I love “Real Time”. I don’t work in a salon. I work from home and am building my clients so I have nothing to compare to except what I see from start to finish here. Thank you!!!
i was taking 2+ for a full set now im down to 1 1/2 hours pretty consistently 😁 you tips on saving time have helped a lot thank you for such helpful info you guys are the best
You guys are amazing at answering questions. That's probably the most helpful thing about these videos. You can watch tutorials all day, but if nobody answers your questions, you still can't learn. So, thank you!
You guys literally have the best freaking style for videos Habib amazing work my friend!! Top drawer quality and I love the intro tune to real time, gets me pumped every time ❤️ I found it very helpful to break down the time into how long each step takes Tracey to see where I should strive for. Also the amount of tips I can pick up from the conversation is bonus, the real life this is how you need to tell them is crucial. I’m reevaluating a lot thank you because it can take us years to learn that all from trial and error. You have to make the mistakes to learn from them and find out what worksbut also what doesn’t 🙏🙏 xo to the whole young nails team you are making a difference more than you will ever know
Just wanted to say thank you so Much I’ve not touched acrylics for 4 years I wasn’t confident at all amd avoided like The plague. After binge watching your videos all week I’m Now back to being confident . Thank you good clear honest education ! Thank you
Young nails’ products are just amazing. The quality is unquestionably wonderful. The first time my nail tech used your products on me, I just new that I should archive Young Nails’ certificate.
This videos have helped me so much as a beginner it would take me 2 whole hours to do a fill 😭 I’ve cut doing my time so much Thank you guys for everything you do! 💕
Thank you youngnails you guys are the best. I need to practice that technique for the French tip. I'm still working on cutting down my time with taking off the color and prep. I take way too long doing that part. I didn't know there was a time difference and I assumed fill and rebalance were the same service. Know I know why some "fills" took me longer than others.
I just wanna say ,I Love love your work from beginning to end and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world YoungNails Rock, thanks for always keeping us informed and always love the tips and tricks, keep up the Fantastic work🥰🥰🥰🥰💅💅💅
Protein Bond does last awhile unless you spill it and in Alaska it’s gold because it’s hard to ship. Good tip about the ceramic dish. I have two I don’t even use!!
Nice. Young Nails is my go to for all my acrylic needs once I get there. I’m believe you shouldn’t be all over the place. Find products that work for you and go with what you like.
After this video I have a ton of questions and I'll apologize now, but between what you did and then talked about my mind just started running. So first off the fills: a mini fill is at 2 or 3 weeks and you only fill the cuticle area. A rebalance or back fill is a cuticle fill plus a recut of the smile line and rebalancing of the arch. How does this work in the salon? You book her at 2 weeks and then again in 3 week? Or are you choosing one or the other to do your clients at. (Every 2 or every 3). You mention you day has both fills booked so do you let the client decide which she wants to be? I was originally taught by Greg, to do clients every 3 weeks as 2 is to early and with 3 you can have more clients. Hearing this new way of filling has me so confused. Please help and explain. 2) Crooked nails- Do you try and sculpt it straighter or just follow it the way it is? Maybe someone can do a video on how to deal with them. 3) Sugaring - I love this look but a client brought up that it's not sanitary. She said that she thought of it while preparing supper and had dead chicken all over her hands, yes she washed them but feels the bacteria stays on the sugar. I feel like the answer should be no, but wasn't sure. Her sugaring was light in color and I did notice at her 3 week fill it was badly discolored and or stained, it looked dirty. Can you offer any information on this? 4) Price - You say 60 is fill price but for what we had to do its 70? But never explain the extra 10 charge, you then add 10 for 2 smiles lines and 5 for glitter. $85 total You also say you wouldn't charge 5 a nail per smile if it was a full set of them but a full set price plus a smile charge, but didn't say what that charge is. So what is the charge? So if someone comes it for a rebalance fill on a full set of pink and whites you would charge them 90 plus extra for it being pink and whites??? Wow
Thanks young Nails that was my big question about the natural nail coming away at the free edge. My mother in laws nails curl and are very dry so is her hair so I was making sure it wasn't me doing something wrong when doing her nails she just does Gel over her natural nails and don't like tips so if she breaks one I use forms. This problem is just starting and so has her recent dryness of her hair.
Yep common for hair and nails to do the same things beings they are both built with keratin protein, using rose oil religiously will help with the dryness
Is using a pinching tool and pinching a curve done on more of a client based request? or what the nail tech his or herself perfers? Unless you already have a slim nail bed naturally, I could never imagine "not doing it". Of course everyone has their own taste, but it just seems like the look of a pinched nail so that its not wide and flat like a shovel would always be preferred if the client was shown the difference and given the option. Thats not even throwing in the "more strength" factor. Could you share your thoughts on pinching? Thank you.
My question is do you throw all that product away that you let fall on the paper towel or can't you put it back in the cup I see you just wrap the paper towel up like you're going to throw it away??
Yeah, when I got my protein bond. I was like why is it so tiny?! It looked bigger on the video. Ok. I'm half way done with my mia secret primer. Then, I can fully dive into my yn protein bond.
Amazing! Would Flash n burn work nice also as a glitter press (if I wanted to top coat it). I'm thinking my next set will be Modern Nude with Flash & Burn !
Firstly great job ladies, killer as always. Quick question, so you used the finish gel top and sugared, took the mani brush and dusted soooo my question is,,,,, there’s no need to top coat and to protect the slick pour and you can go straight to the oil??? Or did I miss you doing that? Again beautiful
You are following the steps correct. Finish gel is a non wipe so therefore when the loose glitter is poured into an uncured layer once cured you can dust off the excess and you are good to go, top coating over it would take away the texture from the sugared affect.
I’m not a nail tech - just a teen wanting to be a nail tech when i can but I have a question. Why does the nail sometimes heat up/burn when e-filing it?
Hi! I have a question. I just got a model with gelpolish. She wanted a new color(she has a different nail tech). So I filed the topcoat of, placed a cotton pad soaked in acetone with tin foil on her nails, and let it soak for 15 min. But it just didn't came of!!! I had to file it of her natural nails. She told me the nail tech always placed her hand in a machine with liquid which get warm and then filed it of. Not scraping. What can it be?
I know you guys are always trying to help us nail techs with tips and tricks to be super fast for a salon setting and im very thankful for that but can you please do a video with a crazy elaborate design.. like some awesome intense color blocking with acrylic.. or a looooong set of nails.. just something that's not whipped together fast wham bam boom done in 30! Lol I've seen young nails comment on bethany stockells IG so I know you know of her.. I wanna see tracy or Greg do a set like Bettany.. or set by nails by Evon.. or even a fay set by kirsty meakin.. i just want 1 video with some crazy bad ass long set inspired by one of those people I suggested... please please please do a video like that!!!! 😁😁😁😁 PLEEEEEEASE!!! Lol thanks for sharing guys 😊
Yes l agree less of the basic stuff and a little bit of out their comfort zone,go big or go home lol. It would be great to see something a bit different.
Victoria Thomascik most of what we do is for salon timing... so many techs struggle to make an income because their time is so slow... but having said that, yes we can do intricate designs and techniques. Will put it in the pipe. 😁
It takes me way too long to do fill ins. 20+ mins just to take off the gel polish and prep the natural nail. If the nails are lifted, need cutting down or be replaced it takes even longer. I noticed she didn't changed drill bits to a sander piece to prep the natural nail. Did she slow the machine down? That drill bit won't cause damage to the nail? What drill bit is that?
Question also on the pricing. Are there a lot of people willing to pay $85 for a fill? I know pricing is probably different from state to state and I know I don’t have a problem paying for quality work and most importantly quality products but it seems as if there are a lot of the non-standard nail salons out there doing it cheaper. I’m from Lancaster, PA and it just doesn’t seem like there a lot of (I hate to say) real nail salons anymore.
You guys should add links to everything you used in your videos, in the comments section. You should also probably sell them as sample packs for specific designs. That would be great!
Id like to know the structural difference between almond and stiletto. Or even round. When your rounding the tip of there are so many mistakes that can be made and its not like you have a direct line to follow
The tip shaping really comes down to client preference. Personally I love a good like dagger sharp nail but most people would prefer a stiletto with a softened tip. I think it is mostly about communication with the client.
But say someone is changing from stiletto to almond or even longer rounds... the structure is the same? How do you keep from not rounding the tip upward almost like a pipe shape? Same with coffin how do you keep the straigjt line on side walls without going upward or inward especially with tips
Simply elegant as always... Please could you do either a 'autumnal🍁 or all Hallows eve🎃' set of nails... It would be great to see you do something a little crazy my lovelies... 💫💛🍁🎃🍁💛💫
yes, however maniQ is universal, finish gel doesn't always agree with gel polish as it is too smooth and will result in "pitting" or shrinking away from the edges
@@youngnailsinc ok. I thought Finish could go over everything, as long as there's an overlay under the gel polish. Is Finish considered a hard gel top?

Would for sure use an efile to take down bulk if shortening a lot. Never really any reason to start over completely unless you use tips, there was damage done, or by client request like a drastic shape change or something.
I have a question : When I do my acrylic nails, the bead always sticks and more or less disperses itself into my brush. And I have to clean it every two beads. It's a bit annoying, and, as I'm beginner, I feel like it might be me doing something wrong, because in every video I watch, I've never witness this kind of struggle... Could it be from the quality of the monomer or the powder ? What can I do to solve this problem ?
Sometimes the product or the brush has to do with it. Acrylic can get kind of gummy and stick to your brush, be sure you are wiping the brush after every couple points of contact with product
Folk "complaining" about Tracey not charging for different topcoats all the while they are charging $20, $25, and $30 for a set of nails while Tracey can currently command $90 for a basic set with tips or sculpted! PRIORITIES PEOPLE! LOL!
Her "2 hr pinkie nail" was as fast as it takes me to get a bead🤣 havent done nails in 4years and never was good i loved hair in school now i have time to learn nails
Could you make a video focused on lifting. I have clients who come back with no lifting at all and others who always have lifting. Why do some people lift and others don’t even tho I’m doing the same prep.i hate doing their fills because I spend so much time trying to remove all the lifting. And it’s always the same people. I know this is a problem lots of nail techs deal with I would like to hear what you guys have to say about it. Lol I trust everything you guys say ❤️ Thanks for these videos.
Not trying to butt in but just a little advice... look into an acid primer sometimes it helps. Some ppl have more oily nail beds naturally so you need to take extra steps to combat that. Some ppls hands are in water more or the dreaded "pickers". There can be so many reasons not just tech error though its most common. You can try double priming too. Go though your steps and see what works. Maybe they dont work w the brand acrylic or gel you use bc they are too oily. Idk just shooting out ideas. Hope it helps not trying to intrude
I like naio nails. They are over seas. Naio has a great mono thats called max adhesion i use for my tough clients it has primer in it. Its a little slow setting but its great. I prefer to work with gel but i do both. If you cant wait or dont wanna deal with shipping i suggest you shop around for 1. Tons of companies make them. I think ugly duckling has 1 in canada and light elegance might have 1 too. Try around and ask around on social media and see what works for you and them. Just make sure you really keep their nails dry like double dehydrator too. I do that for my own bc i suffer from oily beds and my hands are always wet. Young nails has great products and i love them but they unfortunately dont work for everyone. Protein bond is fantastic but some ppl just need more. Dont get on skin and use sparingly if you do acid primers may tingle a bit
Maybe if you duplicate put the slick pour powders underneath the acrylic section people might get the idea. I feel so bad you have to keep reiterating that you DO have 100+ colored acrylic powder. 🤦🏻♀️
Is that Ellen degeneris doing nails? Lol....... she sounds just like her. I know I probably didn't spell it right, but you know who I'm talking about. 😀😁😃🤣😄😅😆😉😊
Seriously, that was incredibly rude. Male trades, way to stereotype. A man cannot do nails? Guess hair and make up is out of the question too. How would you like it, if it was said that you should go back to being barefoot and pregnant and in the kitchen? Habib and Greg, your help to make nail technicians more efficient as she puts it, is so valuable and much needed in this industry. The fact you give us these videos for free, free to everyone I might add, not only those who buy your product. That is so selfless, and one can tell its because you care, care about the industry and the working technician in it. I personally, and I know thousands of others, deeply appreciate what the two of you do for us techs, and the nail industry itself. The fact that your men should have no bearing on anything, please do not listen to that person and her small mind. And definitely do not apologize.
Should probably get a silent model that doesnt sound so grumpy and condescending - DOES NOT make it sound genuine. Maybe you'll get more subscribers ;) Dear Artist - make your own channel. Your energy is far better solo!!! Naio Nails level

When I do my acrylic nails, the bead always sticks and more or less disperses itself into my brush.
@@youngnailsinc thank you for your answer, I'll do that !
Folk "complaining" about Tracey not charging for different topcoats all the while they are charging $20, $25, and $30 for a set of nails while Tracey can currently command $90 for a basic set with tips or sculpted! PRIORITIES PEOPLE! LOL!
lol
You should put a Tupperware container underneath the nail when you’re doing the glitters so you can pour back in and not waste it
Thank you
❤️❤️
Behind the violet, is there acrylic or did you use a tip?
Acrylic
YoungNailsInc thanks, also what material is the blanket she removed when she finished with the removing?
Cherish Sheehan yeah, the white thing she’s using like a towel, I like it. Thanks.
It is called a table towel, we sell them on the website youngnails.com
So laughing at the "3 hour pinkie"... I thought it was just me!!
Lol
Did she put a top coat on the sugared nail? I didn’t see it?
Nope sugared nails are left raw to give it the texture
Does the glitter end up rubbing off over time? Thank you for answering my questions btw, yalls content rocks! 😘
❤️💜🧡💛💚💙 shes right
❤️❤️
Her "2 hr pinkie nail" was as fast as it takes me to get a bead🤣 havent done nails in 4years and never was good i loved hair in school now i have time to learn nails

Tracey is like a towel magician.. how many layers does she have?? Lol 💕
Lol!! They are a life saver
@@youngnailsinc I go through so many paper towels I should definitely invest in some towels... would be a lot more eco-friendly!
But aren’t those disposable. Cuz I was thinking daaaang she’s using so many of those towels.
🔥🔥
Thanks
Could you make a video focused on lifting. I have clients who come back with no lifting at all and others who always have lifting. Why do some people lift and others don’t even tho I’m doing the same prep.i hate doing their fills because I spend so much time trying to remove all the lifting. And it’s always the same people.
I know this is a problem lots of nail techs deal with I would like to hear what you guys have to say about it. Lol I trust everything you guys say ❤️
Thanks for these videos.
Will look into it for sure
Not trying to butt in but just a little advice... look into an acid primer sometimes it helps. Some ppl have more oily nail beds naturally so you need to take extra steps to combat that. Some ppls hands are in water more or the dreaded "pickers". There can be so many reasons not just tech error though its most common. You can try double priming too. Go though your steps and see what works. Maybe they dont work w the brand acrylic or gel you use bc they are too oily. Idk just shooting out ideas. Hope it helps not trying to intrude
Ashleigh H thank you! Would you recommend a good acid primer?
Ashleigh H I’ll probably try the naio.
Thanks a bunch!!!
Drill bits r us
❤️❤️
I just opened my new protine bond, holding it how I did the almost empty bottle and accidently poured it everywhere 😂😂😂🤦♀️
oh no! the worst
Maybe if you duplicate put the slick pour powders underneath the acrylic section people might get the idea. I feel so bad you have to keep reiterating that you DO have 100+ colored acrylic powder. 🤦🏻♀️
Lol! working on getting to word out!
Is that Ellen degeneris doing nails? Lol....... she sounds just like her. I know I probably didn't spell it right, but you know who I'm talking about. 😀😁😃🤣😄😅😆😉😊
Lol!
No think it's more will it ever pay for itself
For sure
Almost made it first. Just a few seconds behind.
Haha
No it's do the bump do the bump
Lol
I just wish the time and motion man would check out some male trades and stop asking to be paid for making nail technicians more efficient
I'm sorry?
Maybe you'll get more subscribers ;)
Dear Artist - make your own channel. Your energy is far better solo!!!
Naio Nails level
lol!!
The woman having her nails done sounds so bored and uninterested. Video was super helpful though
