    Nicely done wearing gloves is great especially on camera. It shows people how clean and professional you are. I also wear gloves while cutting & packaging my soaps.

      Honestly the biggest thing is if you wear gloves you won't end up leaving any fibers or fingerprints behind - clothing fibers are a PAIN when handling soap.

    Wow, beautiful packaging. I just recently started making soaps for fun as a new hobby. Maybe I will check if the dollar store has little bags like that for if I ever give someone a soap - makes it seem extra special :)

      @h2t26 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also started making it as a hobby, so much fun! I gave some out to, the thing I learned and you need to look into. Even if you don't sell your soap and even if that person gives it to someone else, if someone has a bad reaction or is injured using something you made you can be held accountable and sued.

    Thank you for your video! ❤️ I am new to soap making and very eager to learn!
    Question- if you steam after you cut, do you pack and label before curing? Does this cause issues with mold or oils going rancid? It is my understanding that curing takes between 4-6 weeks ( Castillete soap about 6-12 months) of course depending on the oils. I guess that’s why you keep a record of the weight of your soap.

  • @h2t26
    @h2t26 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So many different packaging options, so hard to pick. Also some people leave bad reviews just cause of packaging. I saw something similar and almost bought it but idk. It's odd that picking that is harder then picking what soap I want to make.

    Since your soap is not visible in the bag, do you have a spare bar for display? (I suppose this question only applies if you sell in person and doesnt apply if you only sell online)

    • @charmedhandmade

      For cold process, I wait until it's cured (4-6 weeks), if it's melt and pour, I usually wait about 3 days
