Excellent video and so informative. I've had a number of individual teeth implants for over 7 years with no bone loss. My dentist did talk to me about diet, and pointed me to foods, supplements and vitamins, for example magnesium, vitamin d etc which is supposed to be conducive to general bone health. I do practice the suggestions he made. I can't say definitively that this is the reason for my successful implants but maybe had something to do with it. For my gums I don't smoke, don't drink sugary soft drinks etc. I wonder how many dentists talk to patients about these issues when they are getting implants.

What do you think about, first remove teeth. Immediate dentures for the first 6 months to a year. Then, look at getting implants? I will be 70 years old this year. I have receding gums.
When I was preparing to get implants and the click-on denture, I had my last 12 teeth extracted. My regular dentist sent me to a periodontist who has been doing this since the 1980s when you needed to be in a hospital setting. It’s disgusting if you have paid 50 grand and they want to charge you for complications, that should be included in the procedure and especially for the amount of money that was already paid for, especially if it’s something as unscrewing a tooth.
My mom is in her 70s. She has five teeth that are individual implants. When she signed treatment plan they went over if the implants failed or got infected. She would be charged the full price. To have them done again. Which is exactly what happened. Now they are fine and she is not having any problems. But unfortunately there is added cost associated with getting them. This why they make traditional dentures because they are low risk. When it comes to getting them.
@@angelaschaefer5883 That is absolutely terrible, it doesn’t even cost them a grand to do this procedure, it’s quadruple x4 the profit they make, and the more they do the faster they will be and getting more ppl in. I almost started laughing and said if I back in to your car I’m not responsible either Right, but I didn’t. It’s crazy that they are making the patient responsible for something they caused, completely backassward…if that’s a word. I’m glad your mom is doing great now.

I have been keeping my teeth bonded with. Composite. They are at a point now to where I cannot nourish myself properly. My local dentist that offer the 4 on 4 want 50,000 for both plates. Yes you heard that correctly, FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS. After much research I believe the 3 on 6 would be better all the way around. If one can afford such procedures. It's a flat out SHAME that Americans have to run around with decaying painful teeth that can cause much illness because they cannot afford the astronomical prices that are charged. Iam one of those blue collar retired workers that can have my remaining teeth removed with my insurance but then what ? Walk around with no ability to nourish myself ??? Not to mention how it makes one feel emotionally. AMERICAN DENTIST, GET IT TOGETHER!!! THERE IS NO REASON THESE PROCEDURES SHOULD COST WHAT THEY DO!!!
Then get them pulled at low income dental clinic like I did six months ago. I have had no teeth since March. I am eating fine. Just nothing hard. I wear mask in public to avoid embarrassment. Until I can order dentures online. I wish things were easier and more affordable for everyone. But in the meantime you need. To look at alternatives you can afford.

Question if you go from Dentures to all on x. Is it an easier surgery? Is there as much bleeding/ swelling? I would think since not going through the extractions it would be easier. Thanks
There will be some discomfort afterward because the procedure involves some reshaping of the remaining bone and implant placement. Also, the amount of remaining bone will often determine the difficulty of the surgery. For instance, someone who's been wearing dentures for decades may need implants anchoring to the cheek bone, etc.
I had an upper denture for 9 years. Had 6 implants done in November. I wasn't sedated and drove myself to the appointment and back home. I had very little pain that went away after a day.

Dr. Choi I am 6days post op 4 in 1. I have being using the Peridex as Rx'd, using my mouth guard, icing q 20m. But I felt like lifting my upper lip and my gums look like I had excess "plaque". Googling I see that Peridex can cause that? I don't have any discomfort, bleeding anymore, mucus/pus, just see the gums "whiteish" with more plaque. I was able to see a few stiches. No sensitivity on the gums just common discomfort and numbness on my lower jaw everything is fine. Please let me know if it's OK, or if I am getting an infection. Also I am drinking my Rx antibiotics q8hrs. Thanks Lizzy
I had the same thing done January 10, 2024. I call it the All On 4. I am in constant pain and discomfort. One of my plates broke. Are you in pain like me and do you get canker sores? They never told me the downside when I got mine done. It has destroyed my life
Another consideration for patients whose surgeons are using a stackable guided system, is to ask how many non-guided all on 4 cases they've done. The guided systems entice under experienced doctors to perform these case with a false sense of security. After shooting and editing hundreds of cases for one of the top teaching oral surgeons in the world, I'd say at least 40% of our guided full arch cases required deviating from the planned guided case sites and placing implants into alternate sites selected intraoperatively. So the value of the guided stackable system altogether looks secure and "sexy" but it is overrated and attracts clinicians who lack adequate experience and really is nearly obsolete imo, with 3D planning and printing capabilities available now. Great video guys!
Sir, I appreciate your candor about the risks. The other You Tube pages should be labeled “advertisements”. I’ve been asked by at least 6 ophthalmologists if I would get LASIK surgery. It’s unnerving when they are wearing eyeglasses.
You need to do what I did. I Googled low income dental care. The state and town I live in. Had the teeth pulled the charge was based on income. Places like this don’t do dentures. So I have no teeth right now. Eventually I will order dentures online. I no longer have infected teeth. Which was spreading rapidly. Putting my life at risk. I am able to eat just not anything hard. I wear mask when I go places in public. It does get better it just takes awhile. Please get it taken care of.
The 90% success rate for the maxilla and the 95% success rate for the mandible is over-generalized. First, what is successful? Survival? Five years? Ten years? Second, doesn't success depend on the experience of the surgeon and the condition of the patient? Thus, a female patient who smokes and who has osteopenia and is post-menopausal may have a success rate of much less than 90%. You might consider lecturing on the benefits of keeping teeth, rather than having teeth replaced by implants.
in theory part of your comment is great! Be true to your teeth or they will be false to you. However some of us have had stuff happen that we can't save them at a cost we can afford. Here in Phoenix a dental school offered to save my teeth for almost 80K! total restore of the mouth. The stress and teeth grinding does not help with just a lecture. Dr Choi is just informing on the video what the pages of small fine print you have to sign and agree upon before they start work. To be informed is to be impowered; your questions are real and need to be asked about yourself and your situation not a hypothetical subject.
I had the All On 4 done on January 10, 2024. I have been in constant pain and discomfort for almost 6 months now. I spent almost 70K to get it done and I have been regretting it since about the second day after the work when the pain started. My gums are red and sore and it feels like I have a knife stuck in my upper front and lower front. There is no way to get rid of the pain, no medicine will work. What else can I do? I don't care about the cost. I just wanted to get rid of the occasional tooth ache and crooked teeth but I would go back to that in a flash. I wanted to look good for my YT channel because it started doing good. Instead my life is destroyed.
I just went to two different consultations for the 4 on 1 . One doc said yes you are a good candidate and went through the process and price of 20k plus sedation which was another 2000. Gave no other options. Went to my next consultation and the doc told me I had other options besides the 4 on one. Said I could have single implants done, I could have my teeth bridged ect. He said having my own teeth even if they are crowned are better than dentures. He said he would do it if I wanted but to explore ALL my options before making a decision. The place was Nuvia,, and pretty much talked me out of spending 22k right now. So I made an appointment with a great local dentist to go over what he can do for me and what the cost will be. I can’t say enough for Nuvia not trying to sell me something I might not need yet.
Not saying I would go to Nuvia just because common sense says that you need time to heal before getting your permanent teeth. They give them to you after just 24hrs.
I got mine at NUVIA dental in 24 hours with permanent zirconia teeth and the truth is they are professionals I had no problems.. I think you are less qualified
getting your final teeth within 24 is not logical at all… i mean, ur gums after surgery is so swollen that after it’s healed, you’ll have so much room between ur prosthesis. Sure, maybe you were lucky it worked for u, but for most patients, this is NOT predictable. Also when did you get them done? Also, a doctor that takes more precaution to ensure a better result doesn’t mean their less qualified, hope that helps! ❤
Most dentists willl not give you permanent teeth in 24 hours. Maybe temporaries, but not permanent. Your gums will be swollen from the extractions and/or surgery, so while a permanent set may fit immediately, it could become a different story as the swelling goes down and the shape of things settles into its new normal. With the swelling gone, you could find the permanents no longer fit as well. So, specialists like Dr. Choi wait for the healing and then size your permanents based upon how your mouth shape is once fully healed. This is what he does day in, day out, so he is very qualified to comment.

To have them done again. Which is exactly what happened. Now they are fine and she is not having any problems. But unfortunately there is added cost associated with getting them. This why they make traditional dentures because they are low risk. When it comes to getting them.
Agreed.
@@angelaschaefer5883 That is absolutely terrible, it doesn’t even cost them a grand to do this procedure, it’s quadruple x4 the profit they make, and the more they do the faster they will be and getting more ppl in. I know the dentist told me if I jack up your other tooth I’m not responsible,I said well you better not jack up any of my other teeth while fixing this one. I almost started laughing and said if I back in to your car I’m not responsible either Right, but I didn’t. It’s crazy that they are making the patient responsible for something they caused, completely backassward…if that’s a word. I’m glad your mom is doing great now.
@@angelaschaefer5883 - each time she had an implant, they failed? All at the same Practice? And she had the same practice fix them?
@@PamelaBrandonChromeFoto - lol. Even if you did smash his car, you still have to carry insurance $$$
On the scale of bone density d-1 to d-4 what is the softest bone do you recommend you can do?
I have concerns and questions regarding mouth and throat cancers and tooth loss. Does radiation and chemo affect the ability to have these procedures? Especially if the person has dry mouth and eating problems related to the surgeries. Does medical insurance cover any of these procedures due to medical related eating difficulties?
I was totally screwed over by dds denture and implant solutions. I wish I would have found you. Now I’m miserable.
Who is DDS? Is it Affordable Dentures & Implants?
Yes

Thank you for this great information I have had several procedures remove my teeth then wait months , bone draft wait some more six month then implants and more procedures and I'm still waiting which I understand healing process it takes time really appreciate this video
I had dentures for almost a year when I waited for my implants to heal
I got one implant on my upper first molar and just received the crown 5 days ago. When I bite into something it a little sore but it more feels like the crown is going up into my gums. Is this a normal sensation that your gums get use to?
The laughing 😂 !
😃
Hello you are right what you said just i do 2 implants before 20 day and i go to see the doctor I’m not ready to take a stitch out and she said to me to go again after 1 week I have a pain I fill like pinch in I can keep my temporary dentures she give to me I pay the first day all my money 😢but I’m not happy I need to take out my question is it’s hard to take out again my implants
Thank you for your honesty. Can you recommend a specialist in the Southern California 92308 area?
Please do a 3 on 6 video!
Do you have patience from other states come to your practice since I feel so much comfortable after watching a number of your videos. I live in the state of Georgia.
Yes, we have many out-of-state patients from all over America coming in! We do virtual consultations as well; just email us at @contact@northtexasdentalsurgery.com :)
요새 누비아 all on x 광고 유튜브가 떠서 보는데... 멀쩡한 치아 다 제거하고 제작되는게 문제가 좀 있어보입니다...
@@northtexasdentalsurgerythank you for answering this! I have learned a lot from all your videos. I have a great dentist and her son is my periodontist who are doing this for me, here in Nebraska. Excited but scared, but totally ready!! Thanks again.
@@maretkita4065I’ve had my dentures for 7 years. So ready to get this done, I can not handle them anymore!! Thanks for your comment!
here I am sitting in michigan wishing I would of traveled to you 3 years ago because I am struggling with my all on x (I have zygomatics and 5 on top and 6 on the bottom) and one of my screws are coming loose and no one will fix it. i'm not going back to my dentist because they are the ones that screwed up. I wish I didn't live so far because i'd be coming to you in a heart beat. I am 33, currently 8 months pregnant. Grateful to have a brand new smile but it won't be permanent if I can't find someone to tighten this screw.
How do i find a great dentist i trust? Iv went to several consults w diff dentists and they all want to pull my teeth, when 1 said he can fix them. Idk what to do or who to trust? Any advice on picking a legit cosmetic dentist? I should just come to you!!
just dont pull your teeth if they can be repared . this 4 on all implants is basically a fixed prothesis . u wont have same feel ing in your mouth
I'm at a loss. I was 'sold' on this lifetime product 29 days ago and my life has been hell. Im literally living a nightmare with my all on 4. So many things my surgeon did not tell me! I now know my natural teeth could have been saved. All i do is cry. I had no idea about the maintenence, the feel, or anything else. I will never be the same.
I feel the same.
I am so so sorry.
There are you tube videos on maintenance. Yes I agree they don’t feel nice.
I started my all on x and my dr was only able todo the top implants and instead of putting the prosthesis on they decided to realign my top denture so implant can heal better. Go back at end of month to do bottom. Have you had this happen before? The implants on top don’t hurt it’s been a week now which is good. Just curious what you think. Thanks
I thought the cbct determines quality of bone and placement of implants. It also my understanding that quality implants like straumann are best for ossinigration and sucess.
With final set of teeth installed do you have a gap or no gap ?.cause I've seen both ways advertised
I have existing full upper and lower all on 5 done over 3 1/2 years ago in Mexico but my upper has significantly loosened and I did have a local periodontist give me their assessment and I am looking for a second opinion but also seeking a more experienced professional.... especially after watching your videos in the past 4 months over and over again .
Dr. Choi does virtual consultations via Zoom
Can you not just have it tightened by an implant specialist or oral surgeon?
so all on 4 will not cause bone loss over the years?
My grill is in bad shape. I have a case of Gum disease that has cost me 4 teeth with more of the loose. I'm so hesitant for on all 4 due to cost and just not being sure if they will stay secure with me continuing to have bone loss. 48k is a lot to pay for a 5 year solution and still not able to eat freely. Thank you for your videos I plan on checking them all out as I soon will start my journey.
I am in the same boat and very nervous about getting this done and who to go with.
My all on 4 top became loose really scared me i was back into the sergery next day and there only my first temp set my dentist said this can happen and she put mine down to grinding where i slept she had my nightgard made in two days she did say to renew the nightgard was 700 dollars 😕 now everything is tighten up i go back in 8 to 9 more days she suggested that i have some shaved off all the theeth to make them shorter is this a thing ? I noticed one thing wear the cement or render goes wear the holes at back of front theeth one is smooth the other has fallen out by the feel of it the back render feels messy on the back screw holes im calling tomorrow to let them no i dont no if this is a emergency or not .your right about your mind set changing 😮im second thinking now thank you for the utube video
It has destroyed my life
Thailand, India Mexico, Cuba affordable

It’s the truth what you said I implant 2 but I change my I don’t like what I heard about the implants I need to take out
Shout out to Sydney. 🎉🎉🎉 I’m very close to Sydney
What is an FP1 ?
Good topic
I wish I found you guy's sooner
I wish i had money to sort my teeth out. Im so sad.
I live in Marysville Wshington state, would you recommend a great dentist in my area

Can you get a deep dental cleaning with implants?
You use special floss, water picks,
which Nuvia?
Now im very scared
70k? That's Insane!. You need to sue them
@@justbecause951 @JawTooth....This
What are you going to do? I'm thinking of having everything out.
I am so sorry.💔😢
if cost is not an issue just fly to fort worth Texas and see Dr Choi...
Uh nope.Took a full year just for full set of dentures
Give us the name of these corporations so we don't go to them!
Hi From The Sky 💫
I'm not gonna mention any names... (cough) Nuvia
Are they any good?
They place permanent teeth in 24 hours, so probably not the best option, watch the above video
Hes putting me off
Please Doctor Choi could you please thoroughly explain in Layman Terms and simplify not using Dental Terms and please not to mumble your words.
