Aimee - fantastic video's. Im sitting here trying to distract myself from pre -approval nerves. Our approval panel is tomorrow (although we've actually had a match already!!) and your videos are brilliant. Its calmed me, given me some super ideas etc. I wish I'd found you sooner! I feel you are from the midlands like myself too which is nice! Thanks again x
suze that’s incredible! Thanks so much for your comment. Sending all the luck your way for panel & hoping your matching panel date comes through quickly too. We were in a very similar position & Hope you get to move through things swiftly! 💚
Aimee vlog I forgot to comment back!!! We were approved with a unanimous yes which was fab. I remember you saying it was lovely to hear all the strengths being read back to you.... and it really was a fantastic confidence boost!! Just matching panel to go in August so getting through really quickly! Still watching your videos - so, so good - keep doing what you’re doing. It’s kind of inspired me to write about our experiences and journey (I’m a better writer than you tuber!! Lol) Best wishes. X
Thanks Aimee for another great video. I hope that our strong marriage will make us good candidates and similarly to you, I think we're both very open-minded and willing to learn as much as possible- which I guess is what brought me to your channel in the first place! Really appreciated your video on support networks - thank you for all the work you do to get these videos out. I wondered if you had been advised on online activity by your social worker? i.e. what you can share on your adoption journey and whats best kept private?
Hi Holly, thanks so much for your comment! You are very welcome, I am making these videos for myself but also for anyone who needs them, so suggestions and ideas from yourselves are always welcome! :) I was indeed! My video called "Where were my videos" talks about this in more detail but basically...the SWs and I disagreed about youtube altogether....very unfortunately.
If you live life successfully, can work, keep a relationship or other things that could suggest being a successful parent; I can’t see any reason that it would 💚
Hi Aimee. I am almost 50 years old.I am a UK citizen.I want to adapt an overseas adult who is 21 years old.can I adopt him? .and he and his parents are willing for adoption. Please tell me
Hi Talha, I'm so sorry, I don't have any idea how it would work when that person is an adult. You would be able to speak to your local council adoption team who would be able to advise you or give you contact details. Alternatively, you could reach out to adoption UK who should be able to do the same. All the best, Aimée

Hi Aimee, just want to say great videos. Thanks
Great work Aimee.
Does having a nervous disposition & being shy go against you with adoption, i'm worried it'll go against me

I'm sorry if you have been asked this many times but how long did the process take?
From initial information evening to bringing our eldest home it was 12 months...I will answer that every time I am asked, no need to apologise :)
Hi, wondering if you have anywhere I could message in private?!? Thank you xxx
M Louise you can direct message me on Instagram (aimeevlog) or email me on aimeevlog@outlook.com 😊
I'm worried that i won't be a strong candidate because me and my partner have autism
That does not need to be a barrier to parenthood. You should definitely contact some agencies to find out more.
