Where It All Began! Building A Miniature World From Antique Rubbish!

- This week we bring you a special 30 thousand subscribers film. We show the whole process of building a miniature world from objects we have found mudlarking over the last 5 years. Mudlarking is the hobby of looking for lost objects in Victorian rubbish dumps, river foreshores and beaches. We find doll pieces and toys as well as scraps of useful metal and wood and work them into tiny dolls house dioramas. We also go back to the beginning of this channel which actually started on our other Mudlarking channel! Thank you all so much for the wonderful support! Come with us on a journey to our tiny world!
If you would like to see us finding some of the things we use pop over to our other channel "Mudlarking With Kit + Caboodlers" - / @mudlarkingwithkitcabo...

Congratulations Fleur and Kate on 30 k subs. Believe it or not I remember when you found the painted wood you made into a cabinet. I also remember most of materials you put into making furniture, fireplace, dishes, cooking utensils and other things. I am one of the original subscribers. I started watching because I follow you and 14 others in Mudlarking. I am 73 yrs old and still enjoy watching you two find and make all things miniature. Thank you both for letting us be part of your adventure.
I have never had so much fun. As I am 73, I have found my happiness and gitty sense again with this recent subscription. Let the world turn as it may because we have these two to help us through.
It's no miracle ppl watched your earlier, so called lesser quality videos. It's because of YOU two. Never change xx❤

I couldn't agree more, Precious. : )
You guys should be very proud of yourselves. You've done a remarkable job. Taking nothing and turning it into something fabulous. I've been watching both of your channels. Enjoying both of them very much. I don't usually comment but every once in awhile I do. I love the relationship that you have with each other. It's easy to tell how much you guys love each other and you work so well together. The love and excitement you guys have creating is easy felt by those of us watching. You guys are very very creative. I just wanted you to know how much joy you bring to your audience. I even find myself looking forward to see the outfit you will wear next Kate. You always look so pretty. Your mom is always beautiful as well. Thank you so much for all your hard work that doesn't seem hard when you're doing it. Bless you and your family. Can't wait for your next adventure and build.

Kate and Fleur, Congratulations on 30K!!!! So deserving! I absolutely love seeing Sunny and especially hearing him purring!!!!❤
I loved Sunny's blep at the end. He's such a sweetheart.

I love you two and all of the chattering between you both. It reminds me of my mom and I.
I love everything miniature. This channel brings so much joy! Thank you for all of the hard work you put in with both of your channels. 🎉 ❤🎉❤
Yay you!!!🎉🥰 If ever you feel unsure that you can make anything, just look back at the creativity you both possessed in making this little kitchen. This is hands down my favourite room that you have made. I love them all of course, but the processes in that amazing room are the uploads I have watched multiple times! 🫶
me too i adore that kitchen!
The editing you did to put this together for us must have been laborious. Thanks so much. So appreciated.
1:06:55 Please don’t be embarrassed of your early work! We’ve loved watching you and it brings back fond memories. 😊❤ You weren’t going for perfect, anyway. You were reusing the found objects and giving them a purpose again. The most important parts of all of these videos are your memories you’ve made together! 🥰
You both are delightful to watch and listen to
This was so much fun, watching all of this again! I remember I couldn't wait until the next time you made something for the dollhouse. It was awesome watching all the things you made from your finds and how well you made all those finds into every day items for your little house . This has to be one of the most charming dollhouses ever! You are both so creative and I hope there will be more of these types of videos in the future. Thank you for compiling all of these into one amazing video! Congratulations on reaching 30,000!
I agree I miss those earlier videos of the mudlarking house.
I get absolutely sooo excited when I see you ladies have uploaded a new video!!! I love how relaxed and mesmerized I feel when watching them! Thank you so much! I'm so amazed how creative you both are!! Would love to spend a day enjoying your company and getting creative!! Give Sonny some luvins for me!! (BTW...I just LOVE that green colored nail polish!!😊)
I’m going to put in my vote for working on the mudlarking house. Those films are my favorites 😊. But I’ll watch anything you post!
*AS* you're saying 'it's really raining here in England' and 'gosh you really can hear the rain ' ; there is a raging rainstorm sounding like it's trying it's very best to unseat my bedroom window from its frame!
Congratulations Ladies ❤🎉🎉🎉 So happy for you both. Your channels are my favorites to watch. Thank you for sharing all your treasured finds and how so many pieces have found their way into your doll house which share so many stories of where there were found. 😊
I can just see the Borrowers moving straight into your doll’s house. Love it.
Oh my goodness. I just finished reading a gift set of those books and have passed them on to my 3 Grandchildren. I am so happy I didn't know about them until Fluer and Kate started making a world for them. Incredible fun at 65. We have so many opportunities for fun adventure in our world. Fluer and Family just happen to be some of our Favorite Teachers. Oh how we Love them all. Barb in Oklahoma.
i can’t believe these clips were so long ago. I love them and think they are charming. I love Bitsy, Norma, and Edward, the copper nail tree, and everything else. You got me back into dolls and miniatures after 20 years. Never stop ❤
Congratulations on reaching 30,000 🎉. I have been watching you lovely ladies since the beginning. The creativity you put into everything you do still amazes me. Much love from Newfoundland Canada 🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Watching you make things from mudlarked things was my favourite thing. I’ve missed it so much. It reminds me of what I used to do when I was young. The stove was my favourite.
Absolutely addicted, so much better than shiny store bought furniture,
I love watching your imaginations bring found items to LIFE! Incredible.
The oven is awesome and shows creative genious. The table, in its simplicity, is beautiful. Truly inspiring.
Evey film is pure enjoyment, and an appearance by Sunny (or any parts thereof) is a treat!😻😻😻😸
Oh, I remember all of your videos. I go back and watch them regularly.
Congratulations on reaching 30K followers ! .Thank you so much for all the hard work you both put in to make these video's ,it's so appreciated. Please don't apologise for early makes ,we love them all
Tie your little tiny bows around the tines of a fork (or that electrical widget you found). Wrap the thread around two tines, slip the tie between the tines and tighten, then slip it off the end of the fork😊. I love the 🥾!
Wow 30K Congratulations Fleur and Kate! So well deserved. This video was so much fun to watch. I love all your little sniggers and giggles at your work and every time Sunny made an appearance and supervised. I remember nearly all of your brilliant creations. Loved the cot and the birdcage! Thank you for sharing ❤
Congratulations on 30k 🎉 So well deserved. I find everything you do fascinating. The imagination it takes to see everyday items in the bits and pieces you find. Thinking outside the box seems to be your forte! 😊
Congratulations on reaching 30.000!
Kate, I love the shoes you made, both of you everything you made is amazing and very beautiful! 😍 ❤
Fleur and Kate, you both brighten my days with your miniature videos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 😊😊
Congratulations love this channel as well as the mudlarking one…..you ladies are wonderful and make my day when you come on!
My very favorite kitchen!!!
My best sculpting tools... a spoon, fork, knife, end of a paint brush. Tooth brush gives good texture , both ends, an old scraper, one of those which have holes in them, and my fingers, most important.❤❤❤😂😂😂
I absolutely love watching you girls! So creative.from USA
OhhhhmyyyyGOSSSHHH!!! SUPERB!!
Thank you for sharing!!!!
I can imagine fairies 🧚🏻 making all of these important pieces of furniture and art for their families 🧚🏻💕🧚🏻

Congratulations!!! I have to say I definitely enjoy the films where you create items from your mudlarking finds the best. Thank you for hours of entertainment. ❤
I’m glad u can have fun talking and joking about the dolls long arms, but u have done an absolutely incredible job with what you have created here. Not just that, doing this together is such a bonding experience. You’ve got something very special going on here.
Очень всё понравилось ,вы просто феи ,и вы отличная команда!Природа и окружение вокруг супер!
I adored reminiscing your channel. The 1st house is my most favorite. You were truly very creative with your finds. This made me so happy. Truly.
Congratulations on reaching 30K subscribers, Fleur and Kate! 🥳 I love your amazing world of miniatures and your endless creativity. Your channel is so cosy with such a calming quality. You have the most incredible mother/daughter relationship which feels like a big warm hug. 🥰 I'm so glad I found you lovely ladies and I'm sending you lots of love. 🙏❤️ With best wishes, Suzanne xx
I loved the first videos where you made odd things you found into recognisable items for your dolls house probably more than anything due to the naivety of it. I found it so compelling watching you both take a piece of scrape nothing and turn it into a wonderful something . I loved reliving the moments with you, keep it going giving us all inspiration and creativity, thus showing us that new is not always the way to go ❤
I first saw your videos about 3 years ago when you were often hunting for treasures in the old apple orchard dump. I was hooked by the joy you both showed whenever you found something interesting. I'd never heard of mudlarking until I found your channel. Now that is a "bucket list" activity for me! I also like your cinematography, and beautiful nature shots. I very much like your early work, no reason to be embarrassed about where from you start!😄
With the wonderful, creative and very inventive craft you do, it is no surprise that you have achieved 30k subs. This video is an enjoyable memory trip of those fun mudlarking outings and crafting sessions which have given us such pleasure these past 5 years. Thank you so much, hope all the family are fully recovered from the various health issues. And Kate have you got a new car?
Gosh I've been watching for a long time but it doesn't feel that way. ❤
Congratulations ladies so well deserved. Your imagination is incredible and you bring so much joy to your subs. ❤🧡💛
I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I had never heard of mudlarking before, but I think I would enjoy looking for little items of "treasure". How wonderful to share time with each other doing something you both love. These memories will never be forgotten. Cheers Robyn ❤😊
Congratulations 👍
Congratulations on 30,000! You two are such a joy to watch. Love seeing your creative ideas coming to life.
Какая вы умничка, как мне нравятся все ваши работы. Восторг!!
Congratulations:) This channel is one of my most favorites among the channels I follow. You are great inspiration and I love your taste:) Looking forward to new videos on your new miniature adventures with old materials.

SHE DID IT WITH THE SLATE PENCIL . . . that's what I believe the video shows during the slate's making. Congratulations Fleur and Kate on your continued success. Your miniatures are delightfully imaginative and creative. Loved this video of how your 'finds' are given a new lease on life in your dollhouse world. (Ann, Canada)
That was so wonderful going back to the beginning of your miniature journey and 30k subscribers agree, we love it ! So many great ideas between the two of you, it has to be difficult which to choose first. You both get such joy together making tiny furniture, patching dolls and setting all the little treasures in place. I'm also 73 and I really enjoy both of your channels and going along on your adventures. Thank you so much for sharing the joy ! Love and hugs, 🥰🥰 xx Loved Sunny cats exhausted look 😅
Какой интересный канал !Сколько у вас фантазии Супер !⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘
My cat Kiki is always in the middle of everything that I am doing. Or knocking stuff off of tables. I love it.
I absolutely LOVE the mudlarking house. Please finish this one. I came to your channel as a dolls house person (collector, I mean - I'm not 5 inches tall!), and it immediately became my favourite miniatures channel. (It also got me into mudlarking videos.) Your channel is a true treasure, a little refuge in the big bad world. Congratulations on 30,000. You deserve it.
Wow, what a nice trip down memory lane. Love your earlier work
I like your video very much and i like how youve grown in both crafting and in making videos. Of course i love any video which has Sunny as a comic relief.
Congrats! We enjoy your peaceful, joyful stories!❤
Watched this film again! I so enjoy watching you create items for a house out of scraps you have found lying about. I think I prefer your homemade items to the expensive store bought items. Thank you again for the hours of entertainment 💜
I enjoyed this so much. Thank you.
Oo I forgot, nails and screws, knitting needles, anything that makes a mark, and for rolling out stuff, if u have not got a rolling pin, use a glass bottle, and in pottery I used different thickness of dowels to get different thickness of clay when rolling out ..keep crafting.. your amazing.❤❤❤❤
Your kitty loves you so much!!! You have such an imagination and skill. I admire you. So adorable.
Thank you Fleur & Kate, you have brought so much joy and inspiration, this video displays that perfectly.
It's no surprise that 30,000 people have subscribed, your videos are a haven of talent and gentle calm - Gorgeous Sonny cat is the cherry on top!
I remember being inspired by the stove, love it! and ordered some of the light balls! Your videos are such a treat 😊
Congratulations. Everything you ladies do is just enchanting. I love the old films as well. Please keep doing this one for a while. I love seeing you make things.
Whoo Hoo! You hit 30,000 subs! Congratulations
I’m always telling my husband…..we sometimes have to use what we have on hand to make things work. Sometimes….actually most times, we can’t just go out and get the actual item we need. You use what you have to make whatever work. Most times it’s just fine! You two are really very inventive! I enjoy it so much!! ❤️
Years ago I made a little store out of a drawer. I made vegetables, eggs, meat, chicken, cheese, etc. out of clay. I happened upon a miniature brass cash register. Then bought miniature money, including coins. I found a miniature antique clock too. I have a bubble gum machine, a cigar store Indian, a galvanized tub with miniature Coca Cola bottles. I saw broken car window glass on the ground and scooped it up. It’s not sharp and looks like glass for my tub of soda pops. A clear plastic case with a rounded front once held a watch)looks like a display case. Now it holds the meats and cheeses. Anyway, some things were purchased but most were made. I hope future generations in my family will enjoy my little store. I made it in honor of my Grandparents little store. Great memories. I enjoy all of you Mudlarkers. I love all of your work compiling bits and pieces. We are definitely kindred spirits. Greetings from West Tennessee.
Congratulations!!! This is one of my favorite houses you two have done.
My friend went mudlarking a few months ago and they found a human femur, had to get the police in and it turned out to be recent so there needs to be an inquest. Then a seagull voided itself all over her rucksack. Then they went to a pub for dinner to get over all the drama and the kitchen went on fire, like.properly on fire. Luckily it hasn't put her off though, although she is hoping next time is less dramatic.
When will it be a movie? :)
Congratulations - you have mastered the art of turning rubbish into an adorable work of art. I love the relaxing music in the background combined with your lovely stories. An hour well spent. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Congratulations!!!! 😊
So much "something, something" 🤗👍
Congratulations on 30,000 subscribers Fleur and Kate. I'm still kind of new to your miniature channel, but it's really interesting to see your creativity in making all the different things for the doll's houses, as well as making the dolls themselves. I love Sunny Cat, too; he's such a sweetheart, and you're so patient with him. Greetings and best wishes to you both from here in the Tar Heel state of North Carolina. 💙
I loved seeing Leo come together! I also think the stop motion Christmas decorating video was absolutely charming!
Always a pleasure watching you two❤😊
I think your mudlark dolls house is museum or art gallery worthy. It should be on display somewhere.
Wonderful job ❤
Congratulations on 30,000 , you deserve many more. Hope your keeping better and your luck has turned. A delightfully long episode.
I can’t begin to express my thoughts, feelings, and appreciation for what you do for me and all the world. My heart sings with giggles. Never give up this desire to create joy in the world like this. Irreplaceable. Let all the world go on as it may, just knowing that you two exist in it is a blessing and miracle.
I love both of your channels . Congratulations on reaching 30,000. You inspire me.
I love your imagination in crafting the tiny pieces for your miniature kitchen! So very sweet when completed.
You two are just delightful to listen to. Thank you for the bright spot in my day
This is the first time your channel has been suggested to me on TH-cam. My plans for a disciplined morning went right out the window! I absolutely love what you do!! I'm fascinated with vintage treasures and have loved miniatures my whole life! (66 yrs old) I have never heard of this mud word you're saying here, but plan to rectify that in minutes! 😉
You have a huge new fan in America! Thank you for your videos! 🙏
I remember watching those earlier videos. Fun to go down memory lane again. Your work is amazing. Please continue to share with us. It is appreciated 😀
Congratulations! I adore the Mudlarking Channel and was so happy when you started one about miniatures! Wishing you both much success and happiness!
