Just come across this video as I was looking for ideas on fixing throw-over bags to the bike without having to buy expensive and ugly pannier bars....this is brilliant and easily removeable when not using the bags, thank you for this :D
My kinda guy: we have 6 dogs, also all rescues, we had two cats (rescues, now with a friend) and I have 2 RE's, a 500Classic, a SuperMeteor650, 2 Fiat 124 Spiders 1980, 1 Renault Caravelle 1967. And I lived in Koh Samui for quite a while, hahaha. Now based in Italy. Love your no-nonsense vids, great. Do you do all your vid-mixing work as well? Compliments, nice!
I’m very tempted to buy the 500 Classic one day to play with. Cheap now second hand. I think the weather in Italy is kinder? Yes I film and edit my own videos. Still learning. All the best 👌🙏
thanks for the video. I bought a SM650 a few weeks ago and it came with c bow brackets from the previous owners. I now have the choice of selling the c bow brackets on ebay and adding a small amount of money towards getting a kit from India with their own brackets and hard leather satchel type bags for £150. Or I just buy a pair of c bow bags for over £200 for soft not so good looking boxes or over £500 for the nice satchel leather ones.
Welcome to the family. Did you see my video about Trip Machine Saddle bags? Panniers or Saddle Bags? Super Meteor 650 Expedition - Trip Machine Special th-cam.com/video/ilct0foerv0/w-d-xo.html
Yeah, I saw your video, they look nice. I am definitely not getting a set of hard plastic Givi panniers, I think they would ruin the look of the bike and a tip box is a 109% no no as well I have taken the c bow brackets off just now as I wont need any luggage for a while.
Thanks for sharing 👍.I own a Classic Reborn as well as a Meteor, both have been on long road trips and the Meteor wins hands down. Intention is to buy a SM this year fir European touring but I'm not going to let the Meteor go 😮.
Yes I’m am very much missing my Meteor 350. There is definitely room for both in my life. The 350 actually has a lot of advantages over the 650. I will be making a video soon. Meteor 350 vs 650. Should I upgrade? Hope you get to see it. Thanks for watching 🙏
@@Teacher-T-Thailand I rode my Meteor from UK to Dieppe across Spain to Central Portugal before heading to the Algarve along the Med and back to UK. I found the bike a dream to ride and in what I can best describe as "monsoon conditions" had no problems at all with HGVs who gave me loads of space when on the main highway. After 5 Harley's I find the Meteor perfect for the the job and laugh at those that turn their noses up at the Meteor 😲🙏
I just bought a Super Meteor and looking around for accessories which are quite hard to find while living in the EU. You may know where you got that saddle bag? Beatiful bags but I can't seem to find them online. Greetings from Germany!
Congratulations on your purchase. I bought the bag as a clearance line from my RE dealer. I think it was made for the Classic 500. But true, I don’t see them around any more. Good luck with your search 🙏
Hi, that's a great solution! I have the same bike. Do you have problems with connecting the mobile app to the bike? If yes, how do you solve it? Thanks for the reply.
@@Teacher-T-Thailand My phone is well charged, I think the problem is in the application itself, a lot of people complain about it, but it’s not clear what to do.
@@Ho1eMak3r on a 2,000km ride, the phone cut out far less for having it permanently charged. Stopping it going into sleep mode maybe? I feel a videotape coming on 🙏
I have watched this multiple times.... One idea struck me yesterday..... The idea is: why don't you try connecting both bolts with the same pvc pipe instead of resting on the holder... You just need to add another L shape and a connector to the other bolt to give it a nice look rather than resting the PVC pipe on the handle. That way it looks even tidier
Ha ha. Thanks for watching. A number of reasons. 1. I don’t think the bar would be long enough. 2. Lazy. 3. Easy to undo 1 strap, and lift the bar and slide the bag off. 🙏
That’s gotta be the best excuse to get a super meteor. I needed a bike to fit the bag 🍻💪😎
It worked. 🙏😂

You are welcome. Sadly removed from my bike now, as have been sent some bags to trial. Video should be out on Friday. Worth a look 🙏
@@Teacher-T-Thailand Nice, will give it a watch for sure 🙂
After watching the video, I installed the same on my bike.
It was a great help.
That's great. Always nice to know people that listen to Teacher T"s crazy antics 😂🙏
I like your innovation Mr. T.
More innovation to come. ,,😀🙏
Teacher T,… thx for sharing a great idea, i just made the same for my SM650
Good to hear 😂🙏

@@Teacher-T-Thailand The Classic 500 is a lovely bike, very agile, comfortable, torckey, economic, good looking, good shocks. Tjok dee!

@@639viablecarrot a relaxing pleasurable bike to ride. The 650 is a bit of a beast that needs controlling.
Brilliant. A real live thinking person.
So rear these days.😂
I hope you meant rare 😂🙏
@@Teacher-T-Thailand sorry, I'm very dyslexic and at 67, I don't even try any more.
Should be more careful chatting to a teacher😅

I did. I think it’s a power saving mode issue on some phones. Connect the phone to the usb, and have it charging. It disconnects a lot less. 🙏
