    Thanks for letting us tag along with you in New York City on your way to the music store. Definitely appreciate the sights and sounds along the way. That Vinnie Moore CD for 12 bucks was a major score don't let anyone else tell you different. Even in used mint condition this was a steal. I can relate with the mom and music statement also, not to forget dear old dad too. Can't thank these two enough for introducing me to different music genres on my musical path in life. Take care and be safe and enjoy your day 🤘✌️ Out!!!

    The Vinnie Moore album is Amazing. My favorite from him.
    You brought me some great memories, way back in 1999 I found that album sealed in a dollar bin ( I think was a Specs store) down in Fort Lauderdale, when I was living in South Florida ages ago.

    Had my own record store experience this weekend in Albuquerque and scored some good stuff, each for under $10. Found Stage Dolls' s/t and "Stripped", Kingofthehill s/t, Rick Derringer's "All-American Boy", a Rhino compilation for Brownsville Station, and (the big find) Company of Wolves s/t.
    Loved the story behind your find of Cher's "Heart of Stone"; the ballad "Does Anybody Fall in Love Anymore" is a favorite and was Kane Robert's only hit single.

    Every time you do a Book-Off video, I'm blown away by the amount of used CDs they carry. How long does it normally take you to get thru their entire section? And do they have a separate area for new arrivals or is everything alpha by genre/artist? Lastly -- that church you showed (on your way to the store) was amazing. I'm sure I've seen it before in movies or TV shows set in NY. Really cool to feature those kinds of landmarks in your experience videos. THX, Brendon!

      Lately ,in this store he visited, they generally alphabetized all the cds in the pop, country, rock sections. The jazz, classical, Christmas, religious are in separate sections. They don't have new arrivals section. There are also drawers full of cds that don't fit on the shelves.

    • @BrendonSnyder
      @BrendonSnyder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jared! The church at the beginning is St. Patrick’s Cathedral and is very famous the world over so you probably have seen it in TV shows and movies. As for the record store it takes a few hours to go through it all properly. Unfortunately there is no “new arrivals” section. So you have to start at the beginning of the A-section and go all the way to Z each time.

    The prices on CDs tend to be really high for used items. Probably the only store that would ask $14 for a used Beatles CD. The one in Brooklyn is in Japan Village and is mostly manga and manga/anime memorabilia. If there were any CDs, they were anime soundtracks.

    • @BrendonSnyder
      @BrendonSnyder  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep in mind there is more that goes into pricing a CD more than just who the band is and if it’s used or not. There are different pressings, if it’s out of print, quality, etc.

    I never knew that Chris Poland had a solos album !!!
    best guitar player of Megadeth ever !!
    sadly he sold Mustaines guitar and amp for drugs back in ca.1987 , so Mustaine threw him out of the band...
