  • OK, by popular demand from some of my friends and customers where I work, here’s a quick rundown of how I got started with this device right out the box. I’ve been using boss products since 1990. I still highly recommend reading the manual To get your ideas stored on how you want to perform live before going into public with this thing. It can be a train wreck if you’re not careful. LOL. Enjoy my video😁

Thank you. I enjoy your sense of humor while making these demoes. It is HARD to do!!

Great quick and simple tutorial, thanks! I have spent so much time exploring all the options with my VE8 and am still learning its capabilities. I have only used it effectively in solo acoustic performances but I’d like to use it in my band, as we need more harmonies happening and not everyone in the band sings!😂
Am I right in thinking that the VE8 works better if run straight into a PA without using any of the PA effects (other than Pan etc.)? If I run my electric (or acoustic) guitar line from the VE8 to my Boss Katana amp, it seems a bit trickier. I guess I could set a dedicated channel on the Katana to just run clean, with no other effects but I like the versatility of the Kat! Also, if I run both mic and acoustic guitar into my Fender Acoustasonic 90 amp, I can’t really turn off the effects of the 2 channels on the amp to focus on the VE8 settings. I can only dial the amp f/x down to a minimum, so there is still some duplication. Any tips? Am I best to give up trying to use the VE8 in my rock band situation and h just use the VE8 in a solo situation and run both mic and guitar straight into a PA? This means I’ll have to invest in my own PA… I like the simplicity and portability of the Acoustasonic combo amp for solo gigs in small venues (cafes etc.).
    Appreciate any suggestions!

Hi , hoping u can help . when I loop the volume seems to drop way down compared to the part that I’m playing live .. I’ve tried adjusting the volume control knobs on the looper side but it just doesn’t sound right ? I love this machine but it’s just so damn complex with all the different settings . In the manual it says to hold the small loop button and then use the arrows up or down to control the volume but isn’t the knob the same exact thing ?

It’s a lot harder without the guitar chords strumming through the device to change the harmony. Good luck tho🎸

Why aren't you using the XLR out? It looks like you are only using the 1/4 out.

That's because Iam using the 1/4 out for this demo. The vocal and the guitar are mixed together which makes it very easy for hookup.

I bought it for the XLR out. Its noisy and loud with no output control. I agree the 1/4 out works great. I just wondered if you had a fix.
