    I have watched mini channels on YT for a very long time and although there are many creative miniaturists in various categories, there are very few hands-on miniaturists on YT, (three of them are men) that I consider top-of-the-line, you and the creator of the 144 scale are included with these top-of-the-line artisans. You're so skillfull, imaginative, and have pure creativity, while inspiring others to actually start this beautiful form of art. Never change. Thank you for sharing your hand-made beautuful builds. I can watch them over and over again! ❤

      Thank you so much! Lots of people make minis using polystyrene plastic from the hobby store. I wanted to see what I could do with an oatmeal lid. I love how it turned out! The glue really helped add a convincing texture.

      For this type of video, I enjoy no voiceover bc you watch and wonder what I'm doing with something like googly eyes, then you see they're drawer pulls and you're 😲
      I'm really excited for the Gryffindor Common Room because I'm making all of that from scratch as well (aside from some lamps, perhaps). That whole project will have voiceover. I will probably do a start to finish reveal video with none though.

    I’m 6 minutes in and I had to pause so I could get on my tablet and comment. I love this, and love how you came up with the door locks and the drawer pulls. I love everything about this. I think it’s so much more fun to figure out how to make something instead of buy it. You give inspire me so much.

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. I got the idea for making the lock from miniaturists who use styrene plastic for crafting. An oatmeal lid was a good enough substitute.
      If you look closely at the drawer pulls, I accidentally melted them a little 😬 I dried the paint with my heat gun and wasn't paying attention. Just a couple extra seconds deformed them a bit. Nothing too noticeable!

    Oh my Gawd…..this is such a good idea. My husband is a huge Spider-Man fan and has collected those comic books since high school. (He’s 57 now and still gets his comic books every month.) I’m totally gonna do this for him to put in his comic book room but I wanna make a closet with a door that opens and has the suit hanging in there. (Not sure how to pull that off but I’m gonna give it a try. Thanks for the wonderful idea!!!

    • @queencityminis
      @queencityminis  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You can do it! Making the door is the hardest part (and it's really not that hard). Adding a closet behind it is no worries. The suit...Textile is not my medium, but a hanging suit shouldn't be too bad.

    This is amazing. I am amazed at your skills at turning bits into something. I appreciate how you are perfect with the imperfections of your amazing creations. Your ideas make everything doable. We don't need to spend a fortune on printers, machines, cutters and other expensive things.
    I've got a box on the shelf and any bits and bobs that look interesting go right in there for later use.
    The only things I purchased are the angle shears, good tweezers with pointy ends, pointy small scissors, and some tiny glass items because I'm doing a laboratory in my house and think they will be fun.
    Thanks for filming even those tiny insignificant things like power points... I hope my rooms turn out half as good as this!

      Thank you so much! I couldn't agree more. You can make minis from very simple materials and methods and still make something great. I hope you enjoy making your project :) I made an abandoned miniature lab in a book with "slides" on the desk a from plastic and a little box to hold the slides. Maybe that would work with your project.
