everything high with reshaders and all that extra stuff on😂
@@Brunopatunoit is
Loving it wukong is the best game I've played for a LONG TIME
Dying? IT'S A STORY GAME...wtf ppl acting like you log in and play with homies 😂it don't take long to beat and unless you care about the wukong stance, you're probably not going to beat it like 4 times
Oh my God! People beat a single player game and then went on to play other games!! That's terrible! Give it a battle pass and loot boxes immediately.
A single-player game can never die because it only supports one player!
Also a "Dead game" is one that's UNPLAYABLE due to a lack of people playing it.
You don't need any other players to play wukong 😂
Tell this kids parents to drop him on his feet next time.
Strange how eldin ring is fine.
Yet when black myth wukong is doing bad its because of f2p games...
"You can borrow my copy of Black Myth Wakong when you pry it from my cold dead fingers." Something I said to one of my coworkers lol
He literally has the screen shot of the number you fvcking idiot man. I hate idiots like you
If I'm correct "overwhelmingly positive" means 90% or more evaluations are positive ones, meaning that out of 674k evaluation there's at least 600k of them that are positives. That is actually amazingly good
@leeroy2553 You aren't correct, it actually is 95% positive reviews, only the best of the best get overwhelmingly positive on Steam
For me is because it’s basically a souls like game
But it looks beautiful I just don’t have the patience’s to fight a giant mother Russian ass bear that sets everything on fire while I’m 1 hit away from killing him like 10 times in a row
fyi u can always get the vessel from the secret area of each chapter, helps alot against the area bosses.
It’s pretty great, though after a few playthoughs (which are pretty short) there’s no further progression or gear upgrades, so it has *some* replay ability but not a lot. What it needs is a DLC or two.
No one said either GOW game “died” a month in because people realized it couldn’t die as a single player. Why is this argument being used on Wukong?
Yeah it lost 80% of it players because they fucking ended the game.
That is not how steam reviews work
Bcoz 80% don't have good GPU to run Black myth 🗣️
As someone who beat the game and unlocked the wukong stance that you get after beating it 4 times with the perfect ending i got bored ill go back to it and do it again eventually. It was one of the most thrilling and exciting games I've played in most recent years. The dlc release will only bring more of the players back to it who got drowned out from completing it to the extreme like me. Its a single player game with great replayability for a certain amount of time. after that you get bored after finishing everything and not wanting to just start completely over again right away.
So true, see a lot of people doing that for DQ3 HD-2D. Game just came out and is doing well for being a niche (in the west) release.
People continue to play games like COD or Destiny 2, knowing how bad both those games are right now. I wouldn't even place much importance on recurring player count. Because people are stupid.😂
It made well over a billion in sales lol
The 232k reviews were posted in the last 30 days of when you grabbed the numbers, not that 232k of the 600-something k were positive
The game was so fun man I finished it 5 times and platinumed it, it was so wholesome and lovely to play.
20 MILLION HOLY FUCK THATS HUGE FOR A GAME LIKE THIS
That commenter lost 80% of his brain
Like a billion Asians over there so the stats are inflated 😭 Elden Ring is king
lil broski have that Fortnite pfp ofc he wouldn’t know the difference between live service and single player games
20 million copies is crazy. they are absolutely rolling in dough.
They are releasing physical copy
Me when the single player game with a story that ends has a player base that stops playing once the story ends
Same as calling some ongoing tv series thats bloated better than a 10/10 movie that youve watched only once or twice
And odds are, you're going to keep coming back to that 10/10 movie over the years and keep recommending it to others, while the second the bloated show ends, it will feel like an empty waste of time.
Best metric to track single player game quality is percentage of player base that got the “beat the game” achievement
Bro read a youtube comment like he was reading stream chat lmao
One of the few games I have ever gotten a platinum trophy on. That game was such an amazing experience.
people just want to hate on it. Im sure they were paid off by IGN.
A relevant statistic is how many of those purchases completed the game, at least base story
The way this was initially framed it looked like your guy was was walking into the light and your face was the light lol
Just because people arent playing it. Doesnt mean its dead.
theyre just sleeping
The 232k reviews you mentioned are recent reviews, not overwhelming positive reviews. The number for that is probably way higher
Bro said "You guys think numbers matter? Ok bet"
Then spits facts
If the game is multiplayer, I'd laugh for sure.
But I still laughed for the idiots that think it's dying.
They already got their money. The death of this game doesn't mean the death of the company unlike most games
Its a single player game longstanding numbers mean nothing
Same happened few months after Elden Ring people were trying to say it’s a dead game but it’s a single player game unless you summon your friends or a random to help with a boss
I played it. Got every achievement and was i was fulfilled and had an amazing experience. I will replay it in a few years or when i feel i want to go back
And here’s the thing that multiplayer games don’t understand is that the multiplayer games are dedicated on a server so if those servers are done, that means you can’t play them no more while single player games you could just play it over and over. Kinda like how I play on the PlayStation two called desert storm two.
People forget that the first games were meant to be playable movies essentially.
Staying power is important for single player too, in advertising word of mouth is more effective than any other advertising so when people aren't playing they also aren't talking about it. The game did fine but it's life cycle is short comparatively.
Some people would now say it's 95% dead.
Got the plat trophy too
Sorry 4 yap
People are so quick to call a game dead, it's like I have to spend every waking hour of life on a game when I have other games I want to play
Those 80% have finished the game and is waiting for DLC. The other 20% is still stuck at the blood drinking tiger.
It's not just single player games, I see people these days say a game is dead even if it consistently has 40k active players 😂 Dead used to mean utterly unplayable or abandoned, now it just means it lost 1 player.
completed the game. all 81 trophies on steam. Worst game ive played in 2024. Deleted it
Calling people stupid while not being able to understand steam reviews 💀
