I came across one of these in a product listing while looking for a new keyboard and immediately noticed one thing - it doesn't seem to be ambidextrous. The trackball is on the left side and I suppose is intended to be moved with the thumb, but that will work only if the mouse is in the right hand. Those of us who use the mouse left-handed would have to use our left little finger, which may or may not work depending on how strong it is. I can actually use a mouse in either hand, I just prefer the left, but people who have limited or no movement in their right hand could have a hard time with one of these. I checked out a couple of videos hoping that maybe this mouse could be set up for either hand but it doesn't look it can. That's something to consider if you need to use a mouse left-handed.
The only lag I notice is when I need to wake up the computer. First movements wake up the mouse and then further movements wake up the computer. Probably wouldn't happen if I used the power switch on the bottom of the trackball when I left it, but I don't do that. During normal use, though, I don't notice any lag. Thanks for asking.
Does the M575 Have Drag Capability, I use Dual Monitors with a LAP TOP for work, but I cannot figure out how to drag a screen from my main DOC to my secondary Doc, other than that I LOVE the M575 if anyone can share, I would appreciate it! Thanks
I drag windows around all the time. I click on the bar at the top of the window I want to drag and then hold the left button down while I move it with the trackball. Hope you already got this figured out.
I really like it. Love the trackball and the fact I don't have to chase a mouse all over my desk. The trackball also fits my hand well and doesn't leave my hand and arm hurting after long sessions on the computer. The ability to use it on two different computers by just pushing the button on the bottom of the device is handy.
Reviews are useless for the most part - you say the ball on the M575 is Not As Smooth as your old, tried and true' M570; I just watched another reviewer who said the M575 ball was Much smoother than the M570! Regardless, I'm hoping to find a black friday deal on either one of these mice
I don't know about useless, but they are definitely based solely on the reviewers' opinion unless it's something more scientific like Consumer Reports or the like. I love the M575...just like I loved the trackball I replaced with it.
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for a quick reply. I've wrestled with the M570 for so many years so I'm wanting an upgrade - even looking at non-logi brands. Please tell me this one thing I've never been clear on - when you pop the ball out, I see the large opening I've assumed was the laser optical sensor thing and then there are those 3 tiny 'nodes' that the ball rests on. Are those 3 little contact points, in fact, stationary or are they roller bearings that we should be oiling? Thanks man
Thanks for Telling About That your Logitech Mouse on (M575)
You're welcome. Glad you found it helpful.

You're right. I think it would be a challenge to use it with your left hand.
Is there any lag when using bluetooth only for the connection?

Now that you have used it for a while, how’s your experience with m575? Thanks!

They are just plastic bumps that the ball rests on. They can't move.
THAT WAS NOT VERY HELPFUL I WANTED TO KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE BUTTONS
Sorry I didn't answer your question. I hope you figured it out.
