    I wouldn't say that Jason was staying with his mom; I would say that his mom was staying with him.. Because it seemed as though he had a better job than his mother did. Plus he was the one with the car.. He was likely the one paying most of the bills in the house.. There are a lot of adults doing that very thing right now today.

    • @Moedrojojo

      When they said Jason was staying with his mom they meant it as he felt the need to stay and take care of her vs leaving the city

    Bigg Jah you,Kenn Edwin and your co-host Tone Price made my day with this review. I always believed Lonzo let Josh go because Jason was Josh's brother and he knew his sister Lyric had feelings for Jason. When Jason beat Lonzo up why wouldn't he tell the homies it was Jason and you guys touch on it a little; Lonzo had boundaries. Keep up the good work brothers!!

    A “love virgin”. That was beautiful interpretation.
    Jason not being Mad Dogs son is a dope theory and makes a lot of sense.
    “What you’ve found is quiet in a world full of thunder” WHEW‼️
    The fact that Larenz Tate’s brother doesn’t have a name in the movie OR in real life is sending me 🤣🤣🤣
    It was Mos Def high school sex they were having😂😂😂
    I agree. Casting did PHENOMENAL with baby Jason & Josh!
    The awards - Bokeem 🤣🤣🤣🤣
    The fact that Jada Pinkett-Smith has to have it in her contract that she’s a bum and a bus must be present is HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣
    Jason’s Lyric is 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽 for me. A tragic love story.
    This was yet another great segment.

    Me being from Texas and growing up going to Houston on weekends, living in Houston and I have family in Houston, one thing that I did not like about this movie was people in Houston were not country as hell. This movie made us look like we were some country bumpkins. We’re not like that. If you ever been to Houston, the city is not like that and we don’t talk like that at all. People from Houston didn’t like this movie.

    • @MrBmick79
      @MrBmick79 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      man i was just thinking this. I always assumed from the way the movie was shot and the accents that they were in Louisiana. I never saw the movie but it was always on in my house growing up. Literally found out today that the setting was spose to be Houston. Thank you for pointing this out.

    • @SoulOfTheSouth
      @SoulOfTheSouth 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrBmick79 No problem. Im just speaking from a Texas native point of view. If you ever come to Houston, ask anyone about what they think of Jason’s Lyric. They’ll cringe about it lol. I just hate it when Hollywood would film in Atlanta and Miami and they’re treated just like regular normal cities but when it comes to filming movies in Texas, they portray us like we’re riding on horses everyday, milking cows, wearing cowboy hats and seeing yeehaa and shit smh. I tell people that in order for you to know about a city, you can’t judge it by watching films. You have to come visit and see for yourself.

    Y'all's evaluation if the ending was super interesting to me. I have ALWAYS interpreted the ending to be another one of Jason's dreams, because of the plane.
