Head desk. They did away with the external rear battery :/ What's the point of two batteries then? Also , how hot does it get? One nice thing about the T450s was it ran so cool. Unlike any laptop I've ever seen. This seems not as good to me. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, it's super cool. I haven't monitored it's temp but I can tell you that the fan rarely turns on! The T440s was hot hot hot. I had to use a program to keep the CPU fan running. It's been running 11months now and I'm very happy, although the palmrest did become shiny after only about 30 days and I've just about worn a hole in the keyboard keys like I did on the T440s.

A very good laptop, but the autonomy is just unacceptable ! With WI-FI on, maybe you can have 4 hours autonomy. In the same time x260 and x270 are exceeding 9 Hours!
It will vary - they make millions of them. But to get an ideal interleaving-match, you should be adding an 8GB DDR4-2400 module: PC4-19200T-S Single Rank x8 unbuffered non-ecc. When you add a 4GB module, like he does, or a 16GB module like others - you will gain by having the extra RAM, but not gain any memory-speed as it will not interleave the read/writes. My particular T470s uses the Samsung M471A5244CB0 module which is specced here: www.samsung.com/semiconductor/dram/module/M471A5244CB0-CRC/
Probably. There is a good chance that would be fine but to be honest I am no longer a tech and am a bit out of the loop. You could try it though. You'll need to move the LCD cable as well. You can also search here for similar questions forum.thinkpads.com/.

No problem. 1 month in with the T470s now and it is awesome. No hesitation, very fast. I have the 512GB PCIe solid state drive in there and it is the icing on the cake. :)

Good question. Yes, they connect via a ribbon and are replaceable when the time comes.
