Tally Hall was required by law to re-record this song because the genuine, unfiltered rawness was guaranteed to kill millions. That's why the demo goes so much harder than the finished product.
The main differences: -The 2008 one is slightly slowed down. This is more noticeable with headphones, while the 2005 one is normal. -The “In the gallows” bit seems more echo-y. -It seems like the drums are louder. -Zubins vocals are completely different in the “do you like how I walk” part then in 2008. -Also, the second bit of the bridge is far more filtered, almost Taken For A Ride-like.

He kept it short and simple and in quotes that he privately talked to someone via DMs about the situation (Most likely Rob or Ross cause they were the ones who were trying to help/teach Joe on Trans issues). I do love how much longer the ending is. It’s like hearing your heart monitor slowly fade away as you die on a hospital bed. The final sound effects of the wind playing as you reminisce of being at the beach hearing the waves crash, and you were happy. And then you’re gone.

Honestly I prefer this one more. There are still a few things I'd change but that's more with audio than the song itself.
Although I like the final version better, this version definitely does 1:13 betterm With headphones, it sounds like someone in the middle is arguing with 2 people in the keft and right ears. It's insane! What a shame it's not in the 2008 version.

why does this sound way cleaner than the version we have today
Tally Hall was required by law to re-record this song because the genuine, unfiltered rawness was guaranteed to kill millions. That's why the demo goes so much harder than the finished product.
This sounds different from the current one. I like it.
The main differences:
-The 2008 one is slightly slowed down. This is more noticeable with headphones, while the 2005 one is normal.
-The “In the gallows” bit seems more echo-y.
-It seems like the drums are louder.
-Zubins vocals are completely different in the “do you like how I walk” part then in 2008.
-Also, the second bit of the bridge is far more filtered, almost Taken For A Ride-like.
How is no one talking about the drums, I cannot emphasize how much harder the drums go in this version, especially in the fast part, Ross did his thing in this song
