Hello Carolyn. I did the DCP Spring 1998 and Fall Advantage 2001. I didn’t know about the Program until I was literally in it. (We had in person interviews at that time. They did 2000 or so in a day and told us: ‘We’re choosing two of you’)
With how prepared you all are-I wouldn’t be accepted compared to you.
This video made me happy-thinking someone like me influenced you at the age of 7.

I completed my WBI last night and got the message that I was a strong applicant, I have been looking at my email every two seconds, the wait to know is absolutely killing me! I have such high hopes tho, fingers crossed!

Congrats!! I applied a few days ago but not feeling too hopeful about getting in after hearing what I should’ve put in my job descriptions. My application still says “Application received”. But I have already made edits and changes on my job responsibilities for next year thanks to this video and your helpful tips!!

hey! watching this before applications drop for fall 22 DCP! So for the questions like "do you work well in teams" and "do you work well individually", is it contradictory to put strongly agree for both? Thanks for all the tips and tricks and advice!
When I applied, these questions definitely tripped me up for a bit. As to the response to these questions, It all depends on how the it is worded. I definitely indicated that I work well in teams as well as individually and I got accepted in the first round so idk. I really wouldn’t worry about it too terribly much. So long as you answer honestly and don’t try to force an outcome you should be fine. Disney has been doing this for a long time and they can tell when you answer honestly v. when you try to answer what you think they’ll like
I just got through the web based interview. This tripped me up a good bit too, but I leaned towards working in groups since Disney really wants to see that you’re a team player. I put disagree for working alone just so I wouldn’t be contradicting.
Just applied to the fall 2022 program. I got past the WBI and got the strong candidate message, but this was about a week ago. Do you know how long it should take to hear back?
I heard back by the end of the week but it could be a couple months. In your application received email Disney should have given you a date that you definitely will hear by. For spring 2022 applications, that date was December 10

Hi! This was a super super helpful video! I was just wondering if they ask on the application if you would be staying at flamingo crossing? Do you know if it’s held against you if you don’t live there? I know it’s best to live there for the experience but I was just wondering if it’s an option or held against you on the application if you didn’t live there? Thank you🤩
They definitely didn’t ask about living in dcp housing in the applications. After you’ve been accepted Disney will email you with housing information and then you can chose to opt out of Disney housing if you chose too. Living at Flamingo Crossings has absolutely no bearing on whether or not you’ll be accepted✨
i have a question about being vaccinated, is there any way to tell them you have an exemption?

Definitely don't down play your skills! There are other questions where you can show that you're a team player
Hi! I just applied today and got through my WBI as a strong candidate so I'm really excited! I have a question about dates though. For my application, I went through all the questions and there was not an area to choose the earliest day we could arrive and the latest day we could leave for our program so was that step after you had gotten accepted or during the initial application? Thanks!
When I applied it was in the initial application but people that I’ve talked too for this round of applications have said that it will supposedly be part of the offer acceptance process
Hi! I got the strong candidate , too ! So now just waiting…from what I remember on the application it said if you could arrive as early as May and stay as late as January but nothing more specific than that. Is that what you recall as well ? Thanks and good luck 😀🙌
Congratulations. Quick question i applied on this past Monday and the same day I received my wbi. I completed the wbi and at the end I got a notification that I am a strong candidate, I checked my dash board and saw that I am in consideration. My question is what is the next step and are the offers usually done on monday?
That’s great! Congrats on passing your wbi! As for next steps, there is nothing more for you to do as at this point you’ll either get an offer or a rejection (but I feel confident it will be an offer✨). So far this application season offer waves have gone out on Mondays and Friday, but I have noticed more acceptances on Mondays. Hope this helped!

Do you get to pick what type of room you want (2x2 4x4 , etc.) or are they assigned?
You do get to say that I would prefer to live in… but it’s not a guarantee and Disney will put you where they have space
whats the quickest I may get an answer? I finished my WBI a couple of hours ago and it says im a strong candidate. If there is a wave monday is there any chance I could hear back from disney?
For spring 2022 applications, they pretty much sent out an offer wave every week
I just applied for fall22 and was wondering if I needed to attach a cover letter and resume?
You definitely don't need to, its not a requirement; however, I attached both a resume and cover letter in addition to my college transcript
Hi! I applied in the fall last semester and I made it to my WBI but unfortunately didn’t get i. Should I still use the same resume that I had saved on there?
It sounds like your resume was great, that’s what got you through to the WBI. Unless you have any new work experience, I’m sure it would be fine to keep
Hi! I did the web based interview but didn’t see anything about being a strong candidate or not. My dashboard still says I’m in consideration and they want to get to know me more with a phone interview or online interview. What does this mean?
As of January 2023, they have brought the phone interview back so you should receive an email here before too terribly long asking you to schedule one!!!

No! Living independently is like a little bonus - it won’t make or break your chances of getting accepted
If the program start date is June 6, does that mean you move in on June 6 or do they schedule move in days prior to program start date? If so, how many days before? Trying to help someone with travel arrangements. Thank you.
That means you move in on June 6 and the will probably have traditional and become an official cast member on the 10 or so

They take all forms of card so your credit card should be totally fine

You don't have to on the application (I did though). You will have to turn in proof of enrollment once you've been accepted though

I have a question about the work experiences, since it says list your last 5, what happens if you’ve only worked at the same job for 2 years? Would it be okay to list other activities I’ve done or does it only want jobs?

Hi Luke! That's a great question. It's not a big deal if you don't have 5 "jobs"listed on your profile - any relevant experience is fine. Volunteer or unpaid experiences are just as important as "professional" jobs. Include any experience that you think best shows off your skill set.
P.S. 2 years at a job is great! It shows dedication to your current job and employers love that!

hi i’m a freshman at ucf right now and i am trying to build up a resume. what jobs would be best to apply for this program? I was thinking anything that works with kids or an internship with another theme park.
Honestly any work experience is fine. Disney just wants to see that you've done things and put yourself out there. If you're really concerned try and apply for guest facing roles so you can show that you know how to interact with people in a professional/service setting

Congratulations! Don’t worry Disney does not care about acne - even princesses have acne so don’t stress at all

I just applied today and immediately was sent my WBI. When I completed it, it said I am a strong applicant and they would contact me. When I log into my dashboard it says I may be asked to do a call or video chat. Do you know how long it may take?
You're actually going to skip over the phone call portion of the interview. That's something new that they've been doing with the last couple of batches of CP's. After you've completed the WBI, you've done all you can do. Your dashboard says that because its the same dashboard they use for all Disney job applications most of which require a phone call/video interview

Hey, you explained the process very detailed but I didn’t get quite well the housing details. How do you put down how much you’re willing to pay and is there a system that you put down the names of people that you meet through Facebook groups or anything and all that stuff! Thank you ☺️
That is a great question. There is no housing component to the DCP application. After you have been accepted you will receive additional information from Disney 30-60 days before your program starts about room sizes, rates, and roommate linking✨

i can't seem to find the 'add your most recent education/work experiences' anywhere on the jobs website. have any other ideas were that might be?
So Disney has a jobs portal where you can input your various jobs but it’s kinda hidden. You can’t necessarily find it with a google search so my “cheat” to find the input section is to “apply” for any job posting they currently have open and input your information. It’s the same application system as for the DCP and once you’ve inputted your information all you have to do is save your info and delete your application. With that being said as soon as applications drop the inputting page become very easy to find through the Disney programs webpage

Two used Linkedin, another sent me to Pixar, does it matter? do you know exactly which job you "applied" for? Thank you!

Hi! I'm trying to figure out how to apply to the program in Anaheim, but can't seem to find a link to any information on applying to that one. I only see information on applying to the one in Florida.
Unfortunately the DCP in Disneyland hasn’t come back since the pandemic. The only option at the moment is Disney World in Orlando

So my actual resume is only a page long but I had 5 jobs with 3-4 bullet points each on my Disney jobs profile

@@CarolyninFantasyland are you able to cancel that late in the program? i absolutely want to do the program but it scares me to death that they’ve removed the entire “role preference” indicator. i have an extremely weak stomach and i just can’t be around certain things without being sick, if i was offered custodial i think i’d have to cancel. do you know any details on that? i know the program fee is nonrefundable, and i’d bet it would hurt you chances of ever applying again?
@@avakay1 you can term before your program starts if you so choose or you can submit a medical accommodation request. I know some people who got placed in roles they physically couldn't handle and then submitted an ESA and got changed to a different role (with that being said they didn't find out their role until they got there because the submitted their request so late in the game)

about housing, is that a choice you get to make definitively based on what you want to pay? a preference? or is it all based on availability, (i.e. you request to have your own room & bathroom but end up sharing a bedroom). and when do you know housing details? sorry for all the questions, these are things i’ve looked up but there doesn’t seem to be an answer available!
@@avakay1 so you don't get to definitively choose your housing but you do get to say "if there is space available, i want to live in this room style." You get your lease with what floor plan you've been assigned about a month before your program starts. Also you can submit a medical accommodation for a specific room type but they are a bit harder to get because there's only x amount of rooms available (the 2x2's do have a privacy divider that splits the bedroom in half if that helps)
