The REST button is here for 2009 cars as well, starting from 2010 they switched to ALL from the factory and moved the heated seat controls up on there. (For NA markets at least)

Nice video bro!!! I just bought a bmw 328i 2007 and I can't wait to use this feature for the cold winter in Canada. Do you ave any idea if using this option daily will drain the battery?
Wondering if this will work to help cool the car down after some hot laps around the neighborhood... Seems logical, considering the water pump keeps running and pulling heat away from the coolant. Am I crazy for thinking this?

Could you do one or give advice on control module's that fault or fail, im hearing its fairly common.
My rear window, rear wiper motor and sprayer plus headlight sprayer washers and the windscreen wiper sequence that slows the wiper speed down when u come to a stop?
People say its a module in the floorwell that gets wet but thats only the one for the windows,
This annoying issue occurred during icy conditions, i wont bring it to bmw and haven't found a mechanic that even slightly knows what im on about,,, thanks

billy mccabe BMW changed that button to the "ALL" button which they changed the functionality. But you could code the new cars to do what this does
Thanks that's good to know. I'm shopping for an e90 now so I'm trying to figure out all the differences. I have another question if you don't mind, what is the difference between the 328 and 330?
billy mccabe sure thing - 330 will have more of the 335i options already included vs the 328, so if you're not into the whole speed thing and want those amenities, then 330 all the way

The Rest button will only work if your coolant is over 70 degrees Celsius, and it will stop as soon as your coolant temperature is below 60(I'm not sore of this value but around that). The car will stop before cold air could enter.
Sararu Valentin It's all residual heat from the engine so it will blow cold if the engine is not warm enough and it ends at the cycle
Did you code your angel eyes to stay on when you unlock the car?
Tony Mendoza Angle eyes are coded to stay on as daytime running lights
Tony Mendoza If you have the headlights to the auto position, they will always turn on when you unlock your car (no coding there)

Jose Christian both of you need to find a local bmw code person to enable that feature on your bmw
You need to have the car off, often it needs to be completely off like in my 2006 bmw 550i
In LCI this button says ALL? 2011 e92 here ._.
ALL button is a little different vs. RESt. You could have yours coded to do the same stuff
Does it work in SUMMER? For COLD air??
Prince Infini for summer/spring time you would do the venting option. You set a time and then the vents will turn on to let in cool air from outside. It's only good when it's not too hot out, but you would set the option in your iDrive menu 😀

Prince Infini its called parked car ventilation and you set the time you want the vents to come on to air out everything in the cabin

bimmerman3 nope, they replaced it with the ALL button (doesn't do the same), but you can have it coded!

Yeah probably. And i was wondering what the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel does on us versions. Because mine has the recycle button for the fan and multimedia changer. But i seen american cars have weird signs on the buttons
BMW Technicien We can change the settings on each of those buttons, but it's limited. I'll have to look at the options again, but I have mine setup for "mute" and "source change aux/radio/cd"
