Very nice Tuuvas. That was an excellent comendian intro for this video. Laughed real hard. Also regarding the new replay feature: really a game changer. Always had the problem with my Quest Pro that VR footage (45/90 fps Hz) did not match well with a 60 fps recording. A problem of the past for sure.
Yeah, when I use my Quest Pro, I find I have to limit the fps to 60 via OpenXR Toolkit. Otherwise there's a chance the recording will come out slightly jump/jittery. It's really strange!
Just came across your content in my feed today. Quality stuff man! Keep up the good work. Im looking forward to binge watching some of your previous videos!
@Tuuvas not at all. I'm a small content creator myself, so I completely understand the learning curve that comes along with making and editing videos, Lol. I'm really enjoying your content!
I can't imagine how much of a game changer the track replay fixes have been for content creators. I would be curious to see how much of a time saver it actually is long term. Also, I was someone who started playing Falcon 4 with an xbox controller while deployed, and it all led me to DCS and here we are years later. You doing all the leg work in creating profiles for different airframes within DCS is absolutely going to grow our community. You constant help with people who are having setup issues .. it's appreciated. Thank you for all that effort, oh, and thanks for the included ASMR audio of Jabbers. I never know what he's trying to teach me, but I know it's hot! 🤣
I love these "totally realistic" missions, where someone puts a brigade level worth of SAMs, and SHORAD on two square kilometer block, to protect a tank company or FARP from the enemy... 😂
hahaha give me the realism that requires me to spend 3 hours+AAR flying to an AO, loiter for another 3, end up doing nothing, then RTB'ing for another 3 hours+AAR!
3:33 The 9K121 Vikhr has a max range of 8.7km, regardless if you're moving or hovering. Just looove the animation of the missile as it whirls to the target, however DCS can add the heatblur of the missile flight, the first 5 seconds as seen in real life vids.
I'm actually not flying with a HOTAS in this video lol. Just using a gamepad + Quest Pro VR headset. Here's my PC specs: RTX 4090 FE Intel 13900F 64GB DDR5 6000 CL32 2TB M.2 SSD
Yup! I was originally unsure because I thought it was far less capable, but the trailer showed otherwise! Now I'm very excited to see what it has to offer! Plus I'm sure plenty of controller users will want a layout to use for it day 1
@@Tuuvas Awesome, looking forward to your controller layout for it. Heatblur said that the manual will be available shortly, I have pre-ordered the lone wolf limited edition with the Navy shock Phantom t shirt. Your layouts have been invaluable to me, especially seeing as I had to remap a lot of my modules when I changed pc!
I hardly notice the difference in 4k playing at 1080p with all the settings maxed looks amazing on my laptop 3070ti the biggest difference I notice in the settings is heat blur and gamma
How did you fix your replays? When I go back during dogfights the bandit seems to still do whatever it wants as opposed to what it did when I recorded and saved. Am I supposed to do something else other than saving the track? Thanks.
Replays are only fixed for players. If you were dogfighting an AI, it's likely that they will do something else as part of a brand new simulation instead of repeating what they did during the recording. Fixing AI replays is on the to-do list still.
i got a vr jsut yesterday and can't get the recording to work nice for shit.... i can't capture dcs window with obs, obs plugins do not work (pimax), closest I've come is to record display where the dcs mirror is and forcing the square image to fill the screen using power automate, which then looks like really unsharp and stretched... do you maybe by any chance have a video about how you set up whatever software you're using to record?
Honestly, OBS-wise, there's nothing special happening. I'm simply recording DCS in non-VR mode while watching back a replay of my previous VR session. After that, I just change my OBS quality settings to match whatever resolution I want to record at. In this case, I'm using 3840 x 2160 at 60,000 bitrate for a 60fps recording
Yup! Just start a replay of a VR session and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING related to view/camera. As long as you don't interrupt the VR head movement payback, it will show you all your head movements from the gameplay session.
In latest 2.9OB my Caucasus looks as grim as it ever did with 7800X3D, 64GB DDR4 & 4080. Best on Pico 4, worst on Quest 2 but still pretty garbage - the trees are mostly what makes it look so bad, but the gamma is still FUBAR
Damn RICK ROLL

Great quality content man! Loving the editing and production value.
Thanks! I'll continue getting better for the next video!
That's some slick editing!
Right? Was thinking the same. Very nice opening and editing. Happy to see a Jabber crossover😊

Lovely video, i really like the running commentary! Something I wish I could do myself!
Love this. Great to watch the gameplay in such high quality.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yo this is some high quality H20 my guy! Great video!! Let’s slang some Hot3’s soon!
haha I'll have to hit you up on your next stream once I get my controls bound!
Bro, that was Excellent filming.
Fantastic video as always!
Thanks! And look! I went in for guns without dying this time!
That intro went really unappreciated. Great job man!

Amazing video! Subscribed.
amazing video bro
Full feature Replay is to milsims what modding is to Skyrim. ABSOLUTELY vital.
Amazing video dude, loved it

Amazing video! Sadly not enough likes on it, I hope YT fixes this bug
haha hopefully YT decides to let the video pop off one day
RICKROLL AAHAHA HE GOT MEEE GUYS
nice!
Haven’t set my rig back up since my house flooded in hurricane Ian. But your video changed that. What vr headset are you running?
You are genius
Amazing video! I just have one question; which server was this flown on? Looks like really fun missions!
This was Georgia at War. The password to join is hoggit1fw
Really loving your videos! Can I ask what your computer set up it (I know you're flying with hotas in this video)

Hi Tuuvas, will you be picking up the Phantom? Looks amazing!

DCS in VR for me is now perfect, hope it lasts !
Agreed! Fingers crossed it only gets better!
very interesting video, btw what server was this?
Hoggit Georgia at War server
Thanks 🙏
makes me want to learn the black shark. wish i had time :(
Any tips on stopping the shaking of your head during a vr replay
Open XR toolkit's prediction reduction does this for me. I crank it down to 100%

how do you deal with the NARROW FOV in 2D mode ?
Use the fov slider in the system options to change your fov during replays
I just came across your post from Reddit. Great content! Which VR headset do you use? I can tell from the software it's Oculus/Meta, but which model?
Thanks for stopping by! I'm using the Quest Pro for this particular gameplay session.

Wait, DCS records your VR head movement in the replay??
How do I see this?

@@Tuuvasoh shit I have to try this!
Thanks a lot !
DAMN this makes me wanna play the ka50. but even with your gamepad setup its extremely difficult to fly any heli (even the ka50)
lol, if it inspires you, all the gameplay in this video was done with a gamepad. The only non-gamepad device used was the VR headset.
@@Tuuvas Wow, how do you keep it so stable? looks like you're flying it with an actual setup
I do it by:
1. Calibrating my thumbsticks
2. Setting the minimum deadzone needed for that calibration
3. Practice. Practice. Practice.
...the Black Shark has no RWR capabilty? How? Russian JETS have had them since the Mig-23, minimum.
😍
Problem is in Multy player session, we don't have save track file.. We have to wait for this.. But yeah in pve we can use this 😎
Your local client saves track files. Check your saved games folder.

Yeah except DLSS is nothing like max graphics because it blurs everything and causes horrible ghosting :D
Good thing I didn't have it enabled for this replay recording lol
When the title says TRUE 4K but uses DLSS 🤔🤔
Yep get scammed this is not TRUE 4K this will never happen when using DLLS a Upschaler
The direct VR recording attempt was with DLSS. The track replay was without.
LESSSGGOOOO!!!
