Martha you are the best. I always follow your recipes and they always come out just perfect. You have taught me how to make banana bread, pull apart rolls....lemon cakes and a multitude of incredible lemon desserts. I love your attention to detail. Thank you...Dean from NYC and Berlin
I always loved watching you and reading your books and magazines when my girls were growing up!! They are adults now....you always bring anything home to a level that no one else can!!! I have all of your books magazines in my library!!! :*) Stay safe and healthy!!!

I would have liked to see the outcome of your bread pudding ...you make everything looks so easy to make !! It was cute to see you relaxing in kitchen in your pj talking about your farm & chickens !! That’s really cool 👍
What? No cinnamon? I have been following you for decades! I have to say if I could have lived any other person's life anywhere in time and history it would be yours. The grace with which you have handled adversity coupled with your love of beauty, quality, usefulness, value and simplicity are what makes you so admirable. You are my inspiration and my aspiration! I miss you on PBS and other channels. One thing I always loved is your decorating the White House when I think the Clintons were there. I miss the earliest issues of your magazine and having you on the cover. Now I get to watch you on TH-cam! Bravo!

DO NOT PUT FRUIT ON TOP OF THE PUDDING to bake. The currants come out as dried up inedible little black pellets, something akin to rabbit poo! Put your fruit under the top layer of bread. Also, make sure to let your bread absorb the custard mixture for about 10 minutes before baking otherwise you end up with toast on top of your pudding. Hope these tips help someone.
I will purchase one of those orange squeezing tools online from Macy’s . Martha Stewart brand of course. This will be a special gift for Apostle Carolyn who is a huge Martha Stewart fan. Thanks Ms. Martha for the recommendation during this video.

A whole loaf of brioche left over. That was handy. This looked very nice. In the UK this is more like what we call bread and butter pudding. For us bread pudding is quite different; old bread soaked in water for 30 mins, squeezed out so it's like a dough almost, then add an egg, some sugar, currants or sultanas, melted butter a little milk, and some mixed spice. Mix well, put in a buttered tin, and bake for about 45 mins until it is dark brown. It may well be a bit burnt (caremalised) in places, but it's delicious.
Martha in her fancy monogrammed PJs..looking good. I love bread pudding and this looked delicious. Too bad we didn't see the final baked product. Thank you for the recipe.
Good Morning, Miss Martha, Thanks for sharing this enlightening information. Most of what you said is familiar to me. But I never heard of adding the fruits. But I love Mince pie, at Christmas, so I know that the currants are good. I've got to tell you, Martha, that in the summer of 1993, I went to the state of Virginia to visit, and I was having a buffet style lunch at a four star restaurant there, and for dessert, I had the BEST bread pudding that I've ever tasted in my life!!!! Even YOU, my dear Martha, would have fallen out!!! This bread pudding must have been done by the classic traditional, old fashioned way, because it was so rich!! They used soft bread, and gently cooked in raisins, and REAL Anglias sauce, (I guess it was made of real cream, some sugar, some vanilla, but probably very little egg yoke, because it was a perfect creamy color). And let me tell you, this bread pudding was so delishiously GOOD, that I'm sorry to say that I gorged myself on it, couldn't help it, it was that seducingly, addictingly good!!!!!!! *but I did have some slight chest pains after that though. The cholesterol got to me, I think.

The best 👩🏼🍳 in the world is this woman eventing I cook I learned from her
Affluence goals: have your own laying hens and room temperature butter everywhere...
And that huge kitchen
Hardly affluence. Farming is hard work and butter making is too. Of course not all farmers are tv stars on the side😉
Pierre O. Park I grew up totally “lower class”. We had a chicken coop and a full garden. My mom canned the veggies. I could use a chicken coop about now.

Copper cup measurements are goals
