I stumbled upon this episode because I follow Bigg Jah and Tony Baker. This was such a great conversation and it would be really cool to see Tony on more episodes. Peace to all parties involved!
Wood Harris is versatile and I believe underrated. I been seeing him in believable roles starting with the gangsta in Above the Rim, a football player in Remember the Titans, drug kingpin in the Wire, a lawyer in some other small time film, Gooch in Next Day Air and some more projects. Dude is a beast. (Bokeem Woodbine is another underrated actor too)
Mitch was living in a room with his brother in that scene cuz that was his high school years…he went to jail in ‘84 and he was only 18/19 and that’s midway in the movie…also in the movie, Mitch had ppl selling for him(Remember the part he pulled up to collect money and dude said he was robbed and he told him he can’t sell unless he find that man)
Ernest Dickerson got his inspiration for juice off of the real paid in full story. He grew up in that neighborhood at that time. Bishop is Rico ( alpo ). He talked about it on a documentary.
I think one of the reasons why mitch was sharing a bedroom with his brother because the real life characters were really young like 16 17. But the real ace (AZ) said they were off with the film
This is the comment I was looking for. You are correct. They where definitely teenagers when they where getting money. Honestly in the 80's crack era. A lot of young dudes was getting money.
I feel like this was just for me lol I'm legit happy lol. I been asking for Paid In Full since day one. So surprise more people haven't reacted to it. You guys are the best. Tony needs to be the permanent guest.
the thing about paid in full that led to alot of the mishaps is the people don't realize that Azie, Mitch and Rico were teenagers. their inexperience played to their demise
@@sircharles9166 They all had their own apartments in real life. The movie just does not do a good job of retelling the story. AZ actually hates the movie.
My favorite over actor in this was an extra. When Mitch pulls up after he gets out and everybody goes over to greet him, one of the guys in the crowd does a little jig on the way over and it cracks me UP! 😂😂
Mitch actually did have a team. They found the guy that robbed them and Mitch shot him which sent him to jail. Unfortunately they weren't the BEST team which was more to Tone's point, but he did have a team
The scene where Rico punched my man in the car and made him strip wasn’t written in the script. Cam really punched him in the face and busted his nose.
This was an excellent take on a classic with valid points. Some stuff Tony & Big Jah pointed out I never noticed in the movie. Makes me wanna go back and watch for the subtle nuances.
I don’t feel like it was a hard switch for Pac. Notice that he looked up to the man going out in a blaze of glory, and how he was frustrated running from everyone. He was even willing to rob with Blizzard. It was always in him, the gun just gave him the power he always wanted. Even in his speech, he said, “He ain’t shit” also demonstrated his power by saying, “As soon I decide you ain’t shit, POW.”
I think Bishop was always crazy and violent. After his first kill, he was scared, but liked the power of killing some one. He just snapped. Felt like he could do whatever he wanted to.
In real life Azie, Rich and Alpo had multiple houses and stash spots, and both azie and rich got screwed over by family members or people close to the family, thats why they didnt see it coming
shoutout to jah always figuring out this youtube game he gonna be teaching others how to do this soon !!! this pod works aint even watched it fully yet but you can tell its simple and worth the listen due to the topics and the branding with the old school block buster colours nice work !!!!
This is the first episode I’ve watched of the show. I love the conversation. How they always brought it back to “Paid In Full”. Amazing episode. When they started talking about The Wire I was all in 💕💕
Love these reviews. Tony B is a great addition on this episode. Paid in Full is def underrated, missed a good theater release. Wood Harris is a hood movie/ series legend between this and The Wire. Killed on Remember the Titans too.
20:47 Wrong mitch had his own workers and soldiers that he managed before ace jumped in the game remember mitch made his worker go find him the man that's robbed em
I can't watch 'hood' movies, I've seen too much in life and I don't like seeing my people in that light. Plus they've made several documentaries and had interviews about the situation. I will say that the discussion was very insightful and entertaining, and I like to see black people having discussions, debating opinions, and just hanging out without incident.
13:27 The movie Sugar Hill is a one, Wesley Snipes plays the role of a drug dealer. He get outs but with a cost. If you haven’t seen it already I highly recommend it👍🏿
Man, this was great, everything about it, especially the indepth breakdowns, 10 outta 10. Also, loved the Wire, Snowfall, Boyz n da Hood parallels. Sidenote: Belly was a horrible, horrible movie, most overrated shit ever.
Joey Badass (Unique from Power Book lll: Raising Kanan”) as Mitch Shameik Moore (Shaolin from “The Get Down” or Raekwon from “Wu Tang: An American Saga”) as Ace (maybe) Siddiq Saunderson (Ghostface from Wu Tang: An American Saga”) as Calvin TJ Atoms (Ol’ Dirty Bastard from “Wu Tang An American Saga”) as Rico
Tony Baker an big jahh in one room debating movies 🗣️ I'm here for this one !
This
I’ve been waiting for this team up since the first episode. You hit it on the head.
Debating Paid n Full makes it even that more classic 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tony baker definitely gotta be a regular guest. His insight on films are amazing.
No, not a guest permanently 😂this was amazing just like you said. We the watchers need this forever.
When jah started this show, the first person I thought of was Tony Baker because this is up his alley so glad he made it to the show.
3 bald black man.... So much shine in this episode🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing
You won
“Get you some soup, a thermometer or sumn. You’ll be aight!” Favorite quote
"If I walk away from the game, are they still gone love me man?" - Money Mitch
So Deep!
Mitch gotta be the MVP!!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾hell yeah!
Jay's's song Allure that Mitch line was a summary of that song 🎶 High off the life and Addicted to the game
I stumbled upon this episode because I follow Bigg Jah and Tony Baker. This was such a great conversation and it would be really cool to see Tony on more episodes. Peace to all parties involved!
He'll definitely be back!
Tony Baker KNOWS movies 🍞🍞🍞
NORE needed to be there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That scene was everything b

Yoooo brother you said it that man is the truth REAL RANGE
Also the cop in BladeRunner 2049

Exactly. He was a kid
Ernest Dickerson got his inspiration for juice off of the real paid in full story. He grew up in that neighborhood at that time. Bishop is Rico ( alpo ). He talked about it on a documentary.
Love listening to black men who share my passion for the arts. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
Seen Tony in the thumbnail and said "lemme get in on this"
I think one of the reasons why mitch was sharing a bedroom with his brother because the real life characters were really young like 16 17. But the real ace (AZ) said they were off with the film
This is the comment I was looking for. You are correct. They where definitely teenagers when they where getting money. Honestly in the 80's crack era. A lot of young dudes was getting money.
Great point
I think mitch stayed in the room with his mother was to protect his mother from her brother
Very True , 2pac was not known as a rapper in 1992 when juice was released. Crazy we don’t think about that now
Cam'ron straight up killed his debut role. He deserves an Oscar.
James St Patrick, Franklin Saint, Avon, and Marlo would be in the final 4 of the Dealer/Kingpin tournament
Eh, I would think Nino Brown would have a place in that category….That’s just my opinion though.😂
The best podcast in the 🌎 “straight up in down”.
In the world Craig
I feel like this was just for me lol I'm legit happy lol. I been asking for Paid In Full since day one. So surprise more people haven't reacted to it. You guys are the best. Tony needs to be the permanent guest.
2002 Hood movies classic filmed in 2000.
Rico to Ace “Niccas get shot everyday B, you tough right ”
I was waiting for a Tony Baker episode!
Can't Wait and it's about Paid In Full!!
the thing about paid in full that led to alot of the mishaps is the people don't realize that Azie, Mitch and Rico were teenagers. their inexperience played to their demise
Joey Badass as Rico...he killing his role on Raising Kanan
Joey to smooth ya digg he might have to go as Mitch
Rich porter wasn't old enough to get an apartment the real ppl were on teens which is crazy but I love the flick
😂😂😂Damn i wanted to tell them this, the characters are grown but rich porter was 15/16 years old
@@jdottjdott7517 lol my bad G
Rich Porter died when he was 20 something. He could have gotten an apartment
@@haydotzero3372 I’m saying though if you buy cars underhand you for sure could’ve had somebody put a spot in their name for you

Me and my Cuzo do that jig every time we see each other with something new and we both 50🤣🤣🤣
Mitch actually did have a team. They found the guy that robbed them and Mitch shot him which sent him to jail. Unfortunately they weren't the BEST team which was more to Tone's point, but he did have a team
I always wonder how Beanie Seigel would've performed as Rico!
Tony definitely needs to be a regular on this show!🙏🏿
I’m here all day for this conversation. Every molecule!
The scene where Rico punched my man in the car and made him strip wasn’t written in the script. Cam really punched him in the face and busted his nose.
Yall might as well review The Wire.
Review it by the season
I simply love this podcast. Havin in-depth discussions on movies is my absolute favorite thing to do!
This was an excellent take on a classic with valid points. Some stuff Tony & Big Jah pointed out I never noticed in the movie. Makes me wanna go back and watch for the subtle nuances.
Please bring Tony back and discuss American gangster that will be dope!!!
Yessss
Absolutely !

New Jack City from Nino point of view would be a hard ass movie for real
In real life Azie, Rich and Alpo had multiple houses and stash spots, and both azie and rich got screwed over by family members or people close to the family, thats why they didnt see it coming

Benny The Butcher: “… pull up like Ace in the beamer. But first you gotta relate to that Ace in the cleaners”
LL Cool J as God in In Too Deep needs to be a part of this conversation. A$AP Rocky as the recasted Rico
I can see Rocky as Ace. I would go A$AP Ferg or Casanova 2X as Mitch and/or Rico
@@chevyfeen86 casanova would make a great Rico… if he can act lol

Went to the TH-cam channel. Saw the movies that were covered. Subscribed immediately! Let’s get it!
He wasn’t over acting Cam really punched him. Watch the Wood Harris interview on the breakfast club and he talks about that scene
The dude that got hit from Rico got hit for real by Camron. 😂
Facts B!!!!
Same dude that got beat by Beanie Siegal in Paper Soldiers?
That cat was running like that because Cam really socked that man lol
